    Didn't fit

My shape: Low set, soft, narrow and short rooted, slightly centre full and pendulous.

I've wanted this bra for quite some time, but wasn't sure how it would fit or what size to try, so I was glad to see it pop up on bratabase. I decided to give it a go. Pre ABTF I used to only wear push up plunges but, since finding ABTFs, I find that half cups and balconnettes give me a better shape (less pointy). I do like plunges though...

Anyways, this one has some slight signs of wear on the gore and band, but the cups and straps are in really good shape. I ... think the satiny material is really nice, and the bra is light. I like that it is made of satin material because it'll slip off my shirt instead of making a bra tent. The shape it creates is fairly round.. a little bit pointy on me, but then again, this bra is slightly too small on me. I get some bubbling on my centre tissue. Perhaps with a tiny bit bigger cup I would get a more rounded profile. Still, it's pretty good compared to some plunges I've tried.

The comfort is great... like I said, it's a nice light bra with a satiny exterior. It's good quality, but I wouldn't say it feels high end. The band is stretchy though, and too big for me. I tried it on the tigest hooks, which works for me, but then I have no more hooks to use if it stretches anymore. Not sure if that's because it's used or just because the band comes stretchy. I have a feeling it's probably a bit of both. The straps are very adjustable, even on my tall frame. The black flower pattern is pretty and I can match it to a bunch of different colour bottoms, which I like.

overall, I marked it as non-fitting, but will keep it and wear it (especially on my pre-ovulation days). I don't need a bra to be 100% in every way to be happy with it. As long as it's wearable and mostly fits, I'm happy!

    • Beautiful! I debated whether or not to get that one because of the band measurement. I do still want to try one of them though.

    • What a beautiful bra! This looks fabulous on you.

    • 1

Calluna thanks, it looks like we're wearing the same size these days, and our measurements are so close!
      rachaelll thanks.

    • Actually, your measurements are better for the band than the listing had so I could probably do it. I’m happy with 29-30” stretched bands right now, sometimes 29.5-30” if I feel more swollen. I think that we are pretty close, but you can do slightly snugger bands than me.

    • 1

Calluna , I am a little bit conservative when I stretch bands. I follow the instructions on this site...I only stretch them until I see the wires bending, and I measure from hook to eye (not from the hook to the end of the band). Not sure how consistently people measure like that. There were a couple measurements for the 30FF that said the band stretched to 32-33", with the previous owner of this particular bra measuring it at 32.3" (which would have required a firmer stretch for sure). It does feel stretchy though. I definitely could use a 28 in this model.

    • Yeah, it was closer to 32” which is why I passed on it. I’m also a conservative measurer. I initially measured hook to band end but now do hook to hook. I’m super nervous about over stretching as well. But the one rachaelll posted looked too small for me in the 28 band. So I think 30FF is right for me. Should you decide to part with this one, I might take it off your hands.

    • Calluna , I'll let you know. I have only tried it on so far. I need to wear it to see how it will work, and I'd like to try it during 'low tide' to see if it still cuts in. I'll keep you posted though if I plan on selling it!

    • Oh of course. :)

    • It's a beautiful bra and it looks great on you!

    • Thanks Sonya

Wilderness1 that's exactly how I do it. thanks for confirming I'm doing right.

  2. Satine In Bloom Bra (LN217)

I saw this bra in the Bravissimo summer catalogue a few weeks ago, thought how pretty it was, and dismissed it as not worth trying because Bravissimo's own brand balconettes and half-cups are appallingly bad fits for me. But then last week when I was putting in an order for a new Panache Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) I decided to add this one on since the returns are free, and to my astonishment, it fits! It's remarkably comfortable too - so much so, in fact, that I'm going to order the regular Satine as well to take the place of my now sadly much too small ... Ewa Michalak 3D Wodzianka bra 70DD - Ewa Michalak » 3d Wodzianka (504) . I could possibly have gone up a size to the 30G to avoid getting any hint of quad-boob, but I find I prefer occasional quadding to gapping when I lean forward, which I suspect the 30G would give me on my smaller side.

The flower design is very bright, and it has a small button on the centre gore, which makes a nice change from the usual bows. This bra does have one very peculiar feature, though: a fold of net just below the hem at the top of the cups. I can't see that it serves any purpose other than to make the design more cluttered, and it may well show up under tighter clothes.

