Wow. This bra is beautiful. It's a wonderfully deep plunge and just a joy to wear; it is very comfortable. I was recommended a Chantelle due to my need of a narrow centre gore. This does have a very nice narrow centre gore and while I am truly in love with this bra it does have issues. These issues are not enough to make me regret buying this bra however I probably won't purchase another one.
Now in my research before trying on and purchasing this bra I found very conflicting stories. Most seem to say the bands ran big. Well, this hasn't been my experience at all. The ...band on this bra runs small. The unstretched band on this bra is only 22.75" which squarely puts it in the average length for a UK 28 band, not the 30/65 it is labeled. Others claimed the bands to be stretchy yet the band on this bra is quite firm IMO. I've worn this bra a few times already and it still shows no signs of stretching out quickly. I've also read the cups ran small and again I disagree. This bra is labeled as follows: FRA 80F, EUR 65F, ITA 1F, UK 30E, USA 30DDD. For a bra labeled as a UK 30E I find the cup to be consistent with standard UK bra cups.
Now for the other issues. I require narrow underwires and deep cups. Well these cups aren't deep, I find them to be relatively shallow; not Panache shallow but still a tad more shallow than Curvy Kate. The underwires on this bra are confusing. I cannot say the underwires are wide because they aren't. The ends of the underwire on the sides sit in the right spot. However the curve of the underwires out from the sides run too deep. I have narrow boobs so there ends up being this little crescent shaped area in the cup where I can't fill it because my boobs are more angular than round. It's not the bra sitting too low since the underwires imprints clearly show that at the bottom the underwire is sitting right under tissue. It just curves out too much in between those two points. This is much more defined on my smaller left boob than it is on my right. This really is by no means a deal breaker since this issue isn't even remotely bad enough to show through clothing.
The profile of this bra is quite round/minimised IMO. It is a nice even all around shape though unlike Panache which puts the fullest point of my boob about an inch below my nipple. While the cups on this bra are shallow it doesn't create quad boob on the inside of the cups like Panache did as well. While this round/minimised shape is not my preferred shape, it doesn't look bad at all. This shaping does have it's place and will come quite in handy for some of the few button front shirts I do have.
The plunge front is very deep and will work very well for a deep v-neck or those button shirts that I like to leave the top buttons undone. However, this is not a cleavage inducer. Despite the deep plunge it keeps my boobs quite separated and stops them from jiggling.
Overall, again this bra is beautiful, useful and very comfortable; there is no place where I get pain from the underwires. I just would have liked more side support, more projection and a bit more angular wire on the outer sides of the underwires. Read more 486 more words
Struck out again with this one. It's a French size H, but a UK FF, and since I fit some other UK FFs, I figured this one would be great. So wrong! The cups are way too big for me - well, big in some respects but not in others. The depth seems to be almost a match. It's maybe a touch roomy, and there is excess volume particularly around the outer perimeter of the cups. I have more "torpedo" shaped boobs, so I have a lot of forward projection but only a modest amount of volume in all other dimensions. ...The nipple area is filled out but there is wrinkling in the cup in around all the edges. However, my main issue with the fit of this bra is the wires. They extend almost a full inch beyond where my breast tissue ends, and they also seem to be situated too low for my boobs. It's totally wasted space. The straps aren't designed in such a way that they're cutting too badly into my armpits, but it's still definitely at least a cupsize too large.
Style-wise, it's a really nice bra even though it's beige! (I think after the ugly beige bras of my youth I was hesitant to try this one, but to be fair there is nothing like a beige bra to disappear under clothing, and my wardrobe has been in need of something closer to my skintone than teal or black. >_<) The shape it creates is rounded but natural and really flattering. The mesh is very soft and very structured - unlike my beloved Claudette Paramour Underwire Bra (101015008) , this mesh has virtually no stretch. I like the subtle pattern on the cups and the lacy trim all around. It's got enough details to be really pretty and not just another beige bra. Considering how much I like it despite its fit issues, I think it may be worth it to try this bra a cup size down. I have tried the 32F, and now the 32H, so perhaps the 32G is my sweet spot in Chantelle. Read more 266 more words
The shape of the cups just don't really work for me. I am shallow and somewhat FoB. There was a bunch of bunchy fabric in the front and top of the cups, suggesting that it's better for more projected shapes. The top did lay against my boobs though and the wire width was fine. I'm going to stick to the 3646 version.
