I bought this bra thinking it would work out and it didn't...

Edited 28 Jan 11 because if anyone is considering it from the bra-trade list I want you to anticipate how it fits:
First off, all Elle Macpherson & DimitySO bands run small. This is a 32 yet it fits like a 30, check the re-measurements. Originally it was measured with inches then converted to cm but it has been remeasured in cm for more accuracy. (Same fit as my DimitySO bra. They are the same company, made by Elle Macpherson Intimates.)

Second, these straps are incredibly long (fully tightened) at 33cm and stretchy. Most likely you will ... have to sew them smaller for a better fit.

Third, at this size (which again fits like a UK 30G more similar to Panache) the cup material does not support teardrop shaped or "full on bottom" breasts. The material does not allow any support/shape. It is kind of like my boobs just "sit" there but covered. If your boobs happen to be a narrow root or more firm, maybe this will work better for you.

The cup material is also very ridiculously stretchy!!

I like projected look but this doesn't give that to you. The center does dig into my chest. I'm not sure why. The shoulder strap does kind of bother me near my underarm. The underwire is broad.

My shape: full on bottom, soft tissue, narrow shoulders/roots.
Special thanks to MamaPagan for sending me this bra (and many others!) to try on!
Appearance and Fit: Ooo boy, is this ever a shape mismatch for me. The gore is crooked and not tacking, the wires are suuuuper wide and poking my armpits, and there isn't enough depth for all my soft tissue.
The bra itself is really pretty. I love the royal blue/teal green combination, but have yet to find one that actually fits me. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> The lace isn't very stretchy on this bra, and the little ribbon that goes across the top of the cups cuts into my breasts right in the middle, so I get some weird looking lumps. I'd say if you don't need a lot of center projection, and generally like shallower cups, this one would work best for you.

    • Does this band feel TTS? I read all over that Elle bras have tighter bands than most "popular" companies. I love alot of their stuff but am worried as I generally need a 28 band and they rarely even have 30's.

    • LeProfessor I'd say maybe slightly larger? Just based on my stretched measurement, but then again, I like having tight bands, so anything that goes much past 32 inches stretched feels too loose on me.
If you usually wear 30 bands, this would probably feel loose on you, but how to you prefer your bands?

    • No, I generally wear size 28 bands and my rib measures 27" loosely, even so I prefer tight 28 bands. I can just get away with wearing some tight 30 bands so long as everything else is right. Thank you for your prompt response mandapandarawks !

I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.

Artistry is a blue lace over a light blue sheer liner. It is unpadded with the standard 3 part cups.

The band measures 22.75” to a max of 36.25” and has 3 hooks with 3 rows of eye loops.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 10.25”

2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    ... This measurement is: 12”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

First of all, the band is great. 3 Rows of hooks, really really snug and reaches down a little bit under the cups, which I like (don't really know how to express this, i'm not a native speaker...but you can see this in the photos, there is still some band under the wires). Best band I've ever worn.
But unfortunately, the cup form doesn't fit my breast at all. I think, it's what you call shallow cups. On one photo, you can see that I cannot fill the outer bottom of the cup, so there's an empty gap there. Also, the cups neither bring my boobs to the front nor do they lift them. Weird shape.
The look of the bra is beautiful. But I guess the lace could be itchy after some hours of wearing. The straps are comfotable.

I have not worn this bra yet. It was on sale for $17 at TJMaxx so I bought to have something cheap and lacy for date night. I don't like how the bottom of the cup's lace puckers up away from the bra. Wouldn't wear it under anything fitted, but for $17 at this size, hard to pass up

I'd say this is best for someone with separate and spalyed breasts. Mine are forward and close, so the gore bothers me and the outer wires are taller than I'd like and extend too far, even though the volume is right.

Because of the shape issues I haven't worn it much and can't say how it holds up. But it has the softest lace of any of the EMIs I've tried and I wish it fit. The straps are half adjustable and a little too far apart for my narrow shoulders, but the straps stay up somehow and adjust short enough for my shortish frame.

I hate this bra. It is the most un-supportive and unflattering bra I own. It's supposedly my size, but the cups just won't cover my boobs, and I sag just as much wearing the bra as I do braless. No support. The cotton slings stay in place but the outer drop-cups just slouch down right along with my boobs, creating a really awkward gap between the two layers that is not pretty, and very uncomfortable. In order to prevent this, I tried tightening the straps as far as they would go. I ended up feeling slightly more supported, but the straps cut into shoulders and armpits, and the gap between the two layers across the top of my boobs was even more pronounced - you could see skin! It doesn't lie flat under a shirt and it looks like I'm wearing two camisoles that bunched up, and no bra. I could see this bra working for someone with much smaller or flatter breasts, but honestly they shouldn't have even made it in 32G because it's not worth it.

This bra is just the wrong shape for me. The cup extends down below the band and I cannot fill that space. It's a beautiful bra but the cup shape is so stiff that my breasts just don't take to the shape of it.

It's a good bra but not right for me for some reason. The straps are clearly too wide apart and sit in my armpits. The cups look and feel well constructed. My breasts feel contained by the cups but not lifted. The top wrinkles and the high wings make them feel tight even though the cup is wide. It could be that my narrow shoulders and medium height make me too small for this bra. If I were to guess this bra is good for more pendulous breasts. The satin band is pretty, but know that there's mesh on the inside. It's sturdy but scratchy in unwashed condition if you're sensitive.

Have had this bra for a while, and have finally come to terms with the fact that I've grown out of it. The band is pretty tight for a 32. It's a beautiful bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
