    Didn't fit

The ewa michalak calculator said I was a 70DD/32DD, but I buy this bra from a bratabase listing, so I have the measurements of the 70D/32D, and I thought I can fit in (and finally, it fit, so I am happy).

This bra is very confortable if you need a little center gore ! It is the first bra I try that doesn't poke in my breast tissues in the middle. The underwires are not sewn side by side, but one on the other.

It is light weight but supportive. Very open on the top, but the boobs don't fall over the cups. The bra stay in place if you ... move, you don't have to re-adjust it. But even if the bra stay in place if you are moving a lot, the boobs are jiggeling a bit ( I think this is normal because it is not a sport bra).

The underwires are not hight under my armpit, but I am very tall, so all the bras looks like this on my body. They don't poke is my breast tissues on the side, but they sit just at the limit ( I have wide boobs, but not very wide).

This bra gives a lot of lift, and a shape mix between round and pointy under clothes.

The only thing I don't like : the straps aesthetic. I think they are very granny-looking (but they are so confortable !).

    edit 3 months later :
This bra is really good when my boobs gets bigger in the week before my periods ( I wrote the review and took photos when I have "big boobs").
But, it is really too big in the cups when I have my "normal" boobs. If I tighten the straps a lot, I only have a little gap in the cups, but this distord the shape on the side, and I have back pain in the end of the day.
Now, I wear the band in the middle hook.
After 3 months of wear, I think the cup's cut is not perfect for my shape : when I scoop my breast in the bra, every thing looks pushed forward and in the middle, but during the day, my boobs returns to there natural shape (less deep in the front but more large on the side), so the cups looks too big, but I get armpit fat. Maybe this issue can be solved by a smaller cup size, but even if I am in my "big boobs"'s time, I see this return to the natural shape.

Cups are technically too small, but juuust fit if I don't swoop & scoop. The cup edge is just above my nipples so swooping and scooping (as can be seen in pics) makes the bra pretty unwearable, due to the cup height. The fit is decent, though the band is tight, my boobs just literally could use more fabric on top. That said, I'm keeping it because it's the closest thing I currently have to a nude bra, and no matter what bra, my boobs settle after swooping and scooping anyway.

I am so envious of the space you have between your breasts. Mine are too close together for almost every wired bra. Your pair looks lovely in this too small CH :-)

I bought this when I saw it on the listings. The CH is hard to come by anymore (yay for the new one!) and it's one of my favorite cuts, so I'll take almost anything in my cup volume. The measurements here are for the bra after alterations.

With a 28" underbust, the 75 is obviously too big of a band for me. I have since sewn it so it doesn't stretch past 28" (it's been altered in the photo with the yellow background). The band fits well on the loosest eyes with the alteration.
The straps are a bit thin, but they're not really stretchy. They're really long ... though and the adjusters are on my upper back. They're embroidered and adjust easily, they don't need to be fiddled with through out the day.
The wires are narrow and comfortable.
The shape is out front and moderately uplifted. This bra is older and has been through a few owners. I'm not sure if it's heavily used (I don't believe so, it's in good shape) or if it was always a soft bra, but it's a little floppy and I don't get as much lift and shaping from it as I do my other CHs. I sewed through the elastic at the top of the cup, under the arm. That holds the cup up in place better giving me more lift, but it's still soft and doesn't give me quite as much "cakes on a plate" as my other ones. The shape works well under t-shirts.
The picture with the yellow background shows the color the best, and it's still not quite right. The main material looks like a Worther's Original candy. It's a really nice caramel, and Toffik is a perfect name for it. This bra would absolutely work as a nude for me in the summer if it weren't for the trim and straps. The lighter parts show through a white t-shirt, but they work well under thin colored shirts. So, while not invisible it's still pretty versatile.

I'n quite happy with this one. I'd love to find it in my actual size of 65E, but am comfortable in this with my reversible alterations.

Update 12/22/2015: I cannot get the band on this to stay tight enough. It slides around as I wear it and the gore stabs my sternum and left breast. It would be great if I permanently shortened the band, but I am not confident enough to do so.

