Cups are generously deep, narrow, and very open on top. This seems to run at least a cup size too large since 30G is on the small side for me in a number of bras, but I'm getting wrinkling in the bottom *and* tiny bit of gapping along the top (which is the rarest for me). I like that it has a bit of room to grow since I do seem to grow quite often. The problem is that the gore is too tall and digs in to my breastbone. I used to have the Rio in 30F ages ago (red colorway) and the gore wasn't nearly as high on that size. I definitely need to bend it out in order to wear it comfortably. I think the gore, or the way I bent it, is also making it harder to keep the wire in the IMF.
Me: Narrow roots, narrow shoulders, evenly round, lots of immediate projection, slightly FoB, splayed, left-heavey by more than a cup size, 31" underbust, but prefer tight band with extender. Panache, Freya size 30GG
Yet again, Freya doesn't do it for me. Nicely U shapped underwires a little to wide but more importantly, neither high enough or low enough and just leaves a half and half side bulge. Also, not a lot of immediate projection. I was told this model was the best for that, but it really isn't. Lots of wrinlling at the bottom of the cup and lots of empty upper fullness space at the top pf the cup. Cup not too big, promise. Just the wrong shape.
Straps are closer set than Freya Faye etc.. Nice U back and fully adjustable straps. Only two hooks,
Nice mesh lower cup lining, but outer and upper cup are fairly stiff fabric - maybe it will soften in the wash?
As the other reviewer for my size (36H) noted, if you have soft, pendulous tissue, this bra will not provide a lot of uplift. The bra is comfortable and gives a natural shape rather than an uplifted, rounded shape, but that's okay. The mesh fabric feels nice and supportive, secure enough that I don't bounce around. I like the metal details--they add some allure to the bra, in addition to the mesh design. They can poke into your skin just a bit if you move a certain way (wore this bra while packing and moving), but I didn't find it painful at all. One of my go-to-every day bras.
I'm still trying to find my perfect fit bra. So far this comes the closest. band feels very tight , but it seems that it has to be this tight to keep from riding up. I see in the pictures that I am escaping at the side.
This is a polarizing bra - the waffle-y fabric is a texture that really puts some people off. And the shape, while very front and centre, is more on the natural end of the equation (than round). It's not a feminine bra but it is one that reminds me of the supermodels in the 80s. It gives great support. The straps are slightly wider set than I'd prefer but it's not deal-breaker. I really love the fit though I don't think it's my sexiest bra. (Note: I do find it to be an attractive bra even though I don't think it's sexy). Works really well under clothing. The weave fabric is not detectable and I don't find that the seams show through.
