This was my second attempt at finding a padded half cup that fits from Gorsenia via Othereden.co.uk. My first was 65E - Gorsenia » Margo Padded Balconette (K280) which was a little bit too small in the cup. Patti fits much better, and it's fun to finally have a really vibrant color in my bradrobe again. Just look at that coral! This model comes with cookie pockets, unlike Margo. It's the ideal cut for me - ample room at the wire, tapers enough on top that I don't spill out, but doesn't cut into my roots at all. My only quibble is that the back closure materials can be a little scratchy on my sensitive skin for the first few wears. Full review on my blog!

    Didn't fit

I've been curious about Gorsenia for some time but reluctant to order since they're completely unknown to me and I'm really happy with my Ewa bras.
However, with the rise in prices and the lack of new releases, I thought it a good time to branch out and finally give Gorsenia a try.

Overall, I really like this bra but it' not going to be an Ewa replacement for me.

    What I like:

    * How narrow the wires are. They're nearly .5" smaller in tip to tip measurements than my BMs and I love it! They are perfect and don't sit on my ribs on the side at all. These narrow wires ... are coupled with some excellent wire projection.

    * How soft the wires are. Ewa uses very firm wires, which is understandable for her cup construction, but sometimes they're too firm. Comexim uses super soft wires on the other end of that range. These fall in between. Not too firm, not too soft, just right.

    * Nice rounded shape that is slightly minimized from the front.

    * The band is true to size. It's a 65 that stretches to just slightly over 30".

    * The materials are thick and supportive.

    * Fully adjustable straps.

    * They're really inexpensive.

    What I don't like:

    * The gore is way too high for me and it presses into my sternum painfully.

    * The gore is wider than my Ewa bras and coupled with the height it's really uncomfortable for me.

    * The materials are noticeably inferior compared to what Ewa uses. They're not *bad* really, but they don't feel as luxe and high end as Ewa's jersey and lace.

    * The band does not have even tension, it's snugger at the top and the bottom where the elastic is but not through the band itself. This is something I very much associate with cheap construction.

Something else I don't like that isn't related to the bra itself is the bottoms. I really strongly dislike the bottoms that go with this bra. They fit, but they are far too full coverage for me and the elastic used between the lace and jersey along the back is too tight and it digs into my cheeks creating a really unlovely quad butt effect. The trouble with that is I can't just size up to combat that because then they will be far too loose on my hips. I prefer Ewa's bottoms as they lack that leg elastic the majority of the time and I can fit my hips properly since they won't dig into my cheeks.
I'm a set buyer, and what I think of the bottoms will often determine if I buy a bra or not. Unfortunately, Gorsenia's sort of suck for me.

I did buy a few more of the Gorsenia bras in colors I liked in a similar cut to the Paloma. It fit well enough to where if I like a colorway I'm okay spending $50 or so on a set, as that's less than just the bra from Ewa, but I'm not going to be switching my brand loyalty any time soon.

One of the best bras I have tried on my search to find a bra that fits. I discovered that half cup styles seem to work well overall, but struggled to find an ideal fit. Freya half cup style cups and gores were too wide. Comexin half cups did not offer enough projection in my size. Many non-padded styles were either too projected or too shallow. After trying many bras, I decided I needed something to accommodate immediate projection with average overall projection, tall roots with shallowness on top, center fullness, and average to slightly narrow roots. Enter the Patti, which offers adequate projection, good match of wire shape to my root shape, and a narrow enough gore. The 30 band is a tad snug on me (underbust = 30), but the 32 was too loose.

    • Gorsenia halfcups fit me better than others, too. The center projection and narrower gore are critical fit characteristics for me. Thrilled you found a Gorsenia for you :-)

After months of feeling very unhappy in most of my bras and not finding anything new that fit comfortably, I'm focusing more on Gorsenia again, since the Solange is probably my best fitting and most comfortable bra. This is a new model, the Yasminne, and I love it already. All the pics online showed it as a sort of pinky-beige, but it's not very pink in person. It's actually almost identical to the fabric used in Ewa Michalak's BM Bibi Beżowa Perła, quite possibly the same material IMO. This pleases me, because the color is a great nude for me.

Fit-wise, I'm pretty happy. The band on my Solange ... stretched out rather quickly, so this time I sized down to a 65. It's very snug right now, so I'll be using an extender until I break it in. There's tons of immediate projection, the straps are a good width, and the low gore helps it not dig into tissue. I just wish their bands had a longer life before they stretch out, but in fairness I have worn that bra a LOT.

When I move just right, there's almost a bit of quadding near the gore on my larger breast, but I'm not sure going up another size would work or not. Gorsenia's size chart is strange compared with other Polish models I've tried, as going one band size down doesn't always mean going up one cup size would get you the same cup volume - the 70E cup is listed as 90-92cm bust measurement, but the 65F is only 87-89. I'm tempted to try a 65G next time, as that would be closer with 89-91, but with my short roots I'm afraid I wouldn't fill the lace part or would lose the wonderful narrowness of the wires.

Speaking of lace, it has what seems to be typical Gorsenia embroidery, mostly in the same color as the bra but also with grey accents. It's not really my preferred aesthetic, but with the comfortable fit I can't complain too much. I'll probably be removing the bows on the straps, though, along with the side boning, as it pokes under my arms as it is.

This may be my go-to brand for a while, just to have bras that don't ride down or dig in at the gore. It just takes picking the models carefully and staying away from the full cups with the taller gores.

This bra looks great on you! I might have to give Gorsenia another try. Thanks for the review!

