    Used to fit

I received this as a gift from a friend as a pay it forward pay it back sort of thing. I had been looking at the 30FF of this but been concerned about it being too tight. This was a perfect option to try. She sent it to me as we’ve been talking about fitness a little bit and she knows that I have been going to one on one Pilates sessions locally for a few months and have been looking for something to wear. I need something comfortable but with some support. Pilates is not high intensity or anything, and I spend quite a bit of the ... time on my back. So it’s got to be comfortable on my back...this is why I opted to go with the 32 band.

While it is not really my colour aesthetic (with the fuschia, electric purple, and neon green/yellow), it does seem to be ok with my skin tone and I don’t mind it as much as I had thought I would. I can probably get used to it but, I would probably prefer to have something that is a bit more subdued and understated.

The fit was a little bit of concern because the Chantelle sports bras that I have tried were closer to 9” although I usually stick with about 9.5-10” for regular bras. I got the 9.5-10” cup depth for this one. The cups fit. But they don’t. Confused? Me too! So this is what I think. The cup depth is perfect, but it’s the cup height and the fact that I have softer tissue that leans more towards full on bottom and short rooted, functionally. I’m actually a bit more even with only a nod to fob, and my roots are actually tallish, but shallow and deflated. If the cup volume and depth was the same but the cups were like an inch shorter, it would totally be a good fit. I added a few pictures with a basic ribbed tank that is semi racer back and you can see how it is poking out the top of the front some from the tall height.

The band on this one is good. It’s a little bit looser on the last hooks than I would prefer for support to do some activities and it feels secure with the next level of hooks in, however, when I am on my back or doing curl ups and such, I feel as though the band tension changes and the loosest hooks is quite adequate and comfortable. Not sure if that’s making any sense. I going to have to test it out more on my back with my home program exercises to see what feels best.

However...and this is a big HOWEVER, when I get on my back, my boobs soften and shift quite a bit to the sides and I have a fairly large pocket of space at the apex. While it is not a problem, visually, it does have a little bit of a strange feeling and one that is somewhat distracting. I will have to see if I can get over it. I’m going to my lesson tomorrow and will be wearing this to test out.

I do want to try the 32E (or a 30F if it’s a stretchy enough band). I think that even if the cup depth is a bit smaller than I need in a regular bra, the taller cups will have the room to contain my boobs vertically and give me a little bit of compression. The hyba sports bra top that I have in a small that I’ve been using is supposed to fit a bust of 35.5” per the website size guide. I originally bought it in a size medium (37.5”) was a great fit in the cups but, a little bit too large for the over shirt part. As it is a high neck bra top, the small works a little better as I’m a little bit more compressed and the tissue has room to fill vertically without it showing as too small. So...I think that this theory might also be able to be applied to the Panache sport bra if I size down in the cup.

The straps are pretty cushioned and comfortable. I have not really adjusted the straps length in order to use the j hook but I’m not sure if I really want to use the j hook. In the past, it was cutting into my shoulder blades and not comfortable. The underwire is also extremely padded and pretty comfortable. The wire is a bit wide for me, but only just so. The gore seems to be ok (my measurements are only for the wire portion, not the whole height of the center section, btw).

I think that a cup size down is going to be a perfect fit. I have my eye on a 30F so I will be sure to share that with you if I get it.

Update Jan 29/21: I wore this today under my new thermal top and it was fine! Is it the best or most ideal size for me? I don’t know for sure yet. I *am* still interested in trying the cup size down though, so I’ve removed my listing for this for now until I can try a 30F or 32E for comparison. I also added more pictures in my thermal top today.

I'm glad you found something good "for now"! I definitely think that one cup down is the way to go, that way you won't have any gaping when you're on your back. I would strongly advise you to stick with the 32 band, I'm a true 28 with no sensory issues and a preference for a snug band and my 30 band wired sport works well for me. Unless the 30F is really used and stretched out, I truly think that a 32E will be your best match. Thanks for such an in depth review as always!

The measurements of the 30F indicate that it should be good. She said that she had others in the same size but not added, so I assume that they’re all used at this point. I’m just waiting on a reply to my message. I think I will list this one as an exchange but continue to use it in the meantime. I didn’t actually use it today and just stuck with my current tried and true outfit since I had a bit of a rough night and didn’t feel like experimenting with it today. In other news, my lesson was amazing and I seem keep surprising my instructor without realizing it. Lol.

    • It’s very nice on you I don’t think you must go down cup size because if put all your bust into the cups the small cup doesn’t fit .and I find that if you measure 30 stay there because it stretch out quickly.believe me I know that from me

    • It’s a close fit. The wires are a little bit wider than I need (but doable) and the cup height is too tall. If you could see my shape inside the bra, you’d see that I have a little bit of room at the top where the purple is because I have functionally short roots. The one size down will probably fit better.

    • I think try 30 FF and if you can try one cup down and Scoop and Swoop the cups on me 30 J fits better than 32HH

    • Read brastop fit quide it’s help

    • I am swooping and scooping. A 30FF is the same volume as this but I can try to see if it is narrower wires and shorter cup height. But... I do fit between 30F and 30FF. I will have to see what brastop says.

    • Did you try 30 E

    • 1

No. A 30E will definitely be too small. I’m going to try a 32E or a 30F. The 30F I have my eye on is used so it’s a looser band.

    • I confused I mean 30 FF orG ?the used is stretching and the fit isn’t ok

    • A 30FF has the same cup height and width as this 32F so I can imagine that the fit is similar in the cups.

    • The band when it’s tight the cup changed the fit

    • Calluna I hope the 30F fits! I'm so happy to hear that you're impressing your instructor!