I found the bra looked reasonably nice but the wires pokes my sternum. I also found the bottom of the cups wrinkled, so perhaps it was too shallow for me. All round not that comfy for me personally.

I bought this second hand. It had clearly been worn a lot but was still in good shape.

I bought this as I found myself spilling out of my 30F Satine. It came from eBay and is quite worn, despite the listing saying it was in great condition. You can see this in the pictures. The band has stretched and I'm wearing it on the 2nd hook already.

This is comfortable and the wires are short so they don't dig into my armpits or breast tissue at the front. However, they are a bit too wide for me.

It fits my larger left breast but is a little big on my right. It gives a good shape under clothes compared to looking pointy in my 30F Satine.

This bra reminds me of my 65HH - Comexim » Basic Plunge Bra (170) . The wires are slightly wider and the apex is higher and slightly deeper. Recently I lost some volume so this bra is a little big on me, the top of cups are empty by the seam. I like how short the gore is. The first time I wore it, the gore cause too much pain but the second time there was no pain. The wires are not hard like Panache but not super soft either.

    • It’s a beautiful bra. I’m interested in the Satine as well as I have seen some people recently have luck with it. I see that they still have th oriental one in green and a few other ones I like. Maybe I just need to get one once I have a bit more money.

I know the Satine has a big following, and I can understand why. Unfortunately, this bra is probably a size too large--my breasts do not fill the top of the cups. I love the low gore, rounded profile, narrow cups, and satiny smooth fabric. I'm tempted to buy it in a smaller size. This bra seems like a great substitute for folks wanted a t-shirt bra but don't want a shallow, molded cup model.

Bravissimo Satine - one of my favourite bras! I just cant stop buying them! I want all possible colours and models! One of the most comfiest bras that ive ever owned in my life. I love their satin softness.
The wires are comfy, short and on the flexible side. 30FF has a tad too wide wires for my fairly narrow breasts. 30F has my perfect width of 13cm, in 30FF theres 0.5cm difference. As im already experienced with Comexim and its flexible, sometimes too wide wires, I decided to improve fit of Satine and bend its wires. It was quite simple as I mentioned theyre on the flexible ... side rather than what we get in Panache or Ewa Michalak bras. Wider wires were causing a bit of gapping as my boobs had too much space inside the cup and were running to sides, now with bended wires, the breast tissue is well contained and gapping is gone. The gore is relatively low and also does not cause any pain.
The band is perfect on me, however it is made only of 1 layer of mesh, which I really hate as this gives to bra shorter life unfortunately. I feel secure and comfortable on loosest set.
The cup depth is good, much better than in 30F. This bra seems to be better for short roots, that I do not have. in 30F, my boobs were okay with small quadboobs after I wore it, and then after some time im kind of falling out of the middle (lol my boobs are more on the sides so thats very unusual, it happened only once before in one of my EM bras!) Ive decided to try 30FF, and as I said, with bended wires, cups fits well, better than in 30F, so Im going to give it a try as see whether my boobs will fall out or not
Straps are good, they nicely hide under my tank tops, also theyre made of soft and easy to adjust fabric. I love that theyre wider so they dont dig into my skin.

Overall Im very pleased with these bras and definietly will buy more of them (even for sleeping!) !

This bra is so cute and pretty, The quality is not good https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> wich is sad, because the bra is really cute, the colors are bright and happy!! The fit is just a little odd, in-cup quad-boob, wich is a shame because the lift is amazing, still wearable, the wires are way too short for me, tissue scapes on the side, near the armpit, the cups run a bit on the smaller side, but does not give me quad-boob on top of the cup (but inside the cup) I am pretty sure I am full on bottom and have inside fullness too, that is why I think it does not quad-boob on top, the lace is not stretchy. The band is true to size, maybe just a tiny bit big, very scratchy!! Comfortable to wear since is a bit stretchy, but it stays in place which is good. As you can see in my pictures, it depends on the type of blouse I wear how it looks.

I grabbed the Boudoir Beau Bra by Bravissimo off the rack quickly after the associate helping me had no luck. I don't know anything about this bra and it wasn't recommended for me, but I tried it for diagnostics because it felt a lot like Fantasie Susanna, et al and I wanted to give all the unlined options a try. It was all wrong for me, though. Too thin/soft in material, a weird jiggly pointy shape, plus it's scratchy, gapey on top and did nothing to lift me up. The wires were an okay width, I think, but they were thick and hard and uncomfortable.

