This fits a lot like Hotmilk's Wild Composure of years past. The material is very similar as well, a much more stretchy material than a more cotton based bra like the Chic. The fit is respectable- it fits my small, wide-set, heavy on the bottom chest all the way around except on the top there is minor wrinkling. Nothing too noticeable. The Chic does not have the wrinkling problem at the top and because it is not as stretchy, it seems to last longer too. Fit is great out of the package, but quickly it stretches out to the last hooks and you don't feel as great of a support. Then again Hotmilk always provides so many extra hooks, it might not be too big of a deal. Overall, I would recommend this style as my second favorite style carried by Hotmilk. In other words if you can't find your size available in the Chic, this style will do.
I wore this early on in my pregnancy from 11 weeks. Even though I didn't need a larger bra band or cup size I had terrible nausea and sore boobs and sizing up and wearing this bra helped keep me comfortable. I read that nursing bras are more accomodating during prenancy as your band and cup size increase. The bra is pretty for a nursing bra, has 6 sets of hooks and gives a pretty good shape (my sister has a baby and said it gives a good shape for a nursing bra). I would buy this bra again.
It's pretty I suppose, but fits kind of like a fancy compression bra. Without underwires the cups end up too shallow. I shortened the straps because they weren't fully adjustable, and after I did the ring part of the straps end up right on top of my shoulder and it's really uncomfortable. It's a lot of bra and comes up quite high on my chest and under my arms. There's a seam or something right under one of the cups that digs in for me. There's stretchy lace on top which is nice.
I would recommend just getting a normal bra altered into a nursing bra instead of spending a lot of money on this if you're in a larger size range with small ribcage.
It's too wide for me and there's fabric in the cup that doesn't tack to my boobs. I don't know if it's too big - maybe, but I'd also guess the shape isn't compatible with me. Should be good for wider roots.
I bought this bra a few weeks before my baby was born when I was measuring at 32F/FF. I wish I would have gotten 30GG - my underbust has started to shrink back down, so I have to wear this bra on the second to tightest set of hooks (out of six), I think the band has stretched a bit, so I'm hoping it doesn't stretch too much more. The depth is perfect in 32G, but technically the "wires" are much too wide, not that it matters since there aren't actually any wires to cause pain.
The bra was uncomfortable and scratchy at ...first, but after being washed a few times, it got a lot softer.
As for how it looks, it's very pretty with the little bow and rhinestones in the center. I usually don't buy things with accents like that since they always fall out, but I've been wearing this for almost two months now, and they're all still in. If you don't already handwash your bras, you'll probably want to start with this one if you don't want the accents to fall out.
It's not the best t-shirt bra, though - the cups are pretty tall, so I get black lace showing in some of my shirts, and the seams are pretty visible under thin fabric. Read more 116 more words
I won this from the Bras and Body Image two year giveaway, though it didn't come with underpants like the giveaway said. I've contacted Hotmilk about this, but still haven't heard back. Hrm. I was excited for those underpants, too, since I have another pair of Hotmilk panties which fit like a dream. Who would have guessed that maternity panties work exceedingly well for fat people? I've always been annoyed by the way most underpants sit at my tummy. Anyway, on to the bra! It's pretty, and wireless, and the drop cups are even more of a hit with Mr. BF than I thought they would be. The ...band is a pretty good fit, but as I anticipated, I feel like the cups are a bit small. My boobs sit in the middle where wires would usually be, and they look like they almost want to jump out. Honestly, since they look nice and cleavagey like that, and the bra is pretty, I just might display the top of the bra occasionally.
Edit 1: I cut off the bow because it looked oddly lumpy under tops.
Edit 2: After not hearing back via email, I contacted them on Facebook and learned that they had attempted to email me back, but that system was having some issues. The panties are delightful indeed! They also sent me some lip balm to make up for their little oops. Sadly, I couldn't use it because one of the ingredients was almond oil (curse my allergies!) so I gave it to a friend.
