    34HH-J

    Didn't fit

Flora is sold out in this colour in most sizes but Bravissimo customer service confirmed there will be new colours this year. It is based on the shape of Bravissimo Zara Bralette (LN605) but made with stronger materials and thicker lace overlay.
I have both bras, I mainly use my Zara for sleeping / lounging and love it. But it has it's flaws, the band is feeling loose and rides up and with time my boobs push it down at the front, there is also a lot of weight on the straps. So enter in Flora and OMG it is so much better! It's an improved stronger ... Zara with added layers inside and stronger lace outside for extra support. In Flora my band stays put and my boobs are help up properly by the cups. It is like a lace top with boob support. I was shocked at how well it supports my boobs! If I wear it under a top no one would guess that I don't wear a wired bra! The shape is uplifted and round as you can see in my T-shirt pics.

The fit: So I had to go for the 34HH/J as my regular Bravissimo size 32JJ-K is not available. It does so far not cause much problems. The band feels tight and supportive. The cups could be a bit bigger but they hold in my boobs well and I get no center overspill. They keep my boobs close to chest. There is some slight side overspill under my arms but that doesn't bother me much in a wireless bra and it was expected. I think I use a bit of the band as cup therefore the band feels tighter than it is. I mean I was actually shocked at how large the band is when I measured it, but it makes sense in this case.

I tested the bra at home I think at most I wore it for 3-4 hours in the evening and it held up very well over that time! I'm not sure if I could wear it a full day instead of a wired bra. And here we come to the downsides of this bra: The straps and the weight that is on them. First straps are non adjustable. it is just okay for me but anyone who is taller or has a longer torso / low set boobs would struggle. (I'm 169cm , 5''6 ) Second as my boobs are quite big and there is no wire to help carry the weight there is maybe a 50% division of weigh between band and straps. Note in well fitting bra it should be 80% carried by band. I think that the boobs are closed to chest in this bra helps some with the weight. I think you should only size up as much as your need, if it's too big in cups you loose support. It's kinda like a non wired sports bra but more pretty and fancy and you can get seperation at the center because of it's shape. For me it isn't possible to get much seperation as I said the cups are on the smaller side for me.

Anyway I really recommend this Bralette for larger sizes too and if you are not too tall / don't need very long straps! I hope Bravissimo will continue to make it and will expand the size range up to JJ/K cups too. It is really well made and supportive and the bestBralette I tried so far.

Looks great on you and I'm glad you like it. Look how different it looks vs mine, the band on mine completely disappeared under my boobs, or my boobs were using the whole band as the cups too lol. How it looks on you is how I expected mine to look. :(

    • That is beautiful and looks great on you! Now I want to try one, even though I’m not usually a fan of bralettes.

This bra is just gorgeous. I'm an over-the-top, love-all-the-bright-colors-and-jewel-tones, yay-bring-on-the-lace kinda girl. The color is a beautiful, rich Christmas red, that is a bit deeper and richer than the pics of the bra by itself. The cut of this is almost a clone of the 30HH-J - Bravissimo » Zara Bralette (LN605). Fitwise, though, I found it much stronger and more capable of handling larger boobs than Zara proved to be. (My shapes: full on top, center-full, close-set, tall & somewhat wide roots, narrow shoulders) here's how they compared:

    Objective:
The crochet lace is much thicker and sturdier, which means the band is firmer - ... wore it on the loosest hook, instead of going straight to the tightest as I did w Zara - and the cups don't stretch out nearly as much as with the Zara. There is a very soft lining inside the cups so there's no itching or direct contact w the lace. The straps are smallest near the cup, but get close to 2"+ in the back. The band goes from 1.5"-3 near the gore, narrows under the cups, and increases to 3" from the sides to the hooks. Hooks are 4x4.

    Subjective:
The Zara almost immediately took a dive down my chest, the flimsy band and stretchy cups wilting under the weight of my boobs, pulling the straps downwards as my poor boobs plummeted over the band and made a beeline for my bellybutton. Okay, I'm exaggerating a bit. Still. Not so in the Flora. I only wore it maybe 15-20 minutes, but I didn't notice the same southern migration. The straps stayed on the tops of my shoulders where they belong and the cups held my boobs up well, aided by a firmer band which fit pretty tts.

Downsides: since the cups were stronger they couldn't stretch to contain my breast tissue as well, so the cups felt smaller than the Zara's. Comfort was pretty good, but since it's wireless I got a lot more tension on the straps than I would with a regular wired bra. The band and cups were very comfortable, though.

