So, now that I'm 18 (woo!) I want to start a bra/lingerie blog. What platforms do people like best? I only know Tumblr, and not many bra blogs use it, so I'd love feedback. I guess I would cater to small band (26/28) people as well as cheapskates like me. Any tips or what people look for in bra blogs would be great! Thanks everyone <3

  • Personally, as a fellow cheapskate (despite my champagne tastes!) I am always on the lookout for detailed fit reviews and extensive brand overviews. As a bargain hunter, I need as much info as possible about different bras that could work for me, so that I can instantly identify them and snap them up when they are on super duper clearance :-D I think this is one way that Brasihate has built up such a following. I'm not implying that her entire readership is composed of bargain hounds like me (ha!) but for any lingerie lover with a fuller cup size, she provides a very attractive kind of content due to the detailed, extensive info on her blog about many different bras, different brands and different types of designs.

However, since you're also targeting an underserved size range, I think another cool way to garner a following would be to keep a running count of brands/bras/retailers that do make smaller bands, with regular spotlight features on new offerings in your size range.

Also, if you are able to build up the technical knowledge and vocab, you might think about doing regular features where you analyze the common fit issues that are peculiar to the people in your target size range and discuss the design of bras in this range. I often read here on Bratabase about the differences in design and structure from one size range to another, but I don't think I've seen a ton of detailed explanation about that on blogs. I think you could set yourself apart if you provided helpful info that people newly fitted into 28-and-under bands would be able to use to immediately select bras that could work for their shape.