Update 1/23/2016: I sent this bra to another user to be altered. She took the band in by cutting off the unneeded material and reattaching the clasps. It now fits like a true 65E and I'm able to keep it. Thank you, Noob .

    • I have a Ewa hp malachit in 70 e. It is way to small on me. I bought it when trying to find my size in Polish bras. I also have a s szykus in 70 e. If you are interested I would sell them.

    • Discobra thank you for the offer! Malachit is lovely and the HP cut is my favorite. I wear a 65E in the HP and sold a 70E myself.

    • No problem. Just thought I would offer. Happy hunting for the perfect bra.

  4. This is my second Ewa Michalak order/bra. I originally reviewed this bra in a size 65GG, Review here: http://bra.pe/RB3V/ , but it was too large in the cup for me. The materials and elastic are soft and comfortable. The straps are fully adjustable and strap placement on the cups is just right. In this size of 65G I feel like the cup is a little short vertically. My areolas ever so slightly peeks out the top after wearing all day, but is not an issue for me because I always wear a nude, thin, cotton tank under my shirts. The underwire are a nice round shape ... and do not distort. The band is very comfortable, but I have to wear this on the tightest set of hooks. This bra has three columns and two rows of hooks, unlike the 65GG that had three rows. Me personally I prefer the three rows of hooks because I felt that the band provided better support. The nude is on the darker side, but looked fine under a white tee shirt. Despite the minor fit issues I will keep this bra because it does fit.

I ordered on February 4th and on the same day I got a separate notice informing me that they did not have all the items in stock to fulfill my order. On February 13th I got notice that they started to process my order, I got notice of shipment on February 14th, and it just arrived in the mail today February 23rd. This is based on shipping from Poland to Anaheim, CA, U.S.A. Overall I am very pleased with the process.

There is the cup construction part of this review, and there is... well, the rest of the components.
As to the cup itself, would say this is almost analogous in fit to the HM as it's pure depth-at-wire and appears to be built for very round even shapes needing open top for upper fullness. Which is fanfreakintastic for me, being a literal short semicircle merged to a wide/tall root, carrying most of my breast depth on the outside.
Maybe not so much, for ... all the poor souls desperately searching for THE ONE with firm narrow support, enough projection, containment in the upper region or basic coverage. I mean, it's likely that one ///could//// get a decent fit in this CH if they've got a fairly average or not extreme case of shape & support issues.
Coming 'Out of the Desert' stuck with inner-full Cleo Mimi, and Gorsenia's gorgeous albeit notoriously stingy halfcups... it might be too soon to tell if this is truly the shape I've been after, or just extremely relieving after a lifetime of utter crap (how the hell did I miss out on the whole Masquerade and Mimi thing? Oh yeah NOBODY carries anything even close to a 32 band god forbid higher tha a D cup).

As I've only had CHP's and never had another CH, I can't say whether the generally loose/lightweight/unconforming to the torso nature of the materials comprising its frame/band/strap are more to do with the matchy-matchy aspect that makes the Toffik such a gorgeous beige 'nude', or some other part of the design process at play (strapgate backlash?)

-Toffiks' straps while very long, have nearly no stretch at all and serve as cake icing decoration for my shoulders. Which is fine by mine as these are almost 20" long!
-2 small strips of elastic in the band are pretty much the only things holding this bra near my body, bust, or well being. Given they are far stretchier than my 28" underbust requires, the cups float ridiculously away from my breasts, flopping at the least provocation and sit over the sides slipping about clownishly. Temporary solution of pinning down the back much shorter, and wearing this awkward farce of a band at appropriate length is better, but clearly will be replacing the band altogether with real powernet when it arrives.
    - the frame (ie wing to gore parts of band) are also made from the same 4-way beige SUPERSTRETCHY knit sewn onto a base of very fine duoplex with the stretch cut vertically along the wings, and horizontally!? at the gore. This leads me to assume that Toffik's purpose is to fit very squishy bodies with a lot of curve both allowing the inner breast to pull out some space and force the gore to float, as well as let the outer wire point outward away from the body should the breast overflow on that end.

It's pretty ingenious/bizarre when compared to typical bra construction, so pop off I guess.

