I love this bra. I've been wanting one for so long.
I wonder, maybe measurements can be added for top, center, and bottom of cups sometime in the future? I think it would make measurements a lot more consistent.
For this, I've been wanting a Dessous ever since I joined Bratabase. Maybe just a little before.
I had always read how they run about a cup small, and while I can personally somewhat agree, I mostly disagree.
At least as far as mine went, it had 9" depth in the top of the cups. Generally, I've noticed that wire length matches the deepest area of the cups on many bras.
As the ... cups go downward, there is -1" per..I don't know, I forgot to measure that. But basically the center of the cup was about 8", give or take, and bottom was 7", give or take.
This is exactly the type of thing I wanted to illustrate with my blog, but I just haven't been able to find the time to take measurement pictutes and write out such lengthy reviews, so hopefully this will suffice.
I really, really wanted to keep this regardless of the little bit of upper wrinkling. I've lost A LOT of upper tissue, so the 30E just didn't work for me. I have a feeling that a 30DD would have enough upper space, but be somewhat too shallow on bottom, so there's that problem, but I'd still love to try one in that size.. and you know, I'd probably still keep it too because I love this model lol.
I couldn't keep the 30E because I'm losing weight and I might as well not put more wear into something that I'm going to need to sell after I lose about 5-10 more pounds.https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
I do think, if you have more malleable tissue, and are more round as opposed to conical or tuberous, you may want to consider sizing up..just because of the small amount of space on bottom. I feel like for someone rounder, the tops may cut in with your tissue being pushed upwards.
However for me, my tissue is malleable but tuberous and I just can't fill the tops.
As far as the rest of the bra goes, the straps are fully adjustable, the gore is good for closer set tissue, wires were narrow, and overall it's just such a lovely bra.
I'd recommend the Dessous to someone just mildly fuller on top. If you're more even, tubey or conical, consider going with your usual size. Someone FoT or rounder, possibly consider sizing up.
