Love this bra! The fit feels really great. (Big shoutout to Stephanie with Breakout Bras, who recommended this bra and size to me based on emails alone! It's obvious she knows what she's doing, and I will definitely be buying from them in the future!)
The fit is really nice on me, and super comfortable. There's plenty of projection at the wire, the gore has a strong tack, the band is snug without being restrictive, and I'm not fighting to keep the straps on my shoulders. The only fit issue is that the wires are a good bit wider than they ought to be (1.5-2"!). However, I don't think ...this causes significant fit issues because of the fantastic amount of center projection and the fact that the underwires don't run high under my under arms. The wires also feel somewhat flexible and aren't pokey at all.
Important note about this "plunge style" is that it's rather different than other plunges (which is great for me, since my center-full breasts don't like to stay put in most plunges). I'll just paste in Stephanie's description here, because I think it's spot on: "This is a plunge shape but not a traditional plunge bra style. Like Tiana, it gives a very forward and boosted side and underbust fit. This cup shape is great for softer and heavier tissue because it keeps the breast tissue from settling in the bottom and putting extra pressure on the wires. This wire shape also tucks closer to the root for ladies who have narrower/higher attached tissue. The center cup depth is very accommodating, and the stretch lace upper cups will hug well to softer tissue while the banded edging keeps the tissue in place instead of letting it slip out as you move."
The material is very smooth and satiny. I love the stretch lace on on top, which helps provide a smooth line over the tops of my breasts while still preventing my center-full breast tissue from spilling over the somewhat lower gore. I'm rather FOB, but I think this bra could work for people who are also more even or even somewhat FOT, because of it's stretchiness.
As far as attractiveness, it's not my favorite, especially in the nude color. Something about the particular style of the lace edging and the print used feels matronly on me. I do really love the look of the red floral pattern, so I might get that colorway instead, although I really do need to have a well-fitting nude bra... It's definitely not a "sexy" plunge, like others, but it's also far from the worst I've seen. Read more 327 more words
Wow, this is the most impressed I've been by a bra that doesn't fit me. The wires are laughably wide on me, but they don't poke or feel uncomfortable at all. The cups are too shallow and my breasts don't fill out the bottom of the cup, and yet it still feels very supportive and gives a smooth profile. The least comfortable thing for me is that the band feels fairly tight, but even that is surprisingly more comfortable than it should be. The pressure of the band is more spread out than other tight bands. Despite how clearly this doesn't fit me, I actually considered keeping it! I will definitely be trying to sister-size down to the right cup size.
Quality and material feels excellent. Very soft and smooth. It's definitely not the most attractive sports bra, but I prefer to work out with a shirt on anyway.
I ordered this bra online, and unfortunately got the wrong cup size, so the cups are too small. Other than that, it's a great bra! The underwires don't poke me in the armpits, which is a problem I run into frequently. I bought the red color, which is super cute! The lace on top is stretchy, so even though the cups are too small, I don't have "quad-boob." I've already ordered what I hope is the right cup size, so we'll see how it fits when it arrives!
Despise this thing. It's really adorable and I won't throw it out, but the gore is too wide and both individual wires are too wide as well. I think I'll have to try panache Ana next.
Matilda is in my opinion Elomis greatest hit. It's their besteller and they make in a bazillion colours. I got the plain black because it was the only one available from a local online shop and I needed it quickly. I had a few Matildas in my old size 32JJ and they were a good fit although a bit wide and the only plunge that worked for me in that size range. I was surprised that the 32GG also works in my current size! It's actually a good width for my fairly wide root and has a good cup height. The gore is low enough to not pinch ...my close set boobs. The wires are fairly hard and it needs to be worn in. At first the gore would press into my sternum but it gets better with wear. The fabric is mesh, it's quite thin and feels a bit cheap. The cute embroiderie does elevate it from looking boring and cheap though. I would recommend this bras as it's very widely available, does fit a good range of sizes, is supportive, sturdy and longlasting. It's most likely to work for someone who likes a lower gore but still good support, wider wires, tall cups and overall a sturdy supportive every day bra. If you need more space on top and softer wires, go for the Charley plunge with stretch lace. Read more 123 more words
Maybe if you try the bra with an extender it’ll help with the gore pain. Since it looks like the band is pretty tight.
Ok I gonna try that. I found the band quite stretchy and it's on the tightness level I am used to. So I did not think it's too small.

