I am on the fence about this bra. On the one hand, I love the design, and, at 29" fully stretched, the band is quite snug compared to other Freya 28's I've bought recently. I can happily wear it on the largest hook. Overall, the bra is very comfy.
On the other hand, the shape it gives is appalling. (Let's just say that it's not appalling if you want to look like a Mad Men housewife....) I've noticed this problem crop up increasingly often with Freya's plunge balcony bras, which used to be my go-to shape. I still wear my three-year-old Freya Martha Plunge Balcony Bra ...(1301), for example, which gives a lovely rounded yet natural shape, and is supposedly the same cut. My two-year-old Freya Patsy Plunge Balcony Bra (1221) is still nice but a little pointier. And now, in 2015, the pointy plunge balcony bra has reached full fruition in the Fan-tastic, with its sharp, unforgiving point.
I am not ready to give up on this cut yet. I truly adore the Martha! But something has definitely gone awry. Read more 79 more words
This a pretty bra with a nice design (though I'd probably prefer a slightly different color scheme). It doesn't quite fit me (the cups wrinkle along the top a little), but was still pretty comfortable. Probably my biggest complaint with this bra is the very strong projection/cone look of the cup shape. I need some projection and don't mind some cone shape, but this is more than I can handle. I didn't try it on with a t-shirt, but it would probably be less noticeable under something.
I sized down in the band after trying on the Pasty half cups thinking it would be similarly large in this style, but it wasn't. I was able to clasp it on the loosest hooks, but the bra was definitely too tight for me in this size. The cups were too big overall for my breasts, as well as being a bit too projected. I was able to fill the bottom of the cups reasonably well despite a few wrinkles, but while the lace along the top edge lay flat against my breasts (I even got a tiny bit of quad boob with a deep inhale), there was a lot of empty space in between.
