This was my first properly fitted bra. I bought it sometime after my first child was born and wore it almost daily until I was done nursing my third child, 5 years later. During that time the bra held up surprisingly well. The underwires did eventually poke out, but I used moleskin to tape them back in, and they held until I eventually retired the bra when I finished nursing.
It was so comfortable and supportive, and the stretchy lace accommodated the frequent size changes my breasts went through during those years. The lace was pretty and looked discreet beneath clothing. The lace also made me feel pretty, which was something I really needed at that time in my life.
though it is too shallow and wide for me, it is a work horse that creates a nice shape under clothes and has held up really well over time and is quite comfortable depite an only okay fit
The bottom of the cups wrinkle, the center of the bra cuts into my breast tissue, it wrinkles up near the straps, and the cups are too wide for me. Just not a perfect fit.
The cups on this bra were ridiculously wide and shallow. I'm slightly wide and shallow, and it was still too extreme for me. Also, I think the cup size runs small compared to other brands. I'm not sure that the quality is quite what I expect, since the underwires seem less sturdy.
This is a really good fit for me, when I sized up one cup size. The tag is marked cupsize I in all different sizing systems, and it confused me a little bit. I am normally a UK 30FF (best fit in a Fantasie Rebecca), and since the EU conversion of that reads 65H, I would say that this bra runs small in the cups.
The band is true to size, and the lace is very stretchy, so quadding is not a problem. The shape is rounded and minimized, but not in that wierd and unflattering frisbee way. Its more up and close to the body than smushed and wide!
i bought this used off of the BraSwap sub on reddit. she said "28ff? change bra (the bra doesn't have any label but I think it fits like a 28ff, small rip on the side)" i think its tighter than a 28 *but* i usually wear a 30, and the 28's i wear w/an extender for 1 or 2 extra columns. this barely fit w/the extender on the loosest on me. there IS A SMALL RIP, so please see picture. the straps seems to be "multi-way" since they can unhook from the band, and, from the top half of the straps.
My typical size in Change is 65E, so go up in both band and cup.
This is a very, very soft and smooth bra that is very sleek and comfortable to touch. There is a small amount of lace at the top, but it's not itchy at all. The side seams have boning, which would be excellent for people who need it.
Got 2 of these last summer after losing a lot of weight. Saleslady fitted me at 32E and insisted I wear a 32 band although most of the bras she had me try in 32 E were way too tight to breathe. This one was good on the fit and I got one in red and one in black. I was probably around 32-33 inch underbust and 36/37 overbust at the time and was otherwise wearing a 34C of la senza/la vie en rose.
Im very sad they dont fit anymore as they were very comfortable
I wanted to reserve the rest of my reviews for my blog (after, if and when I get my things unpacked at new place https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":p" />), but I don't...know.lol I don't like this enough to spend over an hour reviewing/photographing/measuring every inch of it, etc.(I will add the measurements on here, but was trying to do a little more with the bras on my blog). If anyone wants more info on it, I will give a crazy in depth review, upon request.
This is lavender, which is one of my favorite colors, so love that. The material of the cups is very soft and plushy, and ...I really like that also. If this bra was made with narrower wires and slightly more projected cups, I'd probably be fine with it. Or at least not hating it so much. I am actually thinking the band may be the issue, as the cup depth and width looks fine on me without the band stretched. The wires bend very easily with just a little stretch, and the band is very stretchy. I'd assume it'd stretch to 29" at least, maybe 30/31" tops. I suspect that just has to do with this seeming to be a pretty broken in bra. I had expected that, and don't mind it. I just hadn't anticipated the stretchy wires.
The gore distance is close enough for me, straps are long enough, gore tacks. The cup shape is one that typically doesn't work for me. It's a bit of a demi I guess. Demis aren't very compatible with my shape, I'm not sure why. I've noticed this in all my demi bras; they tend to cut in at the top, be too wide, and too shallow. Interestingly I don't have the same issue with (true) half cups. I do believe this is made worse by the stretchiness of the wire, which causes me to spill in the cups.
So..yep. I'm not sure what else to add. I think this would work well for someone with a 27-28" ribcage who doesn't mind a stretchy band. Also someone who just needs semi wide cups- as I said, without the band sttetching the wires, they don't actually appear to be that wide. And I'd guess someone who is between shallow and average projection. Or, a 29-31" ribcage who wouldn't mind the cups stretching, wide wires, and shallower cups.
I'm actually a little sad this didn't work for me. I'm trying to add more practical, simple bras to my collection. I do love the color and I like the soft, pillowy feel of the cups-they aren't that material like VS Body bras that are super soft but make you sweat. I have a feeling this would be a decent summer bra. Plushy but breathable. I'd be interested to see if a 32D would be any different, considering I have a feeling any stretch would widen the cups too much in this model..though I honestly wouldn't be too interested in spending any more money on trying models that aren't Polish after this one. Lol That's enough of that, Alicia, get your act together. Only Polish. And maybe a little Freya and Masquerade and Cleo and some other things. But mostly only Polish.
Edit: Measured. The band stretches to 28.5 without distorting the wires, and 29.5 completely, with the wires very distorted. So the band is very stretchy, but not without altering the wires. That'd probably explain the horrible fit on me. My ribcage measurement has gone down some, but I believe I'm messuring 27.5 tight, 28.5 snug. The band is 28.5, but I either need a 28.5" band with very sturdy wires, or a 29-30" band. So that solves that https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":p" />
I love this bra! The cups are padded in a great way, which gives me a very nice and round shape. It may not be so much push-up as its name promises, but the bust definetely looks fuller in a very natural way. It is totally comfortable to wear for hours, since it doesn't have take-out pads, but a very soft material all over the cup. Nevertheless, there are a few things about this bra that annoy a little. Firstly, the straps are very thin, thicker ones would have surely improved the push-up effect of this bra. Secondly, the band gets very long in time, after using it approx. ...40 times, mine got pretty lose. Still, it doesn't move up so much on the back, as for thridly, the straps tend to get longer throughout the day. Sadly, I don't think I can keep on wearing this bra for ages, because the cup on the left, where my boob is slightly smaller, is getting deformed, the fabric on the inside seems to expand and push out, especially near the straps. Yet, it is one of my favorite bras, nearly perfect with tight tops and dresses. Read more 85 more words
It is great for people who are shallow, broad rooted, tall rooted. Band fits true to size, as do cups. Fantastic all around bra, I wish it came in more colors.
Just for general information purposes: the Tactel range has been discontinued (they're still some items available through the Change webshop, so snap them up while they last ;) ) and replaced by the Jasmine. I have only tried the seamed "padded" versions of both Tactel and Jasmine and they are quite different, in terms of both construction and fit.
