  1. B.wow'd Push Up Bra (958187)

Short roots, center full, close set, somewhat narrow, omega shape, projected, and soft...

After trying 200+ bras and waiting two months for each special order bra, I was desperate. Desperate for one wired bra I could wear for more than two hours without my lymph nodes screaming ("pins and needles" sensation in my armpit). My wireless bras are fantastic, but sometimes I need more support than they offer. This is it! Eureka! Hallelujah.

Previously, I had tried this bra in Blithe (aqua), and the band was too long. Shortening the band caused the somewhat sharp cup edge to abrade my arm pit. Knowing black dyes require higher temperatures, I hoped ... the Black model of this bra would present a smaller band that wouldn't require an alteration. I'm thankful for black bras https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

This is what I appreciate about B.wow'd bra:
    1. Very low and narrow gore--both characteristics are essential for a bra to fit me
    2. Room for center-full breasts at both the top and bottom of the gore
    3. Foam encapsulated, flexible underwires
    4. Enough padding that I don't instinctively cover my chest to protect my very sensitive nipples.
    5. Tolerates projected breasts
    6. Soft fabric
    7. Rounded, smooth profile under thin knits
    8. Seamless
    9. $20
    10. Immediately available
    11. Graduated padding

    Detractions
    1. Limited cup sizes. I'm wearing a 36DD because a 30FF is not available
    2. Narrow Straps (.4" )
    3. 2x3 Fasteners
    4. Somewhat sharp cup edge
    5. Cup wrinkles easily

Although this bra is recommended for the wide set and shallow community, I can strongly recommend it for the close set, center full, short-rooted community as well. And, I would have never discovered it without Bratabase. <3 Discontinued and available for a steal on Amazon and Ebay.

Wilderness1 It is wonderful that it looks nice under a t-shirt because I live in t-shirts :-) :-)

    • 2

Oh - I'll have to try this in black! Great idea. I always wish this came in a few more sizes, sad that altering it didn't help for you.

Looks great, and more importantly it isn't hurting you!

    • annabellynn The black stretches 1" shorter than Blithe. And, it was your comment on a post that helped me find this. Thank you!! No more bisected-by-wire, sad boobs thanks to you :-) :-)

Yes; I thought I had posted this earlier, and then didn't see it. So I posted again and my first post came up, but no edit/delete options. Must be a glitch in The Force today. ;)

Never have I wanted a push-up bra. Now, I find myself the proud owner of several. My close set, center full breasts do not accommodate wires. For lift and nipple armor, I began wearing lined (padded), wireless bras. These were comfortable until the cups collapsed and the band would bite. Plus, such bras are rarely available in 30FF, my preferred cup size. I theorized push-up padding may help alleviate the biting sensation when the wireless cups, inevitability, collapsed. So far, this hypothesis is correct.

B.Splendid creates "butt crack cleavage." The world will never see mine, but this bra ... will allow one to flaunt their assets. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> Also, it is important to note the cup edge is closed. This is the feature that causes me a bit of quadding. I reversed swoop and scoop to reduce quadding. If you have tall roots, size up. The cups fit well on my short-waisted frame but may pose a problem for those who have taller roots. For taller users, the straps are fully adjustable and several inches longer than I anticipated.

B.Splendid is similar to Warner's Play it Cool Wirefree (http://www.bratabase.com/browse/warners/play-it-cool-wirefree-rn3281a/ ). The cup and band are made of soft microfiber and the cups have a push-up pad in the bottom. This is where the similarities end.

B.Splendid has a non-stretch band under the cups. The wings and the back of the band, however, are elastic. This provides significantly more support than Play It Cool's 100% stretchy band.

B.Splendid's push-up pad is....graduated and mountainous. Never did I think I would appreciate such a big piece of foam. It is a wall that keeps my soft tissue from slinking into my armpits. Play It Cool has a small knoll in the bottom of its cup. Giggle. Although my tissue wanders into my armpit while wearing Play It Cool, B.Splendid keeps the girls front and center.

    I would appreciate wider straps and 3x3 fasteners. But, who am I kidding....this is a push-up bra. @Wacoal, there is a market for supportive push-up bras. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

Edit: Spent 7 hours at the zoo and park in this bra and the cup never collapsed. It stood tall when even wired bras painfully collapse--driving an automobile. I do not like the mass of foam, but this bra holds me front and center in absolute comfort. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

That's an impressive bra. All I owned before finding ABTFs was push up bras, but they fit terribly...not even close to my size or shape. Are you finding the band loose in these?

    • 1

      Very pretty on you!!

