Having a blog...

I've had a blog for nearly a year and don't have nearly as many posts as I would like to. I don't get bras often because of poor funds and can't go out to stores because of my disability, but I do want to do more posts. What would be good ideas?

  • Invite guest reviews! I try on a lot of bras and sometimes I want to write about them, but I know I don't want to maintain a blog, so it winds up in Bratabase reviews or trickling out in response to questions. I bet there are people who would also like to write about their bra sizing epiphanies to a larger audience, without having to start their own blogs.

Another option is to condense some information which is floating around, but which isn't very organized. Look at some topics where you know the information is available in bra communities, but which isn't well known to a wider audience. Your blog might then become a resource point bra-fitting activists will point people to.

You could try interviewing people from Bratabase or other blogs, or running surveys and getting the results. I know people have done surveys on common bra sizes, but there are certainly other things you can ask which it would benefit us to know.

You can write about what you want, which doesn't exist. Maybe you could do some drawings, to really try to convey your ideas of how to solve the world's underwear problems.

Or discuss the politics of breasts: how our view of bra sizing is distorted, breast size stereotyping, breasts in public, what you wish you had known when you were younger and so on. Your post the other day about hateful comments was very well handled so I think you're a good person to tackle these topic.

(Do you know what else you should do? Mention your blog URL every chance you get. You didn't mention it in this post and although you do have it linked as 'website' in your Bratabase profile, you could mention it a bit more in the text section.)

I notice that some bloggers get free samples to review, so building up your blog might help with giving you more opportunities to review bras, although of course you should do it because you want to not because you hope you might someday get some bras out of it.

  • I don't think I have received such a wonderful and helpful comment yet.

I hadn't thought of guest posts, and that's always a good idea I see. I'm rarely ever able to get my hands on good bras. And if you would like to do guest post that would be lovely, email me at voluptuouslythin@yahoo.com

Thank you so much for all these wonderful ideas.
