I have measured myself several times and each time I plug in my measurements into a bra calculator ( a sophisticated pair, butterfly collection, etc.) I always end up measuring a 36G or 38FF but I have an @ elomi cleo in a 36FF and the cups are too big. In my best fitting bra which is an unlined 3 part @elomi@ that is a 38E, I measure 44 across my bust and 36 below. It seems like bra calculators always put me in a larger cup. I have full on the bottom boobs with pretty soft tissue. Should I disregard the calculators?

  • Calculators and measurements are a starting point, but not a final say. If 38E is a good fit, a. 36F is the same volume. It might also be a shape thing. Have you tried other brands than Elomi ? I hear elomi has wide wires. Good if your breast roots are wide, less helpful if they are narrow ( like me). Also if you have more lower fullness some bras can gape at the top- but that size in a different model can be fine. (I found the shape guide at the ABTF refdit helpful in narrowing down what bras to look for for my shape).

  • Because of my shape,I sometimes need to size down,as well. Also, different brands will be bigger or smaller...I've seen some 38GG and 36JJ's have the same cup depth (a 36H is a sister size of a 38GG in a brand that uses double letters),so there you go.Plus the fabric and shape of the cup can make it fit differently.