    • Wilderness1 The band is providing virtually no support because of its length (34" stretched), but somehow it stays put and prevents my soft tissue from moving into my armpits. It is likely the combination of the non-stretch front and stretchy sides that provides some stability. Pleasant surprise. :-)

Another bra for my list. Thanks! Still planning to grab the Wacoal How Perfect wire free bra too.

      Love the color!

Love4Pollinators well I'm glad that it's comfortable for you, and it looks great on you!

Cappuccino has the tightest band: stretching to 33".
    Black band stretches to 34".
    Blithe band stretches to 35".

Dimensionally, Blithe did not fit well enough to keep, but Cappuccino with its 2" shorter band fits best of the three colors. This is one wired bra I can wear for a few hours without intense discomfort. All other bras in my wardrobe are wireless. The other wired bras I, literally, never wear.

Outstanding bra for my close-set, center-full, short breasts! But, I'd prefer an option for close-set, center-full, short-waisted people that doesn't involve a lump of padding.

    Didn't fit

Short roots, projected, slightly narrow, center full, close set....

After finding the 34DD cup uncomfortably small, I purchased the 36DD. The pain I was experiencing in the 34DD is not present in the 36DD. The band is several inches too large, but my sewing machine is ready for the band shortening task. When the straps are crossed, the band's size is a glaring detraction: the crossed straps improve the lift and centering significantly. When the band is shortened, I'll experience more lift without the straps crossed, too. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

Wire haters: these wires are padded and ... difficult to see as well as feel. The padded wires coupled with the push-up pad move my sensitive tissue up and away from irritating wires. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> This is critical to my comfort in a wired bra.

For me, this fit is similar to the Ewa Michalak 3D. There is space for center fullness, projection, and close-set breasts. I prefer wider straps and 3x4 fasteners, but those are the characteristics that endear me to Comexim. Those who like "less bra" will appreciate the narrow straps and 2x3 fasteners.

For a few dollars from Amazon, I recieved a bra presenting a rounded and centered shape under tight knits that rivals Freya Deco. Better yet, I can't feel the wires. I'm thrilled with this bra. Proudly, I will wear my fitted t-shirts https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

    Off to shorten the band...

Edit: I temporarily shortened the band. When shortened, the sharp edge abrades my tail of spence. Sigh. This bra was SO comfortable....until the band fit. Ugh.

I bought this on a whim, wondering if I might be able get some "cakes on a plate" cleavage, but no. This is nowhere near my size, so I'll just review some basics of the bra. It's a plain tee shirt bra in appearance with nothing fancy to show through a snug shirt. It's a pushup so the padding in the bottom of the cup is very thick. It almost seemed ridiculously thick to me but I'm not accustomed to pushup padding. The upper edge of the cup is scalloped for some pretty detailing. The straps are narrow elastic and super stretchy so no support is offered there. I was surprised at the gore. It's very low because it's a plunge, but it seemed unnecessarily wide at over an inch of cup separation at the narrowest point. I think if there is any center fullness, it would be difficult to remain in these cups. The quality of materials seems very nice.

After hiking comfortably in the Dark Grey color, I purchased a second B.Splendid. With the exception of B.Wow'd, gore wires are not working for me: too much pain and swelling. However, B.Splendid's wall of foam prevented the cup from collapsing and kept my breasts out of my arm pits during the hour long hike while providing complete comfort. Literally, this is all I require from a bra. Not only was I comfortable, but the shape under a t-shirt is round.

Although I appreciate the foam's support, I would like a wireless, no foam cup that doesn't collapse . Someday.. However, I'm loosing interest, patience, and money in this ABTF journey (this is the 239th bra I've added to Bratabase and there have been others). So, that day may never come.

I have FOB, narrow yet tall roots, and almost pendulous breasts. Most of the time, I can fill the bottom of a bra but leave a ton of gapping in the top, or the sides are too wide and high to be comfortable. This bra fits me near perfect. I have a touch of gapping on my smaller breast, but nothing horrible. I've been measured to wear a 36DDD/E, but with my shape and soft tissue I don't always fill them well. For this I went down to a 36DD and it was exactly what I needed. Very comfortable to wear, doesn't dig into me, keeps my breasts front and center, and very pretty to wear. The band is a little stretchy, so if you prefer a tighter fit you might need to go down a band size.

Measured myself as a 36E in UK sizing, so I got this in a 36DD US size and it is great so far (I wore 36B for years, never realizing that shallow does not mean small!). It took a few days to get used to the new size, but it is extremely comfortable and doesn't poke anywhere. My shape is shallow with a wide root. My only complaint is the fabric sits higher than I'm used to under the arms and at the gore, so it does peek out under some sleeveless shirts.
