*Size*: Band runs a little bit small so sister size up one band.
I had to go from my normal 28E to a 30DD in this bra, because the band is a bit smaller and less stretchy than most I have encountered, though the cups are true to size.

*Fit*: Great for shallow/FOB or equal/pointy/far apart/narrow shoulder boobs. Probably bad for FOT/narrow/close together/saggy boobs.
Though I get a *TINY TINY TINY* quadboob on top, it is entirely unoticeable unless I run my hand along the area very carefully and it actually helps the upper edge to stick and stay invisible under shirts. The gore tacks perfectly to my sternum, though be ... prepared for this bra to sit a bit low since it has about a 1/2 inch of stiff material that extends below the underwire. This feature is actually helpful since it keeps the cups from folding over and getting caught in your fat rolls when you lean over, and it preserves the smooth line of the cup and provides a place to anchor strong elastic. The sides of the cups and the straps are PERFECT for my narrow shoulders, but the sides come up far enough to contain my wide boobs. The push up is great for someone like me, but would not be great for someone who has boobs that are heavy on the top or nipples that stick out frontwards or upwards when bare. My nipples always want to point out to the sides, and as it is the push up padding in this bra bring them right front and center.

    *Comfort*: Very comfortable
Probably my most comfy one yet. It doesn't shift, it doesn't itch or irritate, it doesn't stab me, and it doesn't make me feel like I'm walking around with boob-shields (a common problem I run into with push-ups). I could see this becoming my everyday bra. However, I still hate that padded bras are so freaking hot.

*Quality*: Three tiny steps away from perfect.
Overall, it is a beautifully made bra. The fabric is bonded to the cups and the rest of the bra, which creates a very smooth, high-quality appearance. The cups hold their shape very well and the hooks and latches are well-sewn. All the elastic is high-quality and thick, will definitely last. The push up padding is thoughtfully placed and not stupid, and the tops of the cups feel secure despite having no seams. The foam is REALLY good quality, will never break down. BUT: 1) Instead of a tag it has wording printed on the inside of the band. Many might enough this feature for comfort, I find this annoying because it eventually wears away and one is left with an orphan bra. 2) Plastic underwires. GAH. They may be more flexible and comfy, but that means they are more flexible, more breakable, less bendable, and less long-lasting. 3) Detachable straps have crappy hooks/are incredibly difficult to detach and reattach. So, not only are the hooks badly designed and made of a flimsy-feeling plastic, they're pretty much useless because they are so tightly anchored in the little loops.

*Appearance*: Pretty good for a casual bra
Compared to its sisters like Cleo bras, this bra is pretty boring. But considering its incredible smoothness and the pretty colors and nice details like the scalloped edge, its a pretty dang good looking bra.

    *Stretch*: Moderate stretch
Stretches enough, but not much because of the very stiff no-show fabric. I am okay with this. Thats why I went a band up.

    *Wear*:
    Will update.

    *Bottom Line*:
Great bra, definitely my favorite ever-day for tshirts, tanks, cotton dresses, and the like.

I love this bra! I think it is much prettier than it looked online and so flattering on me (which is extremely unusual)! I'm dealing with wide-set, average to wide short roots, upper deflation with some lower projection, very soft. I think this bra is actually the best fit I have found, so far and it is definitely my current favorite! YAY!!!

The flexible, soft cups seem to be somewhat uniquely shaped and it works well for me (but I can see why it wouldn't work for everyone.) I think I generally fit more like a 28DD/30D, but in this model, the 30DD is where it's at. It's ... slightly big, as I have a tiny bit of gaping at the top edge of the cup, but it honestly quite minimal and the lace trim helps hide it. It still looks and feels beautiful.

I want to say the cups run somewhat small, except they are kind of stretchy and I think that it would actually fit true to size if it is the right shape for you. It is not quite as shallow as I thought from the pictures. It actually gives me more forward projection than I expected and a nice lifted, rounded shape. The wings are tall enough to give me the side support I need and the lightly padded cups provide shaping without being too rigid. The band feels true to size. Although a little bit squeaky, the cups and band are so comfortable!