I really really like the softness of this material. There's no itchy lace and that's a relief. It seems to be common in the bandless bra types. However, I think my lack of fullness underneath doesn't quite fill up the cups under neath (maybe I'm too projected?) and then I get a falling out of the top on my larger breast size. The cups are also too wide as they wrap under my armpit completely. I'm ok with this because it doesn't seem to effect my fit whatsoever in that it's uncomfortable or gives a bad look. I really wanted this to fit but it fits extremely close to the Tia that has be discontinued which is what I've worn for two years.
The Great Amazon Prime Wardrobe Try-On, Part 4! My shape: projected, soft tissue, narrow shoulders and roots, FOB Fit: Elomi is out of my size range, but I really wanted to try their sports bra anyways. As I figured, the cups are too large on me, and it makes me sad because I really love the looks and feel of this bra. It's silky smooth, firm band, and cute colors! I guess I'm stuck with my Panache Sports bras. This has a J-hook clip, so you can make it a racerback style bra if you prefer that.
The Great Amazon Prime Wardrobe Try-On, Pt 2! My shape: FOB, narrow roots/shoulders, soft tissue, 32G (though I'm thinking maybe more 30G since a lot of these 32 bands are too stretchy for me!) Fit: This is laughably too big for me. I'm super disappointed, because I have read so many rave reviews for this brand, and this style in particular! If they made smaller cup sizes, I would be in better shape. Appearance: I love the darker beige color of this bra. The fabric isn't that soft, though; the cups are made of a stiff lace.
My shape is FoB, nothing on top, wide short-ish roots. I sized down because I knew filling out the top of the cup would be a problem in my regular size. It's a problem in this size as well, but it's close. I hadn't tried Elomi before and found a somewhat decent price so I decided to give it a shot. I found the style to be beautiful. The fan-shape pattern of the lace is lovely with the peek through mesh edge at the top of the cup. The material is very stiff but will probably soften with washing. Being a full cup, it has too much ...empty space at the top for me. Adjusting the straps helped a little but not enough. The bottom could use more projection. I've found few bras that have enough space at the wire. I wish I could have sized down in the band. I was easily on the tightest hook. I don't know if Elomi typically runs large in the band but this 32 had a stretched measurement of 34. I tend to wear Curvy Kate balconettes and this had a somewhat matronly feel to me.
ETA: when I first tried this on I didn't use the J-Hook on the straps, which turn it into a racerback. What a game changer! It pulled the loose upper portion of the cup taut, changing the fit and appearance completely. The matronly look is gone, and now I'm trying to decide whether to keep it. The J-Hook makes it feel tighter, even with the loose band. Read more 155 more words
Shallow at the wire and the cup is tall for a half cup bra in a plunge style. It did not work for me and I returned it. I did measure it for the data base though.
I’m so happy that I haven’t sized out of it yet. Actually, the 32GG is borderline too small, but it depends on how full my boobs are (currently breast pumping).
Everything about Matilda is great. I e review it already a few times in different sizes (34HH, 34J). There isn’t much to say. I like the color of this one. Also, I love how petite the smaller sizes are - 2 hooks and a tiny band - like when did I ever think I’d wear something this delicate and petite? 😂
I bought this bra before I fully understood my shapes needs, but it did help me along my path of bra fit understanding. It is definitely too shallow and wide for me, and I think my boobs aren´t meant for plunges. I definitely have to scoop out, and it splays my boobs more than anything.

I wanted to like Carmen but there were a few factors that made me send it back. First, I didn't care for the stiff fabric. It may have softened up with washing so that wasn't the deal breaker. I've learned that Elomi wires are too wide for me. The shape would have been fine but I had too much empty fabric on the sides to justify keeping. For reference, Curvy Kate tends to be a little wide for me and this was far wider than CK. Otherwise, the shape was nice, I liked the appearance of the plunge and the low gore, and the band seemed to run true to size.
Fits beautifully and is quite sexy and flattering, however it does separate my breasts in a way that distributes weight well, but doesn't sit as high/forward as I like.

I believe Elomi do a lot of 'sister styles' with similar fit, so that's great if you can find more colorways!
