    32G

    Fits

This is the third Empreinte bra I tried. I wrote pretty negative reviews about Nikki and Anna (Both 65G) but I'm happy I gave Emreinte another chance because, believe it or not, I actually love this bra. I wish Emreinte would extand their size range a little bit, the size thing is really the biggest issue for me.

But first - superficially it's obviously beautifull. I don't know what deserves the title "french luxury lingerie" more then this. The color is amazing and fits me pretty well I think. Unfortunatly they didn't have the shorts or normal panty anymore so I got the thong (They had a sale ... so ugh I like to own matching sets!), I usually don't really wear thongs but was really surprised that this one is really soft and comfortable.
This bra is very well done and this time I do actually think that it is worth the price and from the reviews I've seen on here Cassiopée seems to fit a range of differend breat shapes.
The Cups are Seemless and I guess adapt well to your shape. I'm FoB and CF but with tall roots and these cups work super well for me.
They make a really good rounded shape, the Cups are really spacious and comfortable and the straps are soft on the skin but strong and not stretchy.
The gore doesn't tack perfectly, but almost, I do hope it's gonna tack as I'm loosing weight.

The biggest (only) problem here is the large band. I would usually choose 65/30 but the cups would definitely be to small. with the 65G the cups fit almost perfect but I almost immediatly had to use the tightest hook for it to not ride up in the back. I am not going to send this back, I am going to keep it because I like it and it's almost perfect but I'm tried to alter the band a few times already and the seam I made is pretty ugly and scratchy. If anyone knows a good band altering tutorial pleeeease feel free to share!

I'm definitely going to keep an eye on french lingerie in the future and try more.

    30E

    Fits

This is the result of my recent visit in Empreinte’s atelier. I initially just wanted to discover the brand and determine my size.
If I were to buy an Empreinte bra on internet, I would probably try a 80E (and this is also the size their online calculator suggests). The French 80 bands translate to the British 30. In theory, my British 30F size translates to the European 65G or French 80G but I seem to mostly wear 80F in French brands. As Empreinte’s cups are known for being deep, I would probably go down from the 80F to the 80E. I couldn’t be more wrong… Thus I’m happy ... I actually got fitted by them.
After being measured, I was given a 75F to try on but it turned out way too big in the cups. The 75E was perfect in terms of cup volume. I was really surprised when I saw the label – it says the 75E is equivalent to 30E. Normally, the French 75 bands translate to the British 28 but it seems Empreinte has its own sizing chart.
I tried two types of construction: the seamless one and the 3 part balconette they call “corbeille”. I’m very disappointed because the balconette doesn’t work on my breast shape https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I love their balconettes because they have the best designs and the most beautiful laces, but unfortunately in 75E the gore is too high and very hard making it painful and the cups are too closed off (even if I’m FOB). I tried the sister size 80D hoping the wires would be softer and the looser band would make the gore wearable. The wires are the same, but the gore and the cups are actually lower. This size could work but the band is unfortunately too loose.
The other styles I tried were the seamless Melody and Cassiopée. I was very surprised with the fit. The cups are very high and I would call this cut fullcup. I’ve never bought fullcups because I thought they give a pointy shape but this one is surprisingly rounded. It’s also a tiny bit to closed off but there’s no major quadding. The underwires are quite narrow, comparable to the EM, and hard but I don’t have the gore issue in this cut. As mentioned, the cups offer much coverage and the straps attachment is placed really high. I thought it would result in empty space in the upper part as I don’t really have breast tissue up there but there’s no wrinkling. I already have some unpadded bras and they all have cups running high under the armpits causing some discomfort. There’s no such issue in this bra as the straps are quite close set. I would possibly prefer them wider because I have narrow root but I can deal with it. The straps seem sturdy and their stretchiness is only 30% according to the label, offering great support. They’re also rather long so they can accommodate low set breast. The band is very comfortable. It also seems it’ll stretch out a little bit because it’s only made of a single layer and the elastics seem less sturdy than in EM bras, but I don’t think it’ll require alteration.
There are no words to describe how beautiful this bra is. I love laces but I’ve never seen a lace like this before. It’s intricate and shiny, all that I love! I think it’s right to say that I’ve never worn such a beautiful bra so far, I feel like a queen wearing it ^^. The quality and the materials are really good and the bra is really well made. However, when I compare it to my other bras, I have to admit that EM materials are the most suitable for the size and thus the most comfortable and the only Avocado I own is the best made bra I’ve ever seen (even if the shape and comfort aren’t perfect). This comparison proves that the Polish brands make a great job even though the French brands use incredibly beautiful materials.

I’m a big fan of this bra. I’m short (5’) and often have trouble finding underwires that aren’t too wide for my frame. The cups are close and narrow, and have the best projection of any bra I’ve tried. The material in the cups is remarkable. There are no seams but they don’t stretch over time. I was fitted for this bra, and the fitter told me they use technologically more advanced materials. At the time, I thought that was probably hookum. But, I think she might be right. The material is sturdy, even though it’s lacy and comfortable. When I got ... this bra, I was fitted into a 38H in Primadonna and a 36G in Empreinte. The sizer told me that Empreinte does fit differently. If you buy one, definitely go down a cup size. I’m not sure quite how to advise on the band. The bands are more elastic/prone to stretching than Primadonna’s. The full length of the straps is adjustable (which is good for my short torso). My only complaint is that the straps are a bit wide-set for my shoulders- a problem I find with most bras. Empreinte makes an @Appoline style which has closer straps that I prefer.