I fell in love with the look of this bra since my first Nordstrom trip. It's simple, but gorgeous. My initial try was a 32D, which cut into my tall boobs. Second try was a 30D(wasn't my idea lol),30DD, and 30DDD. Same issue. So, as far as shallowness goes, I guess I'm not as shallow as I thought. This bra seems like it'd be great for someone who is shallow and needs wide wires. As for semi-tuberous/conical girls(I'm not alone right?), this one didn't work out too well. The size fits as far as depth, but the width of the wires is really wide. The biggest problem I think is the shape of the wires, which are ...like, well, a shallow bowl. Surprisingly, I think I meed more rounded, less shallow, and somewhat more narrow wires. Other than wires, the band on this particular bra seems longer than other Chantelles that I've tried in this model. I've read others say the bands run big, but some experience what I do when I've tried them on im stores and say they're snug. If you're picky about your bands, I'd suggest probably buying in store as opposed to online.
Fabrics are all around very lovely and comfortable. Inner cups are very smooth. It gives a somewhat perkier shape, as I normally experience with this type of cup. Straps are really pretty (ok, I'm a sucker for straps. Am I alone here too? ) but they seem very wide. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the bigger band. Perhaps I should've gone down a band and up a cup instead of just up a cup. Overall, very pretty bra, comfortable, feels very supportive, gives a nice shape, but I think this is really made for someone a bit shallower with a wider root perhaps.
When I saw this bra I thought that it was so chic and elegant that I knew that I wanted to buy it. I know its out of the usual bra sizes that I wear but I decided to go for it. I don't regret this purchase for one second. I love the fit and comfort of this bra. It just works on me. If there is one thing that I have learned its that when you have shallow and asymmetrical breasts that bras have a tendency to fit you when you would think they otherwise wouldn't. I bought this bra from another user.
I love the shape and lift of this bra and overall it fits well and is super comfortable. As is commonly a problem for me, the sides tend to dig into my armpits and I wish the wire was a bit shorter and narrower.
I promised myself I wouldn't buy another bra in 2016 but here I am. I just can't go past a bra shop. I decided to buy this one because I don't have a nude unlined bra yet. The colour is a medium white-person-nude, slightly darker than my natural skin tone. It reminds me of coffee with a lot of milk. The cup has lace on it with little "C"s on it, I find it quite cute.
The gore is relatively low and quite narrow, but thanks to the side support no problem for my relatively wide-set breast. It has a little bow with another C-letter, this one with rhinestones.
All in all, the cup fits very well. There's a bit of wrinkling here and there but nothing major. And a strap gap as usual. The shape of the cup is a bit rounder than I like it, closer to Cleo than to Freya but not quite like my 32F - Cleo » Kali Balconnet Bra (7561). The band seems to be true to size.
This is a very pretty bra. I bought it after seeing it on my Bratabase recommendation list. It fits but it is not perfect. I usually wear 32G (UK) and my best fitting bras are full cup. This one is a plunge bra, so the gore is lower than what I am used to.
Band: looser than most 32 bands, but I fell like the 3 hooks at the back add a little more support Straps: not too wide set, they are also very pretty Wires: they are quite wide, which is what I need. The do not poke of chafe at the armpit. Gore: It almost tacks... well, it ...tacks on my smaller side. On my bigger side, it sits a little bit on my breast tissue, not perfect but still comfortable. Cups: I suppose they are big for 32FF. Beautiful rounded shape. The cup fits well on my smaller boob, but there is a very small quad-boob on my bigger side. Its a lower cut than ful-cup bras, but I believe it higher than most other plunge.
