This is the problem

http://www.wizardofbras.com/fittingschool.aspx

So I got on Yahoo answers when I'm bored and decided to check out this one question where a girl who figured she was a 36C was having problems finding bras that properly fit her...the first to respond to her posted the link above (she also posted her measurements and she's actually closer to a 30FF or G).
They claim they're a fitting school but do so many things wrong! First, they measure above your breasts to get a band measurement. They don't ever measure below your breast (some companies do both and use both). They never address other measures of bad fit besides some mysterious "swelling" that happens when your bra doesn't like your body and back fat.
I seems that this is the biggest reason why so many US girls have trouble admitting and finding their correct size. I'm lucky enough to live by a store (granted, I can no longer go there as they refuse to sell me what I want) that at least knows what proper fit looks like but for the majority who have to turn to the internet, there is no hope.

  • It is troubling how much time and resources they have poured into a website that dispenses misinformation. I mean.... How do THEIR bras fit? Yeesh.