The thin double straps are pretty and feel OK on me, but I can see how they might not be comfortable for people with heavier breasts. (I don't know if they are wider on larger sizes). They don't have any stretch so they do dig in to my shoulders a little. They are also unusually short. While they fit my 5'1 frame, I have to make them almost as long as they can go. The gore is on the wider side (around 1 inch width), so it's going to better fit people with some space between their boobs.

It is worth noting that the 30D, which I also tried in the same colorway, seems like almost a different bra. Something about it seems disproportionate to me. I need short cups, but those were way too short. The cups were definitely too small and gave me serious quad boob, so while I think the DD might be true to size, I think the D runs small. Which is odd. The wings weren't high enough. If I had tried the 30D first, I never would have tried a different size, because it really was that different and I didn't like it at all, even before I put it on. In contrast, I fell in love with the 30DD as soon as I opened the package!

    • I love the color! It looks great!!
I had some weird issue with the sizing too- I tried on a 30C in red and got major quadboob, so I went to a 30D in black and it was much too large for me. I wonder if a 30D in red would fit me better? I love this bra - it's so pretty. I really hope that I can find a size that fits. Maybe I need a 28D?

I'm a 28e, somewhat shallow, with tall roots, and wide rooted. This bra is great for my shape. The band is actually tight enough in a 30dd.
I love that the cups are a one piece foam, instead of cut and sew, whose seams I sometimes find irritating. The lace and color are very pretty.
However, my boobs are extremely close together, and the gore is a tiny bit too wide. Not so much the bras fault, as this is an issue for me in nearly all non plunge bras. I'd still say this is a keeper

    • Looks a tad small on your bigger side? I try to fit my bigger side, but i'm super soft and floppy, so i'll fall out on my bigger side, otherwise lol

    • This and the Freya Eden I happened to see just below both look like kind of a tight squeeze. I would size up!

    • Yeah I think it's a little small for Lefty 😄

    • My lefty is also the bigger one lol. I think it's common, maybe because there are more right-handed ppl than left-handed??

    • Wait, how does handedness affect boobs? 😯

    • I don't know if handedness has anything to do with it, but I always assumed that because most people's hearts are bigger on the left side (i.e. you can feel the beat easier on the left), maybe there was more blood flow or something over there. Whatever the reason we've totally made up in our heads, I think more women have a larger left breast than right?

    • 1

I think it's handedness too. One of my girlfriends was left-handed and had a larger right boob.

Great t-shirt push up bra for small, FOB, shallow breasts like mine! It's been difficult finding a push-up bra that gives good push, doesn't gape, lays smoothly under tops, and doesn't have very hard padding. The only thing is that this quads a little bit right after 'swooping and scooping' but it's fine once my breasts settle in. My right breast is slightly smaller than the other one and therefore gapes a tiny bit when bending forward and moving shoulders forward, but it's not a big deal to me because I'm happy with all of the other aspects! Got an amazing deal at Nordstrom Rack - was only $5.99! I might try other B.tempt'd by Wacoal bras next time.

  6. B.wow'd Push Up Bra (958187)

Short roots, center full, close set, somewhat narrow, omega shape, projected, and soft...

After trying 200+ bras and waiting two months for each special order bra, I was desperate. Desperate for one wired bra I could wear for more than two hours without my lymph nodes screaming ("pins and needles" sensation in my armpit). My wireless bras are fantastic, but sometimes I need more support than they offer. This is it! Eureka! Hallelujah.

Previously, I had tried this bra in Blithe (aqua), and the band was too long. Shortening the band caused the somewhat sharp cup edge to abrade my arm pit. Knowing black dyes require higher temperatures, I hoped ... the Black model of this bra would present a smaller band that wouldn't require an alteration. I'm thankful for black bras https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

This is what I appreciate about B.wow'd bra:
    1. Very low and narrow gore--both characteristics are essential for a bra to fit me
    2. Room for center-full breasts at both the top and bottom of the gore
    3. Foam encapsulated, flexible underwires
    4. Enough padding that I don't instinctively cover my chest to protect my very sensitive nipples.
    5. Tolerates projected breasts
    6. Soft fabric
    7. Rounded, smooth profile under thin knits
    8. Seamless
    9. $20
    10. Immediately available
    11. Graduated padding

    Detractions
    1. Limited cup sizes. I'm wearing a 36DD because a 30FF is not available
    2. Narrow Straps (.4" )
    3. 2x3 Fasteners
    4. Somewhat sharp cup edge
    5. Cup wrinkles easily

Although this bra is recommended for the wide set and shallow community, I can strongly recommend it for the close set, center full, short-rooted community as well. And, I would have never discovered it without Bratabase. <3 Discontinued and available for a steal on Amazon and Ebay.

