Oh man, this is so close to being my Goldilocks bra that I could cry. I ordered this Gorsenia thinking it would be worth a try, even though most spacer bras don't have enough immediate projection for me. When it arrived I got super excited, because what I didn't realize about this spacer foam is that it's transparent! It's so thin it functions almost just like an unpadded bra would and works perfectly for me with my rather pendulous shape.
Also good is the low gore (it could be a tad narrower for me, but it's low enough that it's comfy) and the color (their "beige" is pale enough ...to be a good nude for my super pale skin). The wires are nice and not too firm, almost narrow enough for me like most other Gorsenia models I've tried. I had meant to order a larger cup size, but Other Eden decided this converted to a 32F - I think it's more of an E, really, but the cups are stretchy enough that the depth works for me.
It would be amazingly comfortable if not for two things - the wings and the band. The way the straps connect to the foam makes the wings a bit higher than I'd like (I think it would work better for someone with a longer torso), and the seams there where they attach are a bit scratchy in my armpits. The band also has a scratchy feel to it, especially near the hooks and the lace part in the front between the cups. Any of the seams where elastic attaches, basically. It's comfortable for a little while, then I became super aware of everything and kept having to adjust things where they were scratching me. The band was also tight for a 32 (an extender will help for now, but throws off the strap placement for me). It just didn't feel like other Gorsenia bands to me, much lower quality material in the band than I'm used to with their more satiny bras.
I'm really hoping this will get more comfortable with wear, because I love everything else about the bra. It looks great under shirts and is really breathable in the heat. I'm tempted to try the 75E and see how that would work, but worry it might go even further into my armpits and be too wide. Just sooooooo close, grr. Read more 290 more words
About me: center full and close set, full on bottom with tall sloping roots that make me functionally even in some respects, narrow and projected
About the bra: seemless sheer-ish foam cups that are wonderfully narrow and deep (I'll have to compare measurements, but I think it's comparable to Simena); band is tighter and less itchy than some gorsenias I've tried, but it doesn't have uniform stretch? Tension? The elastic is tighter than the band.
I am so torn about this bra. It has so much that works more me that few other bras do: * the cup separation isn't too splayed, so I have enough room at the center ...and the wires don't sit on any tissue; * the cups are beautifully narrow U shapes that don't come up too high for me; * the fabric disappears on me, making it an option for t shirts (which I currently lack).
And now the cons: * The cup height/strap placement combo cuts in above my arm pits; * The fabric is texturally awful for me personally - if you have sensory issues with things with ridges, this may be a problem for you; * The bottom elastic on the band is tighter than the band overall, making it cut in.
Who would this work for? Someone like me (see above) who is taller or has more padding or a better tolerance for stuff rubbing above the arm pits and who wouldn't mind an extender until the bottom elastic on the band chills out a bit.
I'm contemplating modifying this somehow because the cups are so perfect and that's so rare for me to find, but even if I did have the skill level (I don't), I'm pretty sure I can't handle working with that fabric for any length of time. Read more 185 more words
Very transparent bra! The band and cups feel true to size. The wires are quite narrow and rather soft ( comparing to Cleo's). Cup's fabric is stretchy , I've measured 25cm cup depth, but if I stretched the cup over my knee it could be up to 27-28 cm. The construction of the cup in its upper side part is strange and uncomfortable, but maybe that's because of the size ( the bra was big). I felt the seams ( straps and eyes and hooks connection ) a little scratchy. But this was unworn/new bra, so hope after washing everything gets better.
About me: close set, center full, dense, full on bottom with tall, sloping roots, so functionally even in some ways, narrow and projected.
Cups fit really well, but the band is too loose (fits on tightest hook), so I've ordered a 65G. The spacer foam (I think that's what it's called) is beautiful! It's a pale pinkish color and isn't completely opaque, so I think this would be a comfortable option for hot days. I'm hoping the new size fits and that it will be a good t-shirt bra.
Very comfortable everyday bra. It gives natural shape and fits true to size. The cups are stretchy and very forgiving to size and shapes changes. It is semi transparent, so it doesn't hide nipples under light and thin clothes
