And so ends my Comexim adventure... What next?

It was always a long shot, but they finally arrived, and no no no. No no. No.
Amelia at Wellfitting was really friendly and prompt in responding to my emails, and after giving them my measurements this was her recommendation:
"Comexim band sizes are very tight so I would definitely recommend band EU 90/ US 40. Right now the biggest cup we can manufacture right now in this band size is J, but I think it might be 1-2 sizes too small. "
I mostly wear an 80 or a 34 so was a bit dubious, but the info I found about Comexim hidden in the nooks and crannies of the interweb seemed to echo the tight band riff, so I went ahead and ordered the 90J and a sister size too (85K - no JJ on planet C) just in case.
And Amelia was right. Girl knows her elastic; 90 was snug, 85 definitely too small.
And the cups?

Lets just say if anyone is interested in Comexim Basic (170) beige in what I estimate to be about 34H-ish and 32HH-ish, let me know. They're going into the 'base then back in the mail.
Sadly the 90J seems to be the absolute biggest size available (Amelia should have said 'the biggest cup we can manufacture AT ALL', grr) so I can't buy a bigger band and alter it, and although they customise I've not seen anyone ever get an entirely different size - I imagine they don't have the wires for it. For a simple T-shirt bra I really like it but I guess for me the search continues.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a light-weight T-shirt bra in 34JJ-K? I've tried Curvy Kate Daily Boost (CK1801) but the shape is not great, and I've ordered a couple of EM's to try but advice from the big brassiere band is welcome.

  • Hmm, I'm a 30K in most UK brands and I wear a 60P/65O in Comexim. I'd have thought you'd probably need about a 75O/P (or sister size where the band runs tight) based on most people's experiences, but sadly I believe an 80M is the biggest cup they custom make (which would probably still be 1-2 cups too small).

When you say you're looking for a t-shirt bra, what exactly do you mean? Specifically, the traditional lightly padded t-shirt bra? Or just something supportive with smooth cups?

  • Oh T-shirt bras above a J-cup? I'm interested too :) As far as I know there are not many options at all. :S I wear 32K/32KK in UK brands and tried 75M and 75N from Comexim (custom made directly ordered from their website)... neither really worked. 75 band was okay for me, but the bras were not supportive enough for my size, 75M being too small in cups. Daily Boost did not work for me either.

Elomi brought out a T-shirt bra : Elomi Bijou Banded Moulded Bra (8720) sadly only up to H-Cup :/