Overall, I liked this bra better than the Zara. Since I could wear it on the loosest hook, I'll be wild and try the 32HH-J in hopes of getting more room in the cups without losing too much support from the band. Realistically, I think I'd need a 30JJ-K - but we'll see!

My second Flora. Had to have the blue. The color really is beautiful. This one is tighter in the band than my red one. I thought it might just be that it's newer, but measurements show that the band really is a bit shorter. Aside from the tighter band, it's the same great fit and support as the red.

    Fits

This is the most supportive wireless bra I've tried. It's very similar in shape and fit to the Bravissimo Zara, but of the two, Flora is firmer and more secure. The cups are dual sized, possibly leaning more toward the smaller end of the size range. I'm between a HH and a J myself, and I find that at certain times of the month, my larger side will be slightly pushed out of the cup when I've had it on for a while. The structure creates a bit of separation between the cups, but nothing like a wired bra. My breasts are on the squishier side and will ... drift toward the center as I move around while wearing it. It's enough of a dip between the cups that I do have two distinct breasts under a shirt. There is a side support panel that pushes everything toward the front a bit as well. The whole cup, including the side support panel, is made of a couple layers of stretch mesh with a stretch lace layer on top. It's surprisingly supportive, giving me as much lift as some wired bras and holding everything stable enough for light exercise.

The band is true to size, unlike the Zara. It's made of the same layered mesh/lace as the cups and extends about two inches below the cup. It does tend to roll up in the front, but not in a way that I find uncomfortable. The straps vary in width from a little over an inch at the narrowest point to almost 3 inches in the back. They aren't adjustable, which is one of the main downsides of the bra. I'm short and they feel a bit tight on me sometimes. I'm not sure how much of the pressure on my shoulders is just from the tightness of the straps and how much is the straps doing some of the support work to make up for the lack of wires. If not for the tight straps, I'd probably buy several of these and wear them every day.

In terms of appearance, the red color is beautiful and the shape is attractive. I'm not that big on flowers, so I'm indifferent on the lace itself. It does come up fairly high, and the seams are visible under clothes, so it won't work under every outfit.

    Didn't fit

    Worst. bra. ever.

    This thing is awful.

The straps are so short it feels like you're wearing a 50kg chain pulling your shoulders down. I couldn't even stand up straight in this. I am not that tall, 175cm. But I feel like the straps on this is so short I don't see how it would fit anyone above 160cm comfortably lol.

The "cups" are not really what I expected from a 36HH-J, they fit kinda like my Fantasie bralette that's a 36H. So, should be bigger.

The band.. it's not even a band. There is NO elastic holding the band in, it's just the lace . So even on the ... tightest hooks, this band was super flimsy and wasn't holding anything in or up. Like, it's completely useless. They've for some reason made this bralette into a boob hat where your shoulders take all the weight.

It's meant to be a longline type of bralette too but the band part that's "long" just rolls into itself and doesn't stay put at all, try to pull it down, immediately goes back up.

I did size up to 36HH/J because I wanted a not too tight one, like I have their non padded sleep bra in 34JJ which was pretty tight, but this one the band is huge. if it had any sort of support in the band it might work okay but to get any support from this one I'd have to size down to 32 I think. yikes!

The only cute thing about it is the design and the color. Like it looks hella cute from the front but nah, this ain't it. This is officially the worst "bra/bralette" ever made.

Maybe if you are really short and about a size 30DD this will work for you lol.

    • OMG so sorry that it was such failure for you. Also ... "I am not that tall, 175cm." Ehm so here average womens height is 164cm - so I'd consider 10cm over average kinda tall, could be different in your country?
I personally feel neither tall or short at 169cm even though I'm technially above average. Sorry I nitpick here.
But yes it's sad that the bra is not made for taller women. Same problem as it with Ewa straps. I hope they will make the newer styles with adjustable strap. you should give them feedback, so they take notes.
It looks kinda good though - a shame it's so uncomfortable. I have Zara which is similar to this - also it's band is sooo soft and does not much- it rides up so bad for me in a 34 band - cups are on the smaller side but because of that they keep my boobs close to chest and give some support. I only wear mine to sleep or when I only lounge around 1-2 hour before bedtime. Cannot stand more. Straps also dig in badly on me.

    • 1

175cm is still very basic height like, it's not "that" tall in the sense that, I'm not abnormally tall! I don't even see how this would fit someone who is 165cm either :P i think maybe 155 cm is okay if they are in my size range haha.