This is my first Ewa Michalak order/bra and I think it is very nice quality. The materials and elastic are soft and comfortable. The straps are fully adjustable but felt too far apart (area where the bra strap meets the front of the cup) for me due to the cups being too big. The underwire are a nice round shape and did not distort despite the fact the cup was too big. I will be reordering this bra in a 65G(30G) to see if I can get a better fit. The band was very comfortable but I have to wear this on the tightest set of hooks. This bra has three columns and three rows of hooks. The nude is on the darker side, but looked fine under a white tee shirt. I ordered on January 6th, I got notice of shipment on January 14th, and it just arrived in the mail today February 4th. So far, I am so impressed by Ewa Michalak. This bra is lovely, very comfortable, very well made. The cups stood away from my breasts at first, more on the right then the left. I think the cups are a little tall, but the depth was fine for me. They look better with the straps tightened, but there is a little bit of tissue escaping on the left side now. Otherwise, it is a very nice, rounded shape.

The band runs true to size and is snug. I can fasten it on the on the first or last hook comfortably, but there is a some strange wrinkling in the band when I move to the last. The seams and lace are slightly visible under light clothing.

I might rethink returning this, since I've started adjusting it. I think I like the look of the CHP bras better, but the gaping returns a little bit when I relax.

I really wish this bra fit me. Like the other EM bras, it is well-made, with a firm band (that has just enough stretch), supportive cups, and nicely covered underwires that don't seem to be going anywhere. The four sets of hooks is great for those who anticipate fluctuations, and the gore is SO narrow! I love narrow, high gores, and this delivers.

The outside of the cups is covered with a slick, satiny fabric that gives it a more expensive feel, as opposed to the strange cups of the HP Nina. I like the lace edging, and the decorations on the straps, which don't impact the strap adjustment ... as much as I feared. The inside of the cups is a smooth, gentle cotton. My boobs often find every single bra itchy, so this is just what I wanted from my new bras.

The dark tan color shows against my pale skin, and is too dark to wear under a white shirt. The lace and seams *barely* show with my thin, clingy fabric. Someone with a darker skin tone would do just fine.

However, when ordering these bras, I overshot my sizing. So the 55 cm band is a little too small for my 65 cm chest. (The 65G Nina is much too big in the band, and a little too small in the cup.) This is fine with an extender. But the cups are a half size too big for one boob, and a full size too big for the other. The cut of the bra means that my boobs feel like they are swimming! (In my 55HH HP Koktajl, the bra pulls my breasts towards my chest, so this is less of a deal.)

My boobs are bottom-heavy, not full on top at all, and losing their firmness. I suspect that if I were more full on the top or had a firmer tissue, the too-big cups would be less of an issue. After all, I am too big for the next cup size down.

    • I'm considering special ordering 55/60 bands from Ewa. How did you find the whole process? I'm looking at maybe a 55HH/J or a 60H/HH. Any insight you have would be wonderful!

    • You do have to email them directly in order to make the special order, and it does take a full 14 days to make the bras. Barring a few translation errors (once they canceled my order because they thought I requested a cancellation), ordering has been smooth.

I'm selling the Toffik, if you're interested. I just haven't gotten around to taking pictures because my camera eats batteries.

    • Wow, thanks for the fast reply! I'm definitely interested when you are ready to sell. I'm not 100% sure it will work, but I'd love to give it a try!
Thanks for the info on special ordering. :)

    • Whoops, I didn't realize I had already said something in my review about selling. I didn't mean to sound pushy.

Another thing I noticed about EM bras, that I articulated on a thirty-twod.livejournal.com post:
The HP style holds you more in and together, similar to the Deco but with a higher gore. CH holds your boobs up and out. This means that if you're rounding your bra size down, you are more likely to get quadraboob with an HP than with a CH style. My 55HH HP Koktajl only feels a little too big, whereas this and the other 55HH CH bra (Cielus) definitely need pads! I don't know if this means that HP styles run smaller, or what. So that's something to keep in mind while choosing a bra. I'll PM you about the sale.

Open-on-top three-part half-cup shape. Cup height too short, half my boob is hanging out. Gore is slightly overlapped. Band is perfect for me. For reference I am 26" and 34" leaning.

    • They are used, I received them from another user here