    • 1

Beautiful! Like you the gore is too wide for me, also. But, the immediate projection is awesome. :-)

    • Thank you both! I wish I could find that perfect combo of narrow gore plus projection, but alas. My Comexim gores are the best, but the projection has been crappy lately. I need to start altering them or something.

I have very narrow roots that Comexim and EM are too wide for. So, I decided I wanted to try Gorsenia. Bought this from a lovely seller on Bratabase.

I really wanted this to work, but the straps are just waaaaaay too wide set for me. Pulled up straight, they sit at the very edges of my shoulders. The cups are also very tall, though I don’t think that would have been a problem if the straps weren’t so wide. But, with the tall cups and wide-set straps, the tops of the cups end up collapsing when I move. Disappointing.

I did like the narrow cups that are very U shaped. I don’t do well with wires that swoop back in my armpits, and this doesn’t.

I have tall and narrow roots, as well as moderate immediate projection. It is my best fitting bra and looks lovely to boot, I'd prefer minor padding for support, but that is just a personal preference, it fits like a dream as is.

ETA. THIS BRA IS HEAVILY ALTERED, CUPS AND ALL!

I bought this bra because it was so pretty, I love the colours and the lace.

My usual UK size is 28F/28FF. This bra kind of fits but the fit is not the best for me. Cups seem to be about the right size but I do get some minor vertical wrinkles. Wires are a bit odd, when I put the bra on it is very easy to adjust the wires so that they are too wide for me (my shape is quite wide and shallow). But if I adjust the wires to a more narrow position, they seem to stay ... in that shape pretty well.

Straps adjust all the way but they are more wide set than I´m used to. They don´t however seem to rub or hurt, but it just feels a bit odd. The band length is quite good, fits like 28 IMO.

Edit. I had to move straps more to the center, they didn´t hurt me but I could "feel" them all the time and they kept felling off my shoulders. When moving strap placement, cups also got a bit smaller.
The fabrics in this bra are not the highest quality, cups feel itchy/scratchy to me.

Lovely bra but cup size is just too big. I am used to ordering Comexim and Ewa Michalak so I ordered both the 65E and 65F to be sure the Gorsenia fit. However neither fit due to cup sizes being larger than the aforementioned brands. But nice bra, narrow cups and lace accents on strap are a notch above average. Will fit the right person and those seeking more narrow cups. This is so nice to see verses the normal USA available bras we are used to purchasing for most of our lives.

Technical data review only. Purchased only to frankenbra together with 70E Orchid that's woefully incapable of working even as a sleep bra. Will not be trying this on

    A mystery:

While both Orchids are technically ... sister size to one another this 65F Orchid looks much more like a projected plunge with immediately dept at wire and evenly full projection to apex, wire is a full inch narrower than the sister size up from it! There is a lovely worthless jabby bit of plastic boning sewn into the seam between wing and band which I don't recall having in the original Black Orchid (cannot see any slits in seam channel from removing one, anyway)

Meanwhile 70E Orchid has a wider wire, taller gore, lower wing, and more of a 'pushup' cup shape, rather appeared to be made for wider, upper-inner full shapes in mind.

Both Black orchids have the same narrow full band with center scoop along bottom of gore, narrow but medium heavier weight shoulder strap elastics, disappointingly short/narrow band with chronically understaffed hook & eye in back Materials are sleek, smooth, well matched to fit for the size indicated. Construction is impeccable with no unfinished raw edges or loose threads.

This is the best fitting bra I've found so far. Probably because it's so narrow and projected. The gore actually tacks most of the time. It might be just a smidge too wide for me in the gore pushing it away sometimes. It's a 30 band and I'm a 28 but this band is nice and firm so no issues there. Since it's sheer you can see the outer edges of the cups are a little empty but I wonder if that's because of how firm the band is, it's pulling them wider. The gore is pretty low so for me that makes it more comfortable.

I tried 9 different Gorsenia Bras in this order from Brastop and this was the only one that fit. I wish they were all cut like this!

This is a beautiful bra in a gorgeous light pink color which works well for my skin as a "nude". However, the lace/embroidery on the cups is very raised so it shows a lot underneath clothes, and it's very noticeable underneath sheer tops. It fits almost perfectly on my bottom full, projected breasts. I get a tiny bit of wrinkling at the top of the cup on my smaller side but it's not an issue for me. The wires are very narrow and have a very pronounced U shape. I think I'd get a perfect fit if the wires were slightly flatter at the bottom, as I get ... a bit of empty fabric right at the bottom of the cup. It's not a lot so it doesn't bother me though. The straps are in a good position for me, not too wide set (compared to the Curvy Kate Ellace which rubs against my armpits quite a bit). It gives a very nice rounded shape.
A note on sizes: Brastop sold this bra as a 30E (they recommend to buy a smaller cup size than usual because they run deep), however, the tag on the bra says this is a 30F/65F. If you're buying from somewhere else it may be worth to ask the sizes on the tag to make sure.

SO sad this bra didn't have enough immediate projection for me. I was hoping for a different outcome, even though one of my boob-twin's warned me about the newer Gorsenia models not having enough immediate projection https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />(((

The bra is beautiful and looked like it fit me at first. Alas, upon further inspection, my boob folded over my IMF and was touching my chest within the cup, pushing the cup down to fit the shape of my breasts.

Unfortunately, all the other bras I ordered also didn't fit due to immediate projection problems.

About me: close set and center full, full on bottom with tall, gradually sloping roots, so functionally even in some ways, narrow and projected.

This bra is BEAUTIFUL! However, I think the cups were too small for me and, combined with the stretchy band, it didn't provide adequate support. At some point, I'd love to try this in 65G.
