I think I've kind of fallen in love with Freya's longline bras. First of all, the wide 6-row, 2-column band on the longline is SUPER comfortable and supportive for my heavy, pendulous, slightly-full-on-top breasts. Second, it gives a beautiful rounded and uplifted profile for me, which is what I prefer more than the pointed, super-forward projection in some other bras. This particular longline is my favorite so far because the coral with white polka dots is beautiful and coral is one of the colors that looks great on me. When I am wearing this bra and the matching underwear, I feel like I'm having a great ...bra/boob day!
Generally, I wear a 34G in most Freya bras, but I have found the sizing in the Patsy line of padded half-cups and longlines to be hit or miss. This 36FF fits pretty well, which surprised me. I only ordered it because it was on clearance and they didn't have my normal sizes in this Patsy longline. I thought it MIGHT be too shallow, but it wasn't.
I can wear a 34G regular padded half-cup in the Patsy padded half-cup black colorway but needed a 34GG and/or 36G in the turquoise colorway. If you're going to consider the Patsy, order your "normal" Freya size plus one cup size bigger than normal to see what fits you best. I find the band to be particularly stretchy with this bra, so a smaller band might work better for some of you. I'm solidly between a 34 and 36, so either band works pretty well for me with sister sizes in the cups. Read more 160 more words
This bra fits very well. The straps fall down a bit but this is normal for me. I get orange in a glass effect space at the bottom of the cup because it isn't deep enough. The band is stretchy but I sister sized down from 38F so it fits my 38in ribcage perfectly. Not as good cleavage as my too small in the cup 36F has but I am definitely getting more then in a plain bra.
The band is (or feels) firmer than that of the non-longline Freyas I've tried. The support from the wide band is wonderful and the cups give a pleasing rounded shape. However, the cut is not really right for me — it wants more upper fullness and less bottom fullness and immediate projection.
This has been one of my most comfortable bras during my life as a nursing mother. It's made of a nice lightweight fabric that is comfortable for summer but still provides good support for my breasts. It can be slightly too small in the cup when I am engorged - there is not much stretch in the cup. Also the part under the drop-down cup that holds the cup to the upper strap seems a bit flimsy but it has help up over almost 2 years of use. It's also a fairly cute look, as far as utilitarian nursing bras go, with polka dots and lace.
First, the pluses: - The colours on this bra are lovely! - The straps are covered in a soft fabric, very nice. - The band feels firm - It seems comfortable, as first impression. It does not poke, the fabric does not feel itchy. The minuses: - Well, the fabric is just not at all stretchy. Which is possibly a good thing, as it's not doubled on the inside, and it is supportive. But at the same time, it doesn't allow for any fit imperfections.
Love this bra! I'm a newbie to my "right" size bra, but so far Freya's padded half cups have been my favorite transition bras.
Pros - Okay this pattern is freaking adorable! Fits very similarly to all the other Freya half cups that I have so far. It may be because this bra is brand new but the fabric seems very sturdy/more durable than some of the others that I have. One of my breasts is larger than the other, but there is no gapping or quadboob, which is awesome!
Cons - Umm, literally none so far. I haven't worn this bra for a long period of time yet, so I'll update my review if something changes. I do want to say that the side underwires on this half-cup seem as though they don't go up as high as my other Freya half-cups (but this could just by my own perception). I do have some tissue escaping on the side BUT it's nothing that bugs me, and I really prefer this cut/feel.
Pros: Great bra, very comfy, band fits similar to other Freyas.
Cons: I have some quad-boobing but also a slight wrinkle on my larger breast. This may just be due to the fabric on the cup, because I also have this bra in a 36G and I noticed wrinkling on this one too. Bra digs in a teeny bit on my underarm pudge but I like the way the bra makes my boobs look enough to keep it.
Okay, this is pretty much my favorite bra. It's the first bra I bought in my *correct* size and it's really the best one I've found so far.
Pros: COMFY. This is what I'm all about when I'm looking for a good bra. Comfy with good support. Nothing itchy, scratchy, or pokey.
Cons: A lot of other reviewers say that this bra does a good job at pushing their boobs up and forward, but I have not found this to be the case. Not that it does a bad job, it just seems to be average in this department. This may be due to the fact that I have wider set breasts.
Overall, love this bra. Very comfy. Good fit and good quality. My favorite Freya so far.
I tried the 38f first and it was all wrong - stretchy and gaping, but the 36ff works! Good cleavage - a small amount of gaping at the top corner on my smaller side and I need to make sure I'm all swooped and scooped or it doesn't work. Very comfortable - I have it in cobalt blue and also the pinstripe fuschia.
Less uplifting than my other Freya bras. The band rides up a bit but also sometimes feels to firm and digs in, I feel the more elastic band would be more comfortable.
I loved the color of this bra from the moment that I saw it online. And when I got my first Patsy, in the black polka dots, I figured I really wanted a second in the peacock color but couldn't find one. My husband was awesome enough to track one down for me in the right size, but that's where the happiness ends.
I really wanted to love this bra. The cups fit just as well as the black version, but the band on this feels like it stretches A LOT. The first time I wore this I was able to put the clasps on the tightest setting - ...and it still felt like there was room in the band. The measurement numbers don't look any different from some of the other Freya bras I have, but maybe it's the fabric, it just feel like it stretches and then keep going.
If this wasn't a discontinued model I would love to try a 34 band - but we've already looked and it's a no go https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Read more 72 more words
I don't think I ever realize how much I missed having a 'cute' bra until I tried the Marina on. Seriously, the last time I was able to fit into one of those cute bras from the department stores was 6 grade...
I absolutely LOVE the dark floral (?) pattern of this bra and the satinny purple piping along the seams only make it better! My husband is the artist, so I'll take his word when he talks about the lighter accents drawing your eye around the lines of the bra (blah, blah blah) but I kind of understands what he means in this case. My Freya Deco ...is a single color all over and when I look in the mirror it's like, BLAM, there's two big splotches of teal staring back at me. With the Marina, it really does give you something else to focus on visually other than the breasts themselves.
Like my Freya Patsy bras, (which are half-cups as well) the fit on the Marina is pretty spot on. I'm tempted to try a 36F to just compare how I fill that out. I think I fill the cups of the FF pretty well (and possibly will fill better with time) but there is a smidgen of gaping at the top when I move my shoulders. Wires are well covered and do not poke.
Strangely, I think the fabric of this band is A LOT stretchier than the 38E Patsy I bought last month. Laid side by side, the 36 is obviously smaller than the 38, but it stretches nearly as far. It holds ok now, but stretches easily when I pull on it. I'm hesitant to go down to a 34 band, but I also can't try it with this model as it was clearance and the shop didn't have it in the smaller band. May have to look into shortening it myself to get the best fit.
The straps are wider than some of the other Freya models I have which can be a good thing. The construction of the back of the bra holds everything in place very nicely. Read more 244 more words
I only bought this bra because i wanted to spend enough to get free shipping with another bra i purchased, and to my surprise i like this bra better than the one i wanted to get in the first place. super comfortable material, but the underwires wouldnt lay flat, and the gore sits too high.
I bought this bra based on the rave reviews, and I love the print! I was so disappointed when it didn't work for me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> the bottom of the cup's wires seems to want to run away from my rib cage, and the gore is too high for me, stabbing into my sternum. Its a gorgeous bra but uncomfortable and didn't provide enough lift for me.