I got this bra used from a reddit user, and unfortunately the band ended up being way too big for me (it rides up so much in the back). The cups *almost* fit; if I did a tiny alteration near the gore or under the arm it would be fine. I would say this is pretty true to size, maybe a hair on the big side for the band because it has been worn before. I do love the colours though; the cups and band are a little brighter and more saturated then they look in the pictures, and the detailing is what I would call a deep-hot pink, which compliments the coral-pink of the bra so well. Too bad it doesn't fit me!

I was so hoping, despite all my rational knowledge/guesstimate to the contrary, that this bra would work perfectly...

In terms of volume, it's technically a fit, but there's a shape incompatability going on which makes for a few quirks. The wires are a comfortable width for me (I'd heard that Bravissimo bras ran narrower than Cleo, but perhaps that's not true in my size range).

Depth should be perfect, but the bra actually looks too deep on. This is because the top edge of the cup is extremely unforgiving, and seems cut for a FOB-only shape, whereas I'm quite even top and bottom. As a result I get some cutting-in ... along the top edge and a sort of upside-down orange-in-a-glass effect of not being able to fit all my breast into the cup. Soft tissue means I can swoop and scoop assiduously and it sits okay after that, but it still cuts in a little.

Additionally, the bra's apex expects wider-set breasts than I have. As a result of all this, I can get a bit of an elf-shoe shape. Swooping and scooping away from the gore adjusts everything as it should be and so gives a more rounded shape.

The gore, as always, is too wide. It tacks, or at least one of the wires does; the other floats because there's simply no room for it. Story of my life. However, the cup does seem to have plenty of immediate projection along the height of the gore to cope with my inner fullness admirably, which is a rare thing indeed.

Very wide and shallow, this fitted okay when I was 30FF in Cleo Juna and 30F in Freya Lauren half cup, had the snuggest band of the three which has not stretched out too much for me. The wires are too wide for me, and now the cup is definitely too shallow and gives me a very square shape with quadboob. Have bent the gore away from me to make it comfortable.

  17. Sweet Medley Bra (LN176)

Nabbed this on a whim, mostly because it was on sale (as far as Bravissimo ever puts things on sale) and I wanted an unlined plunge bra.

The fabric is quite starchy, which led to some scratching from the ribbons on my first wear, but I expect that to ease with a wash or two.

The band is stretchy, more Freya than Cleo. Gives good shape and uplift. I get some cutting-in along the cup's top edge, because these days I'm a deep breath away from being a 30G, and also because I have inner fullness. The flip side of that is that the top edge of the cup is firm enough that it does an okay job of arresting the plunge slide my soft tissue is partial to, so I don't have to do too much readjusting during the day.

  18. Candy Bliss Bra (LN173)

This looks and feels quite similar to the Freya bombshell balcony plunge - similar shape, fabric, colours. The main difference is that Candy Bliss has a stretch-lace upper cup, and a higher central gore. The Freya comes up bigger - I needed @30F in Freya compared to 30FF in @Bravissimo. I'm comparing both together as I splurged on both of them on the same day.

I found the band on Candy Bliss feels slightly tighter, but it could be because it feels like it has less stretch. The shape, although fairly front-projecting, feels like it gives a slightly narrower ... profile than the Bombshell and is quite slimming. Under a thin top the outline of the seam between the lace upper cup and the lower cup can be seen. A large proportion of the cup is see-through lace, so beware if wearing a light, see-through top on a chilly day as one's nips can be observed.

The straps are quite stretchy, but firm and fairly wide. They are quite soft on the underside and a pale peachy colour. They feel a little wide-set, as if I want to pull them up my shoulders a bit, but they don't slip down at all.

Now that I've had a chance to road-test both bras, my conclusion was that the Freya Bombshell was comfortable from the moment I tried it until the end of the day. Unfortunately with the Bravissimo Candy Bliss I found it started to get irritating after a couple of hours, with the gore digging into my sternum and the stretchy bits feeling just a bit too stretchy! As it just couldn't compare to the overall comfort of the Freya I decided to return it. It's a beautiful looking bra, though, so I'm sure it would be more forgiving on somebody with a higher wire tolerance than me. If I hadn't bought the Freya at the same time I probably would have kept the Bravissimo offering.
