Yes, I wonder why...
Maybe because of lack of proper bras? I really hope good bra fitting will be tought at school or something.

  • it would be so easy to add that to sex ed, only like another 10 minutes added to the lesson could help the problem
we were given and shown how to use deodorant, pads, tampons, of all things, why not bras too.

  • Wait..whaaatt??? They really decided that it was necessary to show the proper use of deodorant, pads, and tampons?

My mom turned red and almost purple when I asked her to buy a certain brand that didn't have applicators - the tampax back then only expanded length-wise and it was uncomfortable in the higher absorbencies. You'd think I'd asked her to watch porn with me. Or something else totally inappropriate for a mother and daughter to do together.

I think that a lot of women are sold on the idea of how much better they'll feel after getting a reduction, and this is by their doctors! Sure, most people on the planet could probably lose 10lbs, but a good bra might mean those 10lbs can go from other places on the body. I haven't known many women who have done the reduction surgery, and only one of them was in a size that I'd consider the surgery to be a good idea...She was in high school with a 28K and only 4'11", and her mom got even bigger after pregnancy so who knows what this poor girl would have had to deal with if not for the reduction. At least the doctor was sensible and didn't try and give her what they considered the "right size" for her body. None of the few others who have done it were at all happy with the outcome, one even got implants later because the doctor thought she should be a lot smaller and removed quite a bit.

GET THE RIGHT SIZE BRA - no lengthy recovery after surgery under general anesthesia, don't have to worry about whether or not your insurance covers the cost, and embrace whatever genetics and God gave you. Oh, and let the lady in the store do her thing and help you put some bras on as you're trying to find your size - it's not like she's groping you like it's a lap dance at a strip club.