Ok, it took me a while to think whether I should comment or not.
While I understand they you’re frustrated that the bra didn’t work for you I think you’ve been to harsh with the review and will discourage many girls here from buying it.
Bravissimo did amazing job with both Zara and Flora. No other brand can provide supportive and comfy bralette for boobs larger that F and I’ll be recommending them whenever possible. myself I’m 30FF and ditched all other non wired bras and bought like 10 Zara’s and one Flora (just waiting on another colour). The bra is well designed and while maybe it’s not YET suitable for some ladies in hh-j range it certainly does amazing job up to H I’d say based on tons of reviews saying that. Panache or Freya suck, not to mention all other brands. I’ve tried their bras (still have the Freya Wild but never worn it yet for past three months as I always go for Zara instead). It’s hard to get a decent one that will not spread boobs all over your chest and you can actually go out wearing it plus it looks nice.
I also does not agree about the band. Zara has looser one while Flora uses thicker lace so less stretch in it but certainly there is a support from the band. I wonder if you got a faulty one maybe? Coz mine ticks all boxes that bralette should have.

    • 1

I really like that Bravissimo listens to customers. They have expanded the size range of many popular bras like Satine or Arla this year. I hope something like that is in the making for bralettes too. I like my Zara but it has it's issues and actually would need 32JJ/K for better fit. But it's better than any other bralette I tried so far.
alidieux Let Bravissimo know that you prefer adjustable straps on your bralettes and larger size range?
I will e-mail them again and ask for size expansion. We need to tell them there is demand for that.

    • 1

Also have to add I only wear my Zara 1-2 hours before bet time to lounge or to actually sleep in. There would be too much weight on the straps to wear longer - There needs to be a stronger band / cup construction in larger size to give more breast support and keep some weight off from straps. So I actually prefer they make a new model with improved stronger fabric, call it super bralette and have HH-L cup sizes. They sell like hot cakes I'm sure.

    • 1

Well there's quite the difference between someone who wear 30FF and 34JJ the support and whatever they will get from a bra like this.

My review is for my size, I do not comment on how this works for smaller cup bodies because just like any other bra, they fit very differently.

Personally, I think this is a HUGE fail for my size range. The band needs some sort of supportive part, it's just lace there, there's no sturdier part of it which is also why my boobs escape in the bottom of it (paired with too short straps). It needs to have something like Arla does, even if it's hidden behind the lace on the front, that would help a lot. But the biggest issue with this bra is the straps. I think in this day and age they have no excuse for not including adjustable straps. Every comment on their instagram about these bralettes is basically about adjustable straps.

I think we're both entitled to our experiences with this bra and any other bra. Maybe it's harsh but I'm not gonna sugar coat it because I did have a really terrible experience with this bra and no bra will work for every size, so I think others who are in my size range and height should be aware that this probably won't work for them.

    • In my return/exchange email I provided feedback about this aswell, with adjustable straps and bigger sizes and the flimsy band.

I am getting the Bravissimo Sara bra which has underwires but I think it'll be comfortable enough for being home because it's a microfibre fabric triangle/plunge style.

I also wear and enjoy my Fantasie bralette. I wear it to the store and stuff, it's great! I wish it came in a little bigger cup then it would be perfect but it's still miles better than this Flora bralette.

I tried on my Bravissimo Sleep bra again aswell and I think one of the issues I'm having with Bravissimo is that they're trying to smoosh my boobs close to my chest aswell, they're not very projected bralettes. If I loosen the straps on that one, the band part rolls on itself (from the top side down, not the underside). However it's also better than flora because it does have a more supportive band.

    • alidieux Yeah I get you’re claiming it’s a fail for a large size but then you said at the end the bra is probably gonna work for someone who is 30DD and very short. if I would’ve never tried these bralettes, based on your review especially seeing that last sentence it would totally put me off buying it .
So in my comment I’ve tried to correct that the bra does work for boobs larger than 30DD

Great review! Thank you very much!
I have similar issues with my Zara - if I put it in, it's decent. but the boobs push it down and down until the band rides up and the straps cut into the shoudlers very painfully.
Flora looks great on your and it's visible that the materials are stronger. I hope if Bravissimo gets good feedback from the HH/J crowd, they will expand the size range to JJ/K. I'm glad to hear that the band is firmer so I can try 34HH/J.

alisa I'm cautiously optimistic. I *adore* that red so I have to force myself to be especially objective. I'll def update here when I get the 32 HH/J.
