I have a wide root and shallow boobs. I do need flat cups but not extraordinary wide wires. I almost don't have any volume on top. I usually wear this bra when my boobs are smaller during the first weeks after my mestruation.
The band seems to be true to size, as I'm usually a 30C/D I need to alter it. The cups are very shallow and wide wired. They only allow a little volume on top but are true to size.
Elle Macpherson is a really bad habit I find hard to break. They don't really make my size - 32B (the smallest size I can find in most styles) is a bit small in the cup and loose in the band. I've known this for years, and still I buy them because THEY ARE SO PRETTY.
This one is by no means an exception. It's loose in the band, and the underwires stab me in the sideboob. Obviously this means little support and constant tugging at my bra. The lace shows through almost any fabric. It's great for "that special night" ONLY in the night portion - the design and color (I have the magenta one) definitely get the point across.
If anyone runs across Elle Macpherson in smaller band sizes, please let me know! I'd love for the pretty stuff to also be functional. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
My first fitted bra. I really, really like it a lot still, even though it's a bit on the small side for me now. The bra is very comfortable, gives my boobs a good shape and I like its looks. The band feels like a 30 band, btw., really tight, and it hasn't stretched out yet.