  7. Lace Kiss Bralette (910182)

    S

    Fits

S - B.tempt'd By Wacoal » Lace Kiss Bralette (910182) is an unadjustable wireless bralette made of somewhat itchy, floral-patterned, stretch lace. It is unpadded and wireless. The elastic seam/band which connects the bottom of the cups to the rest of the band offers some support as do the cups themselves.

The cups are see-through and do manage to shape breasts nicely. Although I've noticed my chest sometimes looks "rectangular." Not "uniboob," but just sort of boxy. It's hard to explain and it's very subtle.

The band is made of the same stretch lace as the rest of the bralette with an elastic strap effectively going the length ... of the perimeter. It seems to me that in the front of the bralette, the band has semi NON-STRETCH stitching on the elastic while the back stretches as one might expect. The band, at least in the small and medium, has no closures and is not adjustable.

The straps are elastic too and have two parts -- meaning they are not fully adjustable. The front part of the strap is elastic with delicate scallop detailing. The back part is plain, flat/smooth, similarly-colored, elastic with metal adjusters. The straps are fairly thin and -- with no underwire and no adjustable band -- are seemingly doing all of the support work, causing them to dig in a little. If one were to use the bralette as a sleep bra, though, they wouldn't notice this.

The instructions say to hand wash it, but I've machine washed and dried it with no problem.

Even with all of its "flaws," as far as bralettes go, I think this is one of the best -- especially if you're looking for one that "does it all." It has received several editor's awards. I'm a 30E/30DDD, tall and wide roots, average projection, fairly even, and it fits me in the small and medium. The small gets more traction because it's tighter and consequently feels like it offers more support. I mostly use it as a sleep bra and for those times when I'm hanging out around the house or running light errands. I wear a lot of cotton t-shirts and under them, the bralette looks like a normal t-shirt bra for the most part which is a huge plus. I haven't tried wearing it with anything else. Now, it can be a little itchy at first but it softens over time to become very comfortable and light. One could wash it in a fabric softener if they didn't want to wait. Overall, I think this is a wonderful product that would be great for summer and/or lounging around, and certainly one to try if you're in the market for a good bralette.

    30DD

    Fits

Last week I was on a trip in Montréal in Canada. I have been looking for a strapless bras for a long time and I thought it would be nice to find one in a shop: I can't find my size (28E/30DD) in my country (France) so I normally only shop online. So I go to the shop Hudson's Bay. I had a hard time finding something in my size (many matrix sizes avaible). But thanks to Bratabase I knew B.tempt'd By Wacoal was selling 30DD bra and luckily I found this bra in 30D and 30DD with a discount. First I tried the 30D ... bra but it was too small in the cup but it was not a surprise. Eventually the 30DD was an okay fit both in band and cup and now I can wear strapless dresses without straps showing off!

    Pros:
-On this bra the hooks are on the side which makes it easier to close: I know some ladies here find it difficult when there are many hooks in the back
-This bra is less boring because of the lace
-The band is tight and more a 28 band than a 30 (I mostly wear 28E bras). The bra stays put throughout the day without bothering me

    Cons:
-There are many hooks (5) and only two rows
-The lace can be visible though a tight shirt and maybe I will try the Freya Deco Strapless Bra soon in 28E for a smoother look
-The size range is not wide enough (no 30DDD in this model but thankfully the 30DD was a nice fit)

I'm so happy this fit and very happy to see we have some native French people here! I know how bra sizing is in france as I am obsessed with several french brands but they practically scoff at the idea of a small band big cup. The few times I find 30/75 bands through french brands they only offer A and B cups. It's quite sad.
But if you do decide to get the Deco Strapless make sure you get the 28F! I typically wear a 28D and the 28DD fits well on me, if not a bit small. It tends to run small in the cup.

