This bra is so cute but unfortunately the cups are too projected for me (I fit shallow, wide cups best). My roots are short so I can't fill up the top of the cup at all. Also, despite my other Elle Macpherson bra having fairly wide underwires, I found this one to be too narrow, cutting into my breasts at the sides. Likely won't be keeping.
Found this bra while browsing through Poshmark. Gorgeous! Had to order it immediately. First thing I noticed when I received it was the underwire is fairly wide. I have conical breasts that are almost 4 fingers separated from one another, so I look for shallow cups with wide underwires. I was excited thinking this bra was going to be perfect for me, but unfortunately the cups were still the slightest bit too deep. If I stand up straight then the bra looks perfect (the extra wide cups keep my larger breast from spilling out!), but once I start to slouch it's much more obvious that I don't fill in the ...cups, especially since I have somewhat short roots. The straps are fairly thin; not the usual 1 centimeter we get . Also, when I first tried to tighten up the straps I realized they were already shortened to their max. When loosened up, they were insanely long. May have to see about altering this. Despite the not so perfect fit, the bra is so pretty that I will keep it for special occasions. Read more 71 more words
My shape: full on bottom, soft tissue, narrow shoulders/roots. Special thanks to MamaPagan for sending me this bra (and many others!) to try on! Appearance and Fit: Ooo boy, is this ever a shape mismatch for me. The gore is crooked and not tacking, the wires are suuuuper wide and poking my armpits, and there isn't enough depth for all my soft tissue. The bra itself is really pretty. I'd say if you don't need a lot of center projection, and generally like shallower cups, this one would work best for you.
Does this band feel TTS? I read all over that Elle bras have tighter bands than most "popular" companies. I love alot of their stuff but am worried as I generally need a 28 band and they rarely even have 30's.
LeProfessor I'd say maybe slightly larger? Just based on my stretched measurement, but then again, I like having tight bands, so anything that goes much past 32 inches stretched feels too loose on me. If you usually wear 30 bands, this would probably feel loose on you, but how to you prefer your bands?
No, I generally wear size 28 bands and my rib measures 27" loosely, even so I prefer tight 28 bands. I can just get away with wearing some tight 30 bands so long as everything else is right. Thank you for your prompt response mandapandarawks !

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.
It is a very cute bra. Sheer and very very thin, with lace on top of the cups which is really pretty, super light and comfortable, the shape it gives is really round and makes my boobs look smaller and kind of flat, the support is very little but I still like it because you feel like you are not wearing a bra Jajja I would say is true to size, the straps adjust all the way, it has a pretty bow between the cups.
Absolutely gorgeous and sexy bra, I've held onto it for far too long in the hopes one day I would fit into it... Not a chance. I bought this when I measured at a 28C-D, now at a DD and its just.. Ridiculously small. I'm not even going to dignify it with pictures. I think the cups are designed for pretty minimal coverage as it is. They are made of a beautiful sheer cream mesh with peach and cream embroidery in a two-part half cup. Super soft peach satin straps, though I found these to juuuust fit at their shortest. The band is very stretchy - it measures smaller than my 28s, but stretches out to a full 30 inches.
This definitely is not the right size for me even though it technically fits. My breasts remain unmoved the fabric is pretty much just there. Might as well be braless. I think I need a smaller cup/larger band as some other users suggested or maybe just a different brand. Probably both. Definitely not the bra for me. It is very comfy but why wouldn't it be since it isn't actually doing anything for me. Pretty though.
The design of the bra is beautiful! I received this for free on the bra swap subreddit and it's used but still in good condition. Since 34DD is my sister size (I usually fit a 32E), the band is a bit wide for me but not wide enough that the band rides up when I wear it, thankfully. Because it's not as tight as it should be, it doesn't feel as supportive. I think I would fit the bra well if I tried a 32E. It's a pretty comfortable bra! Edit: On re-try, the bra band is wide and does feel a bit uncomfortable if I tighten my straps.
This bra is beautiful! It is unlined and light, yet has enough structure to offer an excellent natural shape. Up against all the stretchy molded contoured mystery fabric world of bras, this one has a classic elegance that I have a curiosity for. I love the silk fabric, the delicate lace, and the the side supported lift. I bought this used on reddit, so it has been worn and it's not as elastic as it used to be but the bra is in pretty good condition. I unfortunately find that my breasts don't fill up the cup fully, so there's gapping, especially for my smaller breast. The band/gore/straps feel comfortable. I think this bra may fit if I grab a 32E, although the gapping on the top part of my breast does concern me a bit so I'm not sure.
This bra runs small both in the cup and the band. Fortunately I had read reviews from other Elle Macpherson bras and ordered the 32D instead of a 30D and am very glad I did. The biggest the band stretches is 29", the precise comfort zone for my back. After a swoop and scoop it fits perfectly! For the record, I am a shallow/wide root with pointy, close-set breasts. This bra creates a lovely, curved silhouette with its slight contoured padding in an upward molded shape that even gives me some cleavage. On top of all that, it's silk, including even the ...lining of the cups. The golden lace detailing is gorgeous and properly sewn down instead of just laid on top and the straps are about 2/3 non-stretch satin (while still adjusting in the back just enough for my petite stature), so I think this bra will last a long time.
My only dickering will be the bows. Though they look rather cute, the little bows on the back are completely impractical for wearing anything over it (the matching bikini has the same issue with two bows toward the front). After taking the reference pictures I set about removing them. Instead of the usual single attachment easily snipped off, these were very tightly sewn down and it was nerve-wracking getting them off without destroying the silk. In the end I succeeded, but it took the better part of 20 minutes and a lot of very carefully seam-ripping to achieve it. This is my second try of this particular style. I have tried this bra in 32DD. The 32E is a much better fit in the cup with no quad-boobing. There is nude ribbon that goes from the gore along the edge of the moulded cup (between it and the lace section) to a third of the way up the strap ending in a bow. This ribbon has to go, as where it in sewn onto the strap the stitching drives me to distraction irritating me! Other than that it's a good quality bra.
Got this bra on clearance otherwise wouldn't have considered it. TTS in the band. Runs about a size small in the cup. Would like to try it in a 32E. Otherwise the quality is good. Lace is a little scratchy around the bottom of the band when sitting. A bit of seam show through under clothes but not the worst I've seen.
Very pretty color and contrast details. Low gore. Cups have a little less coverage than I prefer. Elastic at top of cups has lost its snap, so there is a little wrinkle in the lace even though I'm plenty full enough for the cups (but I also did not wash this as delicately as I should have).
