Comexim, EM, European sizing, whaaaat?

I have one padded Ewa Michalak bra and two unpadded ones. As soon as I've written this I'm going to write them up in the bratabase. Were I to order another EM I'd go with an 80JJ which I'd expect to be almost too tight but better than an 85.
I've been thinking about trying a Comexim but haven't made time to (I understand there's some emailing and Google Translate involved) - then I saw here references to 'Wellfitting' and zipped straight over to find Hey Hey some lovely ladies will do the heavy lifting for me and chuck in free postage to my country, wheee! Now in my blissful ignorance I might have just ordered an 80JJ thinking 'it's Polish, it's as good a guess as any'. BUT.

Wellfitting sells Comexim by UK sizes and have on their site a handy dandy calculator as well as a complete size grid with helpful pop-ups telling me the actual measurements of each size. I have a 90cm / 35.4" break-the-tape (is that BTT?) underbust and a 122cm / 48" gently measured overbust. Wellfitting tells me I need a 40 band and am sized out of the range cup-wise. But all my current bras that fit me well and comfortably are 34JJ-Ks, except for the previously mentioned EMs.
I figure my breast weight adds to the stretch, hence wearing a 34 with a 35.4 underbust (there's some squish in there too!) and were my cupsize smaller I'm sure I'd be looking at 36 bands. And the EM 80s are very snug but I'm pretty sure an 85 would ride up on me.
Can anyone advise me as to whether the sizing of EM and Comexim is comparable, or if I really should be custom ordering a 40-something-or-other, or 90, or whatever? and if so, how best can I calculate my cupsize?

  • Wellfitting tends to add inches and it's not always right,it depends on how much room you need to breathe and all.
Which bra were you going to try?
I tried the basic,I'm actually selling one in a 75L that is around a 36HH UK size.Three other people tried it before me and the band stretched out about 2 inches from that and then another inch from me wearing it...so if it's a basic I would suggest ordering down and using an extender.

  • Wellfitting's entire business model is pretty much based on the fact that it is owned and run by Polish ladies who SPEAK ENGLISH and can walk you through all this :-) THe calculator is kinda crazy but I have rarely heard of anyone who was unhappy with the size they ordered after talking to the Wellfitting folks. Just contact them, tell them your measurements and what usually fits you in EM and whatever other brand they ask about, and I'm sure they will hook you up :-)