    • 1

Thank you for your comment LeProfessor !
In France bra fitters put me in 85B bras (32B) because they judge I have too small breasts to be a 80D/E (30D/DD) and also to try to sell me something. Some French brands (Etam , Aubade , Lejaby ...) stock 80/30 bands with cups like D/E (or even F for Lejaby) but they are only available online. Too bad!
I agree most French fitters consider it is impossible to have a small band with big cups. In store it is really hard to even find 85E/F (32DD/E). They point out that if you outgrow your 85D then you buy a 90D and not a 85E! The most popular band here are 90/95 (34/36 UK) even on small ladies but I think it is the same in the US, isn't it? They also think the 75 band (28 in UK sizing) doesn't even exist or is for anorexic!
When I say I wear 28E bras in UK sizing, French fitters just laugh at me! It's such a shame!

    • 1

That's so crazy, like my boobs are too big for the 85D, not my rib cage!
Makes you want to scream at the fitters "Would you like to see my bra tag! This 85B you want to give me soo badly smooshes my breast tissue under my arms, do you not like my breast tissue being on front of my chest!??!?!"
And yes, a 90/95 is the most popular band here in the US as well, as I am sure it is over most the world. Though women with very small rib cages like I are fast to discover 85 bands. One girl I know has a smaller rib cage than I and she is wearing a 85D and completely spilling over top of it. Poor girl. I tried to tell her about real sizing. Can you imagine the size she would actually be wearing her real band size of 65/70? She'd probably be like 65H/HH or a 70GG/H. Has all sorts of back problems.
I'm a bit surprised that they don't fit you into a 90B instead of 85B, I could only imagine how you would be falling out of 85B. I was wearing a 85B most of my adult life, but then again, I get sized into anything from 85A/AA to a 90A depending on where I go. So perhaps I shouldn't be surprised!
If only those brands weren't SO EXPENSIVE. I LOVE YSE LINGERIE! It's a french brand made for smaller busts, and they just introduced D cups, but ONLY in 85+ band sizes, and I have literally been begging them for anything but an A or B cup in a 80 band. BEGGING! XD

    • 1

Of course the 85B is way too small ! Even the 85C is too small ! Now I simply avoid bra fitters: they tend to measure my underbust loosely and squeeze my breast tissue with the measuring tape!
One or my friends wears 90E (34DD) but her band is riding up, the cups are floating over her breasts and she is also spilling over the cups a lot. She was wearing 95D (36D) for a while but recently she convinced herself to try the sister size down. I guess she is more a 32FF/G or even a 30G/GG. Like the girl you are talking about she has had serious back ache. She is considering getting a reduction when a better bra may solve her problem. I should tell her about real sizing but I don't know if she will listen to me.
I hope your friend will listen to you and try some 28G/GG to begin with. Maybe ordering custom sizes from Ewa Michalak or @Comexim is for later and a bit tricky. When I was a 28DD I ordered the 3D Satine in 26F and it was too small both in the cups and the band. I couldn't return it so I give it to a friend of mine.
On Monday I will receive Aubade bras on sale. (I can't afford to pay full price!) I hope some of them will fit me.

    Didn't fit

I've read many reviews that say that this bra is better suited to those with wide-set breasts, and they weren't wrong, but it wasn't so bad for my close-set breasts due to the padding in the cups.

The material on this thing is weird. The band isn't very elastic, for all that it doesn't stretch much. It's a little on the tight side for a 30, which is fine for me, but reviews say that it stretches out quickly. I can see this happening. Although it appeared to hook fine on the second hook, it didn't feel at all supportive. The tightest hook might have been more supportive, but ... I had already decided not to keep it at that point and didn't want to stretch out the band too much.

The cups themselves are quite shallow, due to the padding in the cups. The padding is located on the bottom-outside portions of the cup, which worked great for me, since that's where I have the least fullness. However, the top/inner edges of the cup curved in a little too sharply for my shape, and I had the tiniest bit of quadboob. I found that the cups fit better when worn as a racerback/halter top. The cups no longer cut in then. That's not the way I like to wear bras though, so it wasn't much of a solution.

The gore didn't quite tack either. The top part of the gore floated just a tad, and wasn't really fixed when the bra was worn as a halter top. I think this may be due to a combination of close-set breasts with a slightly-too-shallow cup. Possible going up a cup would have solved the fit issues in the cups, but it wouldn't have solved the other problems I had with this bra.

