Shape Ponderings

When I joined this site and was inputting my measurements, I was like, "Yeah, measurements, this makes sense." But then I got to the shape part, which I've seen similar things to before, and again came up stumped. I have no idea how to tell what my shape is.
Round or pointy? Um, I feel like I'm somewhere in the middle. Full on top or bottom? Can I be full in the middle? I've never noticed feeling particularly full in one place or the other. Wide or narrow root? No idea. High or low nipples? I think I just have "normal" nipples. Close or separate boobs? They use two fingers as the reference, and I find mine to be exactly two fingers apart in the middle.
I feel like the biggest one to figure out would be full on top or bottom, because I see a lot of people reference that influencing how a bra fits.

  • This is indeed a very normal "problem" to have.
You might be interested in this blog post from last year:

I am in huge debt to get this live, but it has been moving very slowly sadly.

  • Yes you can be full in the middle. I'm neither full on the sides nor the middle (so I have really tall skinny boobs). If you had high nipples I'm pretty sure you would know (it's one of those things that can be really bothersome because even if the bra fits you other dimensions, sometimes my aereolae escape even though my bra gapes). Wide and narrow root took me forever to figure out. My best suggestion would be to bend over, mark where you think your breast tissue starts, see where that line falls when you stand up straight. Lifting your arms and the push test can also help. If the pictures of the Panache Fern in 30HH are yours, I would say you have a medium wide root.

Also regarding the area in the middle, I can fit my entire hand into between my breasts, but they are extremely close together. This is because I don't have much tissue in the middle and my breasts are splayed.

I'd say the most important ones are root width, breast depth, and fullness.

Also if by full in the middle you meant evenly top and bottom full, we just call that even fullness, which functionally is more full on top just because you'll need more open on top bras anyway.

Looking at what I'm fairly certain are you pictures (by the way, have you tried pulling up the Satine, it looks like you're wearing it too low, if you can't I wouldn't call it a good fit), you look evenly full (not "aggressively" full in any direction) and that you have a medium wide root with medium almost shallow breasts. BIHAL has a similar-ish shape, with a lot more top fullness, but otherwise, her reviews might be useful).