    • Did you try the new size 30 f

    • Not yet. I’m waiting to hear back from the seller.

GET ONE!!! Find a good size!!! Get another one!! Haha... I knew from the reviews these were pretty good but I've been aiming at the wrong cup size... And even now I could probably use the 34E... But I'm satisfied!! Nice firm hold on my rib cage, no movement and I'm still on the first hook.. which is great because I dislike starting out in the middle hook, feels like it may already be too big and if it proves stretchy would be https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />. Overall I'm just happy!! Wore yesterday with some Ewa michalak cookies... That was blissful!!! Gave me a little space between the bottom of the cup (on my ribcage) and lifted my boobs off of the wire area. Has anybody else tried this bra!!!?

I have 3 (2 in a 30E and one in 30DD which is small on me) and have found I need a band extender for the first wear after a wash and then I can use the largest hook. I can be bloated and tender from PMS and I can still run 5-6km with no problems.

    • Good to know about the washing!!! Hehe they're still snug at the end of the day so I bet washing the first couple times would've had me worried ;)!!! Had tried a panache 32ff Porcelain model back at the beginning of my quest that gave me quad boobs, which is why I was so thrown off by sizing!! Now that I know my ballpark sport size I am tickled!!

I find the band on the Panache Porcelain Elan more true to size and it stretches more even though the tag still says 30E.

With shipping, I paid $19.75 for this bra. It's a good supportive sports bra. It would probably be better for someone who wears a 30FF, not a 28G.

This sports bra is so comfy it's like pajamas for your boobs! Yet it still magically controls the bounce, even tho there's a little extra room on top for me (it's quite tall in the cup). The band is true to size and the cups give a pretty rounded, but minimized shape. I ADORE how the straps are placed--very close inward so they don't rub on my shoulders! Everything on this bra is soft and padded and I think I'll be wearing it as a normal bra sometimes because it's so comfy (and cute with the leopard!)

Super comfortable and works well for my needs. I sized down in the cups after finding my usual 32FF too tall in the cups. I find the J-hook useless because the straps don't adjust long enough, or maybe because where the hook is placed ends up sitting too high on my back. Don't feel the need to try other brands though because despite these, it feels nice and honestly rarely need a sports bra.

I'm a 30FF-32GG but I got this in a size 32F because it was the largest size available on the site I was using. I have FoB, narrow rooted bell-shaped breasts.
The cup size was too small for me personally but I still wore it because it was the best fitting sports bra I had at the time.
The shape is very nice and it's super supportive. I also like how it separates the breasts rather than cramming them together the way many other high-impact sports bras do.
This sports bra is very good and it was wonderful to have a sports bra that fit and supported me. Just make sure you get the right size.

This bra definitely pushes you upwards, which is not my favorite thing. The band runs a little snug as well, unfortunately a mismatch for me.

This is my second bra in this style, my first was a 32FF - Panache Sport » Sports Bra (5021) in the latte color. The larger cup fits better in some ways, but I am dropping a little more weight, and suspect/hope that the smaller size will last longer and "contain" me a little more. If the cups were a little shorter or cut a little less full in the top, the 32FF would probably feel more secure when I run. I think I currently get a bit less bounce in the 32F, even though it has a slightly lower neckline, exposing more breast tissue.

The band ... is quite firm, I did not size up from my usual size, but if you are between band sizes you might prefer to take the larger. After 2 years of frequent wear, my previous bra can still be comfortably worn on the first hook and be supportive for everyday activity, though I would want a tighter hook for actual workouts. Based on that, I would not advise anyone to take an uncomfortably tight band - it may well take YEARS for it to stretch.

The cups are padded enough and the seams are flat enough that this can be worn as a t-shirt bra, though the beautiful lunar print would likely show through all but the darkest of shirts. The padded wires are absurdly comfortable, enough so that even though the gore is too wide and high for my close set breasts, I still find this bra comfortable. The gore definitely does not tack except at the base, and that may be more of a soft tack influenced by the tight band. The larger size also did not seem to tack, though it is hard to really tell in both bras due to the construction. The fabric comes up significantly higher than the wires, so it is difficult to determine tack visually.

I get an amazing shape for a sports bra. I always work out in a shirt, but with or without one, my breasts look awesome. Lifted and separated, good apex projection. Not enough immediate depth. I suspect I am getting a bit of a push up effect from the bra being a little small, but I do not look smashed or like I am spilling out anywhere.

Caveats: I am full on bottom, somewhat soft-tissued, projected, slightly pendulous, close-set, inner fullness, need a lot of immediate projection. I have narrower roots. I am long-waisted and tall for a woman (5'8"). I have a smaller frame, am a bit deflated on top and have some looser skin. It is not super obvious, but likely affects fit slightly.

    • The band felt super tight at first. Hard to put on. Loosened up a little after a couple more try-ons. (If I kept it, I'd have used an extender.)
    • The cups are super tall. On my short torso they lay flat when standing, but gape when moving around. Doesn't control the bounce. Didn't cut in around my armpits as bad as I thought it would, but I also didn't test it in a workout.
    • The wires are very flexible, and a very narrow gauge. Can hardly feel them inside the channel. The channels have some padding around the wires, but minimal.
    • The straps are very comfortable. Don't cut into my shoulders at all.

    • For reference, when I measured the height of the gore, the wires went up 3.5" from the base of the band. But the top of the cup goes to 6" tall.

This bra is too big for me. I can’t quite fill the cups. I wanted to try this on because the previous 32E in the sports vest style I tried was a little small. Here is my review: http://bra.pe/X094/

However, after satisfying my curiosity and trying this size, I do believe the 32E size is the “best” I can get in this bra, even if it’s cutting into my roots.