Overall, if this bra came in a UK 30GG, I would buy a dozen! Even if the fit is not the best for my side, I will keep wearing this bra.
EDIT: After wearing it for two full days, this bra is not so good. After a couple of hours, it 'slides down', laying too low. the underwires sit below my IMF, leaving empty fabric at the bottom of the cup. Also, the low wire of the gore pokes my biggest breats.
Overall the band is too big, feels like a 34. There is not enough projection for me.
Edit 2: Narrowing the gore changes the fit a lot. No more poking and a little less quad-boob. This also makes the band a little bit tighter. Read more 191 more words
This bra is fantastic. Bought today at Nordstrom's, and I can't wait to put it in my regular rotation. I almost got it in a 30G (US - or a 30F UK, which is my usual size), but I found that the slightly roomier cup of the 32H (32FF in UK sizing) works a little better for my inner fullness. So, down to brass tacks:
The fit is like a dream. The 32 band is ever so slightly larger than I'd like, but that's to be expected in a sister size. I would say it runs true to size; the 30 band was a better ...fit, but I had to size up for right fit in the cup. I can wear the 32 on the loosest hook, but I think the second hook is more supportive fit. The cups give a nicely rounded and slightly minimized shape, but the plunge provides just enough cleavage with a low-cut top. Demure and inviting at the same time - love it! The cups are also quite close-set, which is perfect for me, but I can see how it might be problematic for those with a wider root. I would be really happy if I could just take the wires on this bra and make them the wires for every other bra I have. They're exactly the right width for my narrow-but-not-really-narrow shape (I guess it's average? What I definitely know is that Curvy Kate wires are comfy but a little too wide to be properly supportive, but the Chantelle wires are just wide enough without making the cups fold over the wire). The lace makes it sexy, but it's practically invisible under my clothes (including thin t-shirts and a poly-blend dress recently bought), so it's perfect for everyday wear or special occasions. I splurged for the matching knickers, too, and the set is amazingly comfy and sexy.
This is, however, a review based on my fitting in-store and at home. Once I've worn it a couple times in real life, I'll have a more realistic idea of the fit and longevity, but I'm very excited about this bra and have high hopes for its performance. (please, oh please don't let it be a dud!) Read more 277 more words
I first bought this bra in my sister size, a 32DDD, in the nude/beige and fell in love with it then. My only complaint was that the band was a tad too big for me. So I knew the 30F would fit like a glove...and it is a PERFECT fit! I bought it in the black in the 30F, and laid it on top of my 32DDD, just for kicks, and the band is MUCH shorter and the cups are about half an inch deeper.
I first tried the bra on the loosest hook and loosened the straps completely. It didn't feel right in the cups and the ...band still felt too loose (I normally wear a 28). So I just went straight to the tightest setting (since this bra unfortunately doesn't come in a 28) and I tightened the straps about an inch and a half and voila! Perfection! I've had this bra on now for about 30 minutes and it is so comfy, haven't had to readjust and the band has stayed in place. I absolutely LOVE this bra!!! This is, by far, my fav unlined bra! Everything fits me just right! I feel like it was made for my girls https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Usually, most unlined bras give me a very awkward, unnatural shape, even with a breast augmentation. But this bra is different somehow. It makes the girls look fabulous under clothes!! It gives a very nice, lifted, rounded shape without all the padding or hard, stiff moulded cups. It is a bit stiff and does feel somewhat "starchy" but I'm sure a wash or two will take care of that. I added a ton of pics under my profile of how nice this bra looks under a tank top. I highly recommend this bra if you're trying to find a good unlined bra with a great, NOT pointy, shape! I feel it is very true to size https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Update: after wearing this bra for a few hours yesterday, I'm not sure why but it felt too tight. The top part of the cups were digging in a bit and I had a smidgen of quad boob going on. Could just be that I'm pms-ing and the girls are a little swollen right now. But I couldn't wear it all day cuz it was too uncomfortable. When I took it off I had a perfect outlined red mark of the entire bra! Esp at the gore. I guess I'll have to try again at a different time of the month https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> Read more 331 more words