I didn't realize why the colorways had two descriptions (xx/xx) until I received mine, when I was faced with unexpected leopard print. Turns out the first color is for the front and the second color is for the back. This feels super obvious in hindsight. I really don't like leopard print, even if it's not something I'll see when wearing it. I'll still know it's there.

The straps on the bra are completely removable for racerback or halter top conversion. It's not a suitable bra for strapless wear though. It's fully adjustable and was quite pretty, as it had a bit of a shine to it.

If I had encountered this bra earlier in my ABTF journey, I probably would have kept it, as I have other bras that fit similarly. But I have bras that fit, and now I'm pickier about fit because I can, and I no longer like molded bras very much. Perhaps if I come across it with a better price and colorway, I'll consider it again.

Band size runs true to size for a b.tempt'd bra. It's a 30 band bra that stretches out to 30.5" which is really good for b.tempt'd. This band is great if you are a true 30 band. Cups run true to size. Cup size is good and awful at the same time. It is better than the Neve Strapless because the wires are less broad. It is worse than the Neve Strapless because it cuts into my flesh at the tops of the cups. This bras is not for people who are FOT or have tall roots.

I hate this bra solely because it cuts into my flesh (I have tall roots). Go for this bra if you are shallow, medium rooted, far apart spaced, FOB, and short rooted.

    32DD

    Didn't fit

The B.tempt'd by Wacoal B.charming Racerback T-shirt Bra is a stretch lace racerback with a barrel locking front closure. The stretch lace is lined with nude mesh on the band which was a nice detail. The mesh distributes skin and back fat evenly across the lace/band in a very flattering way. One could let the back and straps peek out from under clothing (as if it were a bralette). The straps are front adjustable meaning the adjusters are on one's chest. The furthest the adjusters could go is probably the very top of one's back. I never found this to be uncomfortable. The underwire plus the thin stretch ... foam cups supposedly enhance your natural shape, but beware the band and cups run small. In most other brands, I'm a 30DDD/32DD, and the 32DD in this bra "pancaked" my chest in addition to causing quadboob. The band also felt a little tight at times. My underbust measurement is 29.5" for reference. The edges of the cup showed through a thin t-shirt. Whether that was due to the ill fit or not, I don't know. I had hoped the bra would stretch out and conform to my body with wear but alas it has not. In the right size, I could imagine the B.charming Racerback T-shirt bra being a pretty and versatile addition to one's lingerie drawer.

This bra is *beautiful* and I so badly wanted it to fit. However, I find the band to be a tight for personal preference (I can fit two fingers under it, but, it feels like it's digging into my ribs) and there's quadboob going on with the bigger breast. I saw it mentioned that the band for 30DDD is tighter than the other 30 bands? https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> The straps are also pretty wide set. I like the shape of the cups, they're good for FOB, and the shape/length of the underwire is perfect. But there's too many other sizing issues. Though there's a line on the inside of the cups that's also a little bit irritation, if I get my hands on a 32DDD, I'll still try it. A shame there isn't a 30F option.

Small boobies who want to go wireless rejoice! They are finally making wireless bras that aren't full cups that we can't fill. Not that this bra is not without it's problems: One, you can't adjust the straps, I just got lucky that they work for me and I usually adjust my bra straps so they are as long as they go. Two, the criss-cross straps are hard to put on, strange to get used to and give some serious sports-bra vibes. They also kind of pull on your sides, instead of having bra marks under my boobs they were on the left and right sides of my rib ... cage. That will take some getting used to. Three, the band size starts at 32, when I wear a 30. Luckily Wacoal bands tend to run small so I'm starting with the middle loops, still I don't see why they aren't stocking 30 bands with this style. BUT overall the bra was actually made for those of us who are shallow, full on the bottom and can't fill the top of a bra cup to save our lives. Finally a bra with NO wrinkles at the top. The padding is light and the style of the bra make my boobs look great and shapely. Not lost in a sea of fabric they consider 'support' because there are no wires. The lace makes it look more like underwear and less like I'm about to go for a jog when I put it on. So, yes, I would buy more. Just have to get used to those strange criss-cross straps...

Great review. It's on sale in my size right now and I'm so tempted!

