This bra fits better in this size than the 80D I had before. It has the bit of extra width that makes this comfortable to wear all day. The fabric on this one (blue) seems less scratchy than the fabric on my old one (red). The band is very snug for a 75, it feels more like my 32 Cleos. Gives a nice lift and looks very sexy indeed.
I grabbed this bra at my local Nordstrom on a whim. I went to try on strapless bras but this one caught my eye and I thought I'd try it on since I've never tried this brand before. The first one I grabbed was a UK 34E on the label, and it was too big. This one reads UK 34DD and it fits perfectly. I'm a bit full on top, so I get a lot of bras cutting in along the top of my breasts (like the Fantasie strapless I tried on...ugh). This one fits really nicely. It also accommodates the immediate bottom projection I've got, ...which another common issue I have with the shape of bras. The only other bra I've found that fits this well is the Cleo Lucy (5851) and other sister cuts of that bra. This one is definitely going to be a frequent wear for me, and it's black so it's easy to match! AND I ordered a decent strapless bra in the same trip. There's nothing quite like the feeling of a successful day of bra shopping. Read more 79 more words
I've only worn this bra for a full day twice. The first time, by the end of the day I had it on the tightest hook (of 4 sets) and I was sure it was going to come off. The second time, I had it on the second hook and it felt great all day. Very confusing.
The bra is fine. Boring beige, but solid material, silicone on the band to help keep it up, generally good quality. Thicker band with 4 rows of hooks makes it feel more sturdy.
The fit of this bra is passable, but not perfect. The cups are too big, but because of the high cut, it's not noticeable. The band is fairly snug as I expect of Chantelle soft cups, but I think it would work better for me a band size down - it's fitting slightly loose on the smallest hook. A 70DD would probably be perfect! The bra itself is cute - I like the webbed lace pattern, and the pattern is interesting despite being a solid colour.
1. Band is comfortable on my 32ish" torso. 2. Cups are ever-so-slightly too small after swooping and scooping (noted by small amount of quad-boob). 3. Gore is nice and low and narrow - this fits well in this area. This is important to me because my breasts are close-set, so higher gores of normal widths cause visible indentations in my cleavage and are super annoying to me. However, I think I need more immediate projection at the center. 4. A little too wide under the arms, initially, but after fiddling with the wires a bit, the new width fits much better. 5. After wearing the bra for a bit, the cups slide down in the front, causing the underwire to dig into my rib cage and then causing quad-boob. I believe this means that I need more immediate projection at the base of the cup.
First things first: this bra doesn't fit. The band is fine, but it's definitely a cup size too small, which is a given, as I am an F cup wearing an E cup.
Aside from that, it's actually a very comfortable wear. I can wear it for about 8 hours at a stretch, currently. the part that annoys me the most is the wires, and I suspect it would irritate me even if I was wearing my proper size. They're too short on the our edge, so they keep stabbing my breast tissue.
This bra is really nice and my best-fitting one, but it does give a slightly not-round shape under clothing (on me it's a little bit of a minimizing effect). It's also a bra that's mostly lace--not much to it, fabric-wise. Because it's so light it's nice for summer, and it looks really fancy.
Before I sized out of it, this was definitely my best-fitting bra. The wires never poked; the fabric never itched; I basically felt like I wasn't wearing a bra, which is a major compliment in my book! Even now, with the cup two sizes too small, it's still a very comfortable wear.
I really only have two criticisms: the band has a tendency to stretch a lot, which isn't my favorite, as I like tighter bands, and the nude color is more tan. On someone as pale as me, it's impossible to wear under a white shirt and convincingly meld.
I ordered this bra as an exchange for the Chantelle Rive Gauche 3-part Cup. The gore on that bra was too high and separate for me, so I tried this plunge. I really want to like it, but I think that it's just not right for my shape. (Thank you, Bratabase, for teaching me more about what that means!)
If you like a firmer band, this bra has one. Bratabase overall has it listed as "stretchy," but that hasn't been my experience. To me, it feels quite firm and a bit small, so consider sizing up. The straps are tricky to adjust because they are ridge-y, but once they're ...adjusted... they're adjusted. They're also angled in the back so they stay on the shoulders nicely. I *love* the straps, so it's too bad that nothing else about this bra quite works.
The cups are thin, lined, and nicely made, although less soft than the Rive Gauche lace. They feel more synthetic, if that makes sense. The wires (as usual) feel just a bit too low and narrow for me, and the cups look orange-in-a-glass wrinkled at the bottom unless I adjust over and over again. No problems with center spillage or the top edges of the cups, although I rarely have those concerns. The short gore tacks and has a pretty little charm, and while I'd say it's a plain bra overall, the scalloped lace and charm are nice details.
(I'll probably list this bra, so if you adore it and and are looking for a very lightly worn one, contact me and I'll be happy to swap.) Read more 157 more words
I loved this bra when I first bought it. It was comfortable, it didn't show through shirts. It feels like quality. After a year of it being my only non-sports bra (I lost two others to the Great Dog Chew of 2012), it has seen the end. I've had to wash it more often, so it's started losing its shape. It's uncomfortable (as in my back starts to hurt) after a few hours, so I can't wear it to work. I pull it down to make my back feel better, but that doesn't help. I hope once I find some new college student budget friendly bras, I can retire this one.
