This is my first bra that's anywhere near an appropriate size for me (used to wear 32A or 30B). Now I don't even know how I ever wore my old bras -- this one is so much more comfortable! With that being said, I have to wear it on the tightest hook, even though it's new; even then, it still feels like it doesn't stay in place (rides up slightly). However, I measure less than 26" underbust, so I think this would be perfect for someone who measures closer to a 28". I've read elsewhere that this model has a slightly bigger band than ... the other Curvy Kate bras, but I don't know that from experience. The cups create a pretty nice, rounded shape for my splayed breasts and seem best for those who are FOB. I would say the quality is great for the price I got it at and am hoping it doesn't stretch out too quickly. The racer-back feature is nice, for those who like having that option. The only thing I don't love about it is the mesh band in the back, just because it looks a bit tacky to me. One last note, I removed the bows and dangling rhinestone from the bra, which is why it looks a little different from the original.

Great to hear you're finding your size, bands vary in different brands so there are tighter ones out there.

    • 2

Comexim makes smaller bands and it looks like they run on the small side, too. I haven't tried one of their bras yet but I covet the Comexim Laura (134) and its related models. Sigh.

From what I gather, several on here seem to think Cleo/Panache runs tight in the band. The Juna I tried I didn't find particularly tight, but I do find the cups to run smaller.

I think this bra is best suited for FOB breasts, or even with a short root. I'm even with a tall root, so my breasts act like they're FOB, but I need upper looseness, which this bra does not have.

    Hasn't set fit

In this model the cup is small, so buy a bigger cup than I normally use 28 GG.
It is very nice and holds very well but has three problems:
    - The cup is too high in the armpit area and it is nailed especially if you have a narrow body like a size 28, surely for wider backs do not be so uncomfortable.
    - I can not fill the bottom of the cup, it is as if the fabric did not fit well to the breasts.
    - The band comes very tight at least for me although I have read contrary opinions.

Bottoms of cups are shallow. Sides of cups come up too high for me. And I don't quite fill the sides or the tops in this size. I'm not a fan of bands whose edges are much tighter than the rest of the band which creates extra rolls (on a squishy person like myself) and pressure points that dig in rather than distributing the weight across the band.

I have a couple of this style in 32G that are currently my daily bras. I still have to reverse scoop (scooping outwards, rather than inwards) throughout the day, but they're wearable and currently the best I've got.

  5. I usually wear a 30JJ (often 30K in CK), and I love this bra. In the black colourway, it runs big in both the cups and band. The 30J fits more like a 32J, so I need to wear it on the tightest hooks, but aside from that the fit is spot on for me. It gives a great, naturally uplifted shape (the likes of Bravissimo unpadded bras). It has more projection than any other CK bra I've seen, with fairly narrow wires and a low gore. All in all, if only the band was tighter it would be my perfect bra. The only other problem is that it's quite high at the underarms, and the straps are just slightly too wide, so they can irritate throughout the day. It's a minor complaint though! The cup shape is spot on for those with balanced fullness (like myself), though I have read reviews from both bottom-heavy and full-on-top women who have found it worked on them. Definitely worth a try for those sized out of other t-shirt bras!

    • Was this very east west? I keep thinking about trying it but ck tends to be far to east vs west =[

Ahhh, Curvy Kate....always just SO CLOSE to fitting but not quite there. I do love the looks of this bra, and am in love with red colorway with the subtle leopard print. And the cute crystal charm at the gore. I'm such a girlie girl, and the more "bling" and glam on a bra the better! Lol!

Unfortunately, the wires on this are just a bit too wide for me, and there doesn't seem to be enough immediate projection at the base of the cup (getting a bit of orange in a glass on both sides). The wires come out and around pretty far under my arms. And ... I'm getting some slight quad boob. But, as always, I LOVE that there are 3 rows of hooks on CK bras! Very supportive and sturdy, well-constructed. Surprisingly, the gore is rather comfy for my close-set girls. And this bra gives them an amazing shape under a shirt!! I had similar fit issues with the Entice, but I had that in a 28GG. The 28G seems to fit better, oddly enough, but the Smoothie gives a much nicer shape on me. It's totally wearable, and you can't see any of the fit issues with a shirt on (maybe a little of the quad boob). But I get a great uplifted, rounded shape. I just wish the wires were a bit more narrow with a little more depth.

What's good?: Damn near everything. Gives great shape, soft, and pretty. Reviewers on Brastop recommended ordering a cup down from true size and that seems right, as I'd be swimming if I bought a 38FF.

What's bad?: Not much. I haven't wore it for a full day yet. For now it's on the stiff side, but after years of loose, move all around bands, I'd prefer it stiff and the underwires not bending all over.

Updated: Apparently this fits like shit. And here I thought I was out of the bra matrix! The cups are too shallow for me, so it seems as if I should lower the band and up the cup. To what, I don't know, perhaps a 36G-H.

  9. Finally a Curvy Kate I can wear. I do not get along with their unpadded bras. I've tried almost every style on and the shape just doesn't work for me. For reference I can wear 34HH in the unpadded styles. This bra is very comfortable and gives a nice round profile. It also pushes the boobs up. I would say the sizing is pretty accurate. I am very full on top and the 34H fits well which tends to be my size in other brands these days. I would not want a bigger cup (they don't make it anyway) because it would probably gape. The cups are very ... open on top which is probably why it can accommodate a full on top bust. I would say it is less of a plunge and more of a lower balconette. I had a Deco when I was a FF and I always had the problem of spilling out in the middle. Not with this bra. I know the cup depth measurement doesn't seem that deep for an H, but if you are an H cup I suggest you try it. Something about the cut of this bra just fits and I don't get quad boob. Looks great under clothes. That is when I was really sold on it.

    • Hi there, I was wondering if you found the band of the Smoothie to be firm enough, given that it has so much stretch in it. I'm debating between the 32 and 34 band and was just wondering what your experience has been, since I think that our underbust measurements are pretty close - I fluctuate between a 33.5 and a 34.3ish depending on the time of the month. Thanks!

    • I would say go with the 32. My underbust is currently 33in and I can wear this bra on the tightest hook very comfortably. If I were to buy this bra again I would get a 32HH.

    • Thanks so much, that is very helpful! The measurements looked that way as well, but it's nice to have you confirm. :)

I got bra from another user (possibly WildWolf?) a while back. I had lost weight and was maybe 15lbs lighter then so this bra fits much differently a year or so later. I havnt had luck with some other curvy Kate bras, Often with wires being too wide/cups being too shallow but this one’s not bad. It does cut in, more so on my larger side, so I think a 28GG or 30G might fit better (barring any issues like too tall wires at the gore) Not a perfect fit and maybe a little shallower than I need, but still a comfortable bra I have in rotation.