    32E

    Fits

This review is for the @Empreinte Cassiopee Underwired Seamless Bra in the Opaline colorway in 32E UK. My ABTF size is currently 30FF but at the time I bought this it was 32FF.

    Band:
    * Seemed a little more stretchy than I expected. Since buying it my band size has reduced a bit so it's hard to say if it's truly loose or I just need a new size. Has 3 hooks by 3 columns.

    Wires:
    * Narrow, thank goodness for me!

    Cups:
    * Seamless. Gives a natural rounded shape (not cakes on a plate).

    Straps:
    * The straps are fully adjustable and sit nicely.

    Fabric:
    * This has a gorgeous embroidery pattern with iridescent thread. I bought ... it at the holidays and it does sparkle!

    Hardware:
    * The hardware is matching and it has tiny matching bows where the straps meet the cups.

About me: very close set (breasts touch), very narrow roots, very projected at the wire, full on bottom, short roots, soft tissue, significant rib flares, narrow shoulders.

    FIT

    * The band is more forgiving than I'm used to and that might be what's making this so comfortable with my rib flares.
    * The wires are wonderfully narrow at this size.
    * The gore tacks well for me.
    * The cups are great for my short roots, full on bottom.
    * The straps are plenty long enough and fully adjustable. This might be considered a center pull because it does not cut into my TOS.
    * The sides are a comfortable height for me.

    OVERALL IMPRESSION
    * I love it so much that I bought 2 more in other styles! It's the first bra that doesn't hurt my rib flares. This is a pricey bra so if you can get it on sale that's ideal. But since I've tried on many dozens (maybe hundreds) of bras and this is the first that I can wear comfortably all day, it's worth it for me.

    Didn't fit

I’ve waited so long to try this bra, and I’m so disappointed that it doesn’t fit. First, it’s absolutely gorgeous. Second, it’s got extremely narrow and vertical wires, which is what I really need. But: it’s huge. Both the projection and height are just… a lot. For reference, I normally wear a UK 30E/F, and I’d have to go down 2 cups sizes for this to fit.

    Hasn't set fit

Cassiopee is a beautiful full cup, seamless, sheer bra with embroidered mesh cups and lace. It is described as an "innovative method of moulding rigid embroidery for great support". I guess it is supportive in a bouncy natural looking way. I appreciate no seams because I usually wear t-shirts and it is mostly invisible under tops. The gore is wide and the cups seem to be extra deep for it's size. The band is very stretchy.

I bought the Macchiato 34G about 18 months ago and have only worn it a handful of times. I allowed a salesperson to convince me that it was a ... great fit but it is too large overall. I'm not a fan of full cup bras and this one just feels like too much bra on me. I altered the gore to make it more narrow which helped it fit a little better. I feel a bit guilty every time I see it in the bra drawer because it was so $$$$. So today I took it out for another try. It is comfortable enough but I hate the shape or gives me.

edit: So this Cassiopee is actual a 32G. I've only worn it 3 -4 times and maybe the band stretched but I have to close it on the last row of hooks. I was frustrated with the wide gore and did some bra surgery to try to narrow it. I felt a little guilty messing with such an expensive bra but I wasn't wearing it anyway. It is somewhat narrower and looks better. It also is not visible under white t-shirts. I'm super sensitive to fabrics and it feels a bit itchy. Idk if I will actually wear it now.

    Didn't fit

I really loved this bra when I tried it on (I must have to pay $200 for it), but when I wore it for the first time, I was in agony. The straps were constantly falling down and folding over on themselves (I have narrow sloping shoulders, which doesn't help). The band is very stretchy, I was on the tightest hook within a few weeks. I ended up taking in the band 2" in order to get more than 6 months life out of it. It is absolutely beautiful and gives a nice shape, but that's about it.

If I knew nothing about bras, and I went to a bra store wanting to get fitting for a proper bra after sizing out V.S. - I probably would've thought this bra was the best thing since sliced bread! Given that it has a very rounded shape, this is probably what many women are looking for. However, now I know that I can get a more pointed shape, I prefer that.
I wanted to try Empreinte since I read Introvert's glowing review of this bra - how could I not?! I wanted to see what I was missing out on. Even when I was taking the measurements for ... this bra I thought to myself - wow, the underwires are so narrow, I won't fit into this - but surprise, surprise- I did! It has some very deep cups in this size - G cup. Even though I measure 32GG UK, it fits me fine.

I *can see* how this would be a popular bra in N. America and I think it's the shape (like I said before). The band is also very stretchy - I don't know (in retrospect) if this is *really* the right size for me, or if I would actually do better in a 65 band, even though I marked that it fits. I bought this from France (mesdessous.fr) for $110 cad although it retails in my city for $210 - $270 cad, depending on what store you go to. But I mailed it back today using PayPal returns.

The colour also doesn't work for me, Rose Savauge just isn't pink enough for me. (edit: It looks more pink in the picture online, imo. Maybe I should've investigated more, but I really wanted pink, and it looks more taupe on me than I would've preferred.)

The other features of this bra are okay, but like I said, I'm not sure if a better fit would be to go down a band in this. I would buy from France if you already knew what your sizes were in each style, otherwise the shipping back to France can be expensive, and I wouldn't want to risk it unless you could use a service like PayPal returns to get partially your shipping cost back.

I'm functionally full on bottom, short roots and very center full. This is just too much bra for me. Cups are too tall and I don't fill the
tops of the cup well. It does a good job of accommodating my center fullness. Immediate projection is good
Gore too tall and I get that muffin top over the gore.
Under a t shirt this is close to invisible and I think in all but the most clingy shirt, it would not show.
