Tell me about firmness
Is breast firmness more about plasticity or compressibility? I have some of the former and much more than I used to have, so I thought my breasts were getting softer, but I still don't fit well in padded bras and I basically have none of the latter, so maybe they behave as firm breasts after all? I have to order all my bras online, so a better understanding of this would help my research. Thanks!

I think that squish generally tends to indicate highly mobile and well...squishy....tissue (example semi bra related: a corset on someone with a lot of squish can usually get a lot of reduction). So you can compress squish and move squish, but I'm not certain that it applies to firmness - that's more a matter of density.
Most padded bras are designed so that the padding is actually taking up some of the space meant for your breasts. I don't know why they do this with bra designs, but a lot of manufacturers do it. It's also something that I feel happens with the t-shirt bras as well. The more 'molding' that a t-shirt bra cup has, the less space it allots for ones boobs. Then things can get even more problematic because padded and t-shirt bras conceal many of the more subtle indicators of fit.
Hmm.... my breasts are not very firm at all and they change their shape to match the cup to some degree and they are very squishy. Molded cups are usually not good for me but structured, padded cups are.
As was just mentioned, most padded bras run small, its usually just a matter of finding the right size.
I'm sorry if I didn't exactly answer your question, I just believe it is a mixture of both, at least it is for my breasts.
