So I have a question I'm hoping someone can help me with: I've noticed that what really takes away from the support I get from my bras is the center gore's triangle shape. I've lost a bit of weight and I feel like my breasts are closer together (which is weird because they're not really much smaller) and toward the bottom of the triangle is so far apart that it cuts into my breasts, doesn't sit flat, and causes me to feel unsupported. Can this be fit easily by someone who doesn't really know how to sew or should I just try to find different types of bras?

  • Some bras have a wider gore than others, and the shape of the wire also comes into play. But you can easily stitch up the gore (triangle) so it's closer by pinching it and sewing up that part. There are tutorials around--I don't have one handy, though. I've done it and it works but keep in mind the band will be that much shorter and the cups will often sit slightly differently.

  • I am the same. Wish they went straight instead of our onto the triangle. Stitching it together does help a lot, but it also changes the angle of the underwires so it alters the fit a bit.