    • 1

Yes, it seems they might be phasing it out, actually. If that seems to be the case Gap has the Live In Pretty wireless which is pretty comparable.

    • Ugh, don't they always. But good to know that GAP has something similar! Thanks!

Very tight band that stretches the cups East West. I need a cup size and a band size up. Great for people who need tighter than 28 bands.
I like that the gore is so small and low. It's just that the band is so tight, it stretches the cups sideways and makes the gore wider.

Attributes: Thin straps, super soft band, good apex projection, flexible gore, and a closed cup edge.

This molded cup has significantly more apex projection than Wacoal La Femme and Lace Affair t-shirt bras. The thin molded cup material seems nearly identical. The shape under thin knits is also similar--rounded orbs.

But, B.Splendid is more soft and comfortable than the aforementioned t-shirt bras. The wires are foam encapsulated and don't bite ribs. The band is thin, super soft, and very stretchy. The cups are covered in soft microfiber.

This gore is thin, flexible, and easy to alter. It appears the gore will stretch wider and contract to accommodate ... more or less close-set breasts. This will be helpful to many.

The cup is more narrow than I prefer. I need wider wires than Wacoal offers in 34DDD. This cup is 5.75" wide and 10" deep. But, the cup is quite closed. The alterations this bra would require to fit me would shallow the cup and cause more quadding. So, this isn't a "wild alteration" candidate. Darn.

This straps may lure some wearers, but they are my least favorite feature of this bra.

If you want a comfortable t-shirt bra with better than most apex projection, better than most immediate projection, and thin straps, try B.Splendid.

    • Did you ever find any bras that are similar to this bra? The cup size is almost perfect for me, like unicorn perfect, but the wire sit on my ribs at an uncomfortable spot. Probably that I need a 28 but they don't make it.

    • The Wacoal Bodysuede has some amazing characteristics. Other than that, Lace Affair and La Femme are the closest that I've found. rufflechai

This is a lovely bra with 3 part seamed cups. It seems to work ok for average projection and the band is true to size. However, the gore is wide at 1.2". I think it works okay on me, mostly becoming itchy toward the end of the day. Otherwise it's very comfortable and soft.

I almost bought a 30DDD but then saw this 30DD on clearance in Dillards and liked the fit. The cup depth is a bit smaller than I usually wear, but it stays in my IMF all day without quadding. I will still try a 30DDD if I come across it. The shape is nice and it's more seamless under clothes than expected

The bra is super soft, the band fits comfortable. It looks great under clothing. My wide breasts are supported on the sides. I bet the push up helps with this. I'm not a fan of push up bras though, and was specifically looking for a quick drying wire free bra for travel. I don't think the padding in this bra would dry quick.
I should have ordered a 30DD instead of 30D as the cups were way too small.

This bralette is made from stretch lace. It's not very supportive, and it doesn't do anything with my natural boob shape. I wasn't expecting that from a bralette in the first place. It's comfy, slightly supportive and not restricting - perfect for lounging around and spending lazy days at home (which is exactly what I wanted).

    Size wise, I'm a 30E/32DD and size M fits like a glove.
I'm positive this size would also work 1-2 cup sizes smaller. The cups are stretchy.
I would not recommend it to anyone with a cup size larger than 32DD (I'm already very close to quadboob).

Mind that different colorways of this bralette may run ... differently - I tried on the "rose violet" before, and it ran smaller, so I had slight quadboob at the top and near the armpits. I'm glad I tried on the blue one - it fits perfectly.

The front of the longline part is curling up when worn, but that doesn't bother me.

All in all, it's a nice, inexpensive lacy longline bralette and it fits far better than most S/M/L sized bralettes I've tried so far.

I'm not familiar with the quality of Wacoal products yet, so we'll see how it holds up with wash and wear, and how quickly it's going to stretch.

Short roots, center full, close set, omega shape, somewhat narrow, soft breasts

Never have I wanted a push-up bra. Now, I find myself the proud owner of several. My close set, center full breasts do not accommodate wires. For lift and nipple armor, I began wearing lined (padded), wireless bras. These were comfortable until the cups collapsed and the band would bite. Plus, such bras are rarely available in 30FF, my preferred cup size. I theorized push-up padding may help alleviate the biting sensation when the wireless cups, inevitability, collapsed. So far, this hypothesis is correct.

