    28H

    Didn't fit

This review is for a black Freya Jolie in 28H - I also own a white Freya Jolie in 28GG. I ordered the black Jolie a cup size up from the other one, because dark/black bras tend to run a little bit smaller than white ones. I have since gone up in cup size, so the white does not fit perfectly anymore.

My first thought is "welcome to the shitty end of pattern grading". Even in the wrong size, the 28GG is a better overall fit than the the 28H - for unknown reasons, in the jump from GG-H, the cups become an inch wider, scamper up ... into my armpit, go from medium coverage to being exposed under EVERY top and develop a weird side-splayed shape.

The floral mesh is not the most attractive choice of fabric, but it is ever so soft and breathable. The cups run up a little bit high, the straps are gigantic and ugly, and there's out of place looking tiny flower details. This bra won't be winning any beauty contests but it is among the most comfortable bras I have ever owned.

  2. I got the white Freya Jolie second-hand, with the intention of maybe dyeing it a different colour. It fits perfectly, and doesn't poke anywhere. I also appreciate the wider band in the GG+ sizes - better at distributing load (and helps offset the fact that the band itself runs so huge).

The shape is also good - nice and uplifted but still natural-looking. Many people complain that Freya bras give a "pointy" look, but I have found that under clothing, the natural teardrop shape looks better than the perfectly round orbs I get from other brands or from moulded bras, and doesn't draw as ... much attention to my boobs.

The floral mesh is not pretty but is ever so soft and breathable. The straps are wide and comfortable, but a little too wide and too utilitarian to be attractive. The full coverage cups come up to high to be worn under anything remotely low cut, and for reasons unknown, the bra is decorated with out-of-place teeny tiny ribbon roses. This bra will not be winning any beauty contests, but it is oh so very comfortable for lounging about on weekends.

    30H

    Hasn't set fit

well i bought this bra because it was only nine pounds although i didnt really like the look of it. it is, i would say, probably one cup size too big although i normally wear a 30H in freya or a 30HH/ 32H in cleo. it makes my boobs look like ive got "overspill inside my bra" if that makes sense, probably because my boobs are too soft? im still keeping it to wear it at home though.

    Update: 04.02.2013
i dont think ill be keeping it any longer, i wore it at home for about an hour and it made my boobs look ridiculous.

    11.04.2013
my boobs have grown, im not a 30H in freya anymore but more like a 30HH, maybe even a 30J (im figuring this out atm) and well, this bra now fits and my boobs look quite nice and round when i tighten the straps a lot and its really comfy. i am actually starting to like this bra.

  4. This is my fave bra from Freya. It gives a pointier shape than Pollyanna, but the cup runs large & it is the only bra that can accommodate PMS swelling with total comfort. (I go up around 1/2 cup size for 4 days each month so that's a welcome feature). I do get the 'Freya fold' that little diagonal loose area on the top of the cup, even tho I'm a full on top shape, but it's not noticeable.

The fabric is very comfy, & is the only GG+ style that Freya hasn't ruined for me with that laminated fabric I find so obnoxious. It does have vertical stays which I remove with a seam-ripper. After that, very, very comfy.

Sadly, it's been discontinued in all but white & black. I buy the white, then dye it with food coloring, which works nicely. Here's a pix of the one I dyed bubble gum pink. The other is a Curvy Kate Princess dyed pale blue.

Very comfortable stretch lace, pretty design. Band and cup run LARGE. Shape is very projected and a touch pointy. Has three hooks in the back, which is fabulous for comfort and rare for Freya.

  7. Wow! I can see why so many people love this bra! I wear a 38 band in most brands, but upon recommendations I got a 36. It fits perfectly. I'd normally wear a 38H, so the sister size would be 36HH. But, this was on clearance, so I had to try the 36H. It's pretty much a great fit. I get the tiniest bit of cutting in when I really, really try to expand my ribcage, but normally the cups fit fine.

I can't believe how comfortable this bra. Even before I put it on it felt so smooth and soft. It feels the same on. I get ... the tiniest bit of scratchiness on the straps, but I bet that will go away over time.

Since the cup is made of one layer of mesh covered by a layer of lace, the mesh fits fine but there is a little wrinkling in the lace. It doesn't affect the fit, only the appearance. But the lace is so soft that I doubt it would show under clothes.

The only bad part is that the center gore doesn't sit 100% flat on my sternum. The top pulls away a little. Since the fit is so great everywhere else, I can live with it. I have never found a Freya bra that lies completely flat, but this is definitely the best, and it's really such a minor issue.

    28GG

    Didn't fit

I previously had this bra in a 28G and it lasted ages, I loved it.
The 28GG is a tad tight in the band, but I have put on a fair amount of weight, and I'm in the process of losing it, as the pounds shift it's starting to feel better.

The jolie is a great day to day bra, slight plunge but still a good overall shape, nice and lifted plus the purple is pretty.

Can't say much because the fit was way off. As people have pointed out, the band is unusually loose and the cups are big.

    32H

    Didn't fit

Recently discovered that 30" band size existed. I thought 32" was the smallest band size made. I now find I am a 30H, 30HH sometimes a 30I/J (depending on the brand & style). I own mostly 32s.

The band is a little too large for me. The 30" band gives me much better support.

The cup seems to run bigger than some of the other Freya bras.

It is pretty comfortable. It stretched out in 2 months worn 2x a week - but my boobs are stretch everything out. I usally get 3 months with this kind of wear.
