So, the much-anticipated arrival of my music pattern bra is here! This lovely bra is made by Kinga, a little known Polish manufacturer and can be found on misterna.pl. I had no idea what to expect, but since I am a pianist, I couldn't turn down a chance to try a bra with music on it. Where else are you going to find a music note bra?? Nowhere, that's where!!!
So, this is obviously very unique. Quality is good - the overall high level of attention to detail is really nice. This is truly gorgeous. It's a 3 part cup, with a ...seam pattern like Comexim's plunges and the top portion of the cup is stretch lace. It's absolutely not shallow at all - definitely allows for plenty of immediate projection. Yay!! I think it would work well with all shapes except maybe extreme FOT or FOBs.
Sizing: Kinga uses Euro sizing, and 65 bands are the smallest available. 65H should convert to UK 30FF, and I find it runs big. The wires are wider than I need at 5.75" and the cups are deep for what should be an FF, at 10.6. I think this bra is more of a UK 30G than 30FF. So the whole thing is a little big on me, and as a result I lose a bit of lift and shaping. Since the stretch lace is asking for more boob than I have, I wind up with somewhat of a pointy shape. The cups are not stiffly molded at all, so I think this is purely a result of the bra being too big. The band is TTS, so it's also too big. It stretches to 30" - and straight to the tightest hooks it went on me.
The band is what it is. They don't make 60s. I could tighten the band. I cannot, unfortunately, make the cups any smaller. Ideally, I need to size down, and if all Kinga bras run like this one I'd say if you want to try them, it might not hurt to figure out what your UK equivalent size would be and then size down one cup. I'd love to re-order this in a 65G, so this bra will be listed. All you music loving 30G's out there - someone buy it so I can order a smaller one! Read more 304 more words
I am way behind on bra reviews these days so I'll try to be succint. I covered the aesthetics of this bra in my previous review for the 65H - Kinga » Music Ii (BC-234) . Still gorgeous.
Band is a true 30 - too big for me. The cups fit better on this one, but still not quite there. It's really the top stretch lace section giving me troubles. I should have known, as I never get along with stretch lace. I have short roots and am functionally FOB and just cannot fill it out. The stretch lace is empty ...and lays flat/angled back from the padded part of the cup and still gives me somewhat of a pointy shape.
I'm confused by Kinga's sizing, which appears to be EU with EU bands and no double cup letters. But it runs SO BIG. Like, this 65G should translate into a UK 30F, correct? But this could easily fit a projected UK 30FF/G who is FOT and/or has taller roots than I.
Cups are narrower on this one, at 5.5" and 9.8" deep. This bra allows for plenty of immediate projection (yay for Polish bras) and the wires are flexible and not hard or painful. I've ordered the original Music I style, which is all padded and appears to have a different seam pattern. I'm hoping that one works better for me. I don't think I can go down in cup volume - maybe I could have on this one - but this bra is sadly not the right shape for me, the stretch lace is killing it. I'm hoping the padded version still allows for projection and is still relatively narrow, because this bra melts my heart and as a pianist I must have it in my life.
I'll be listing this one so if this bra screams for your size & shape of boobs - get it while you can! Read more 225 more words
Eee, it fits! Hooray! The band is a little stretchy and I have it hooked on the middle hook already, but no other complaints. The lace section is comfortable -- it's mesh lined, and the whole thing is very supportive and comfortable. And it's beautiful. It gives my breasts a shape I rather like - a sort-of forward-pointed oval.
I took a chance on this one and am absolutely gutted that it doesn't fit. It does indeed run large in the cups, with a deeper apex than I'm used to seeing on plunges, and the gapping at the lace is just too much for me to want to keep it. It wrinkles where it connects to the padded cup and is definitely visible under shirts when it gaps. The cups are also a bit too tall for my shape, and the wires a tad too wide. Seems to be more like a UK 32F, perhaps more suited to a FOT shape. Projection is still good, though.
Success! This one fits much, much better than the 70F I tried, though the band is very stretchy for a 65 - I had to move it to the next set of hooks after a few hours, and honestly it's even better on the tightest hooks. I may just shorten the band by a tad, because the rest is as perfect a fit as I think I'll get in this bra. The wires are so wonderfully narrow - only 5"/12.7cm! They don't hurt at all, so I guess that confirms it for me; I need the narrowest wires out there. This is the one of the only bras ...that hasn't poked me in the underarm so far, so the height of the wires is good, too. The straps are a bit wide, but nothing too uncomfortable.
The lace section still isn't quite a perfect fit, but I think it's just asking for more FOT-ness than I have, and it doesn't show under most of my clothes, so I'm happy enough with it. I can fill the apex this time, at least.
Projection seems good; it didn't ride down with a day's wear. The shape is a more naturally pointy look, good for everyday wear IMO.
The music pattern is just the best. I could do without the bows on the straps, but the dangly ornament on the gore doesn't bother me. It has a ringed sparkly bead wrapped around a black teardrop, with a bow tying it all together. Nice and understated, though, and it doesn't touch my skin, so I'm fine with it. An absolutely beautiful bra. I bought it 2 sister sizes up because that was the closest size they had on zulily. Well, it runs ridiculously big in the cups! It's about 2 cup sizes too big for me, and the stretch lace is really designed for someone more full on top. I'm so disappointed that it didn't work out for me, I'm a musician and would have loved nothing more than to wear music notes all over my boobs. Oh well.