B.Splendid creates "butt crack cleavage." The world will never see mine, but this bra ... will allow one to flaunt their assets. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> Also, it is important to note the cup edge is closed. This is the feature that causes me a bit of quadding. I reversed swoop and scoop to reduce quadding. If you have tall roots, size up. The cups fit well on my short-waisted frame but may pose a problem for those who have taller roots. For taller users, the straps are fully adjustable and several inches longer than I anticipated.

B.Splendid is similar to Warner's Play it Cool Wirefree (http://www.bratabase.com/browse/warners/play-it-cool-wirefree-rn3281a/ ). The cup and band are made of soft microfiber and the cups have a push-up pad in the bottom. This is where the similarities end.

B.Splendid has a non-stretch band under the cups. The wings and the back of the band, however, are elastic. This provides significantly more support than Play It Cool's 100% stretchy band.

B.Splendid's push-up pad is....graduated and mountainous. Never did I think I would appreciate such a big piece of foam. It is a wall that keeps my soft tissue from slinking into my armpits. Play It Cool has a small knoll in the bottom of its cup. Giggle. Although my tissue wanders into my armpit while wearing Play It Cool, B.Splendid keeps the girls front and center.

    I would appreciate wider straps and 3x3 fasteners. But, who am I kidding....this is a push-up bra. @Wacoal, there is a market for supportive push-up bras. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

Edit: Spent 7 hours at the zoo and park in this bra and the cup never collapsed. It stood tall when even wired bras painfully collapse--driving an automobile. I do not like the mass of foam, but this bra holds me front and center in absolute comfort. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

That's an impressive bra. All I owned before finding ABTFs was push up bras, but they fit terribly...not even close to my size or shape. Are you finding the band loose in these?

    • 1

      Very pretty on you!!

    • Wilderness1 The band is providing virtually no support because of its length (34" stretched), but somehow it stays put and prevents my soft tissue from moving into my armpits. It is likely the combination of the non-stretch front and stretchy sides that provides some stability. Pleasant surprise. :-)

Okay. I'm calling this a win, despite the band size. My underbust is 26 and this is a 30. I barely have to pull the band in order to fasten it on the tightest hooks (meaning it isn't really stretching to reach around my ribcage), so it is clearly too big -- but it also seems to be staying in place just fine. Let's hope it doesn't stretch out too much.

The cups add a little more size than I'm usually comfortable with, but they fit very well. They provide an attractive push-up effect without any gaps or quadding (when I adjust the straps properly), which is nice to ... have as a bra option. This bra is great for far-spaced breasts that are broad-rooted, and full on bottom and outsides, like mine.

I feel a bit irresponsible keeping this one, since the band is large and the level of padding is more than I expected -- but it fills a serious void in my bra wardrobe. I really needed (and have been searching for) a totally seamless, low-cut, beige bra with convertible straps (why aren't all straps detachable?). This completely fits the bill, aside from the large band. It disappears beneath my clothing, it is incredibly comfortable, and I think it's really pretty. The material is nice, and super smooth. I love that. The scalloped edge helps the outline of the cup to disappear under thin shirts, which I think is clever. If the band gets too loose, maybe I will be able to alter it somehow.

I may start petitioning Wacoal and Timpa to make their bras with smaller band sizes. Unfortunately, the best-fitting cups I've found have bands too large, and it's bumming me out.

There are a lot of reviews on Amazon that say this stretches out really quickly. I've tried it on, and I can see this happening. It's some odd material that starts off really tight but loosens up a lot really quickly.

Altering bands down is really easy, and you have a much larger pool of possibilities once you get the hang of it. It also means you can keep your favorite bras for longer, so long as the cups are intact. :)

    • Why do the comments on this post keep double posting? :

    • you could try altering the band to make it smaller, I've seen lots of tutorials online and they seem pretty easy.

    • bellea & addictedtoyou -- I likely will alter all of my bands down eventually, when I get the courage to do so. I think I will actually start practicing on my super old 34A bras, so I don't have to worry about ruining a new/expensive bra if I screw it up. In the meantime, I will probably try something like a Rixie Clip or other band tightener. I worry about damaging the material with those metal teeth it clamps on with, though.

I have no idea why comments are double-posting... That's really weird. :/
