Sep 09, 2013 Half-spheres

Dear Bra Manufacturers,

While I know there are women out there whose breasts resemble half-spheres attached to their chests, WE ARE NOT ALL SHAPED LIKE THAT.

Please stop expecting my short boobs to be as tall as they are wide.

When you design the bra cups like that, my boobs cannot provide the counterbalance in the top halves of the cups, so everything from straps to wires to tops of the bands WILL BE WRONG, oh, so wrong.

Center gores will turn inward.
Wires will reach back.
The tops of the bands will be loose even if the bottoms are tight.
Straps will be effectively MORE WIDESET because they do not sit forward, projected from the body in the way you expect them to.
Cups will gape and make us think we need smaller ones.
And then we get smaller ones and our boobs are smashed upward and inward, causing unnecessary pain and damaging our breasts.

Please. Someone. Anyone.
Wake up someone in the bra industry.
There is a market out there. Several, actually.
Short and deep. Tall and shallow. Narrow and projected.
If you build it, they will come.

Sincerely,
A frustrated bra customer.

  • Oh please. I'm fed up with having bra cups cutting into my armpits and only the bottom half filled, or conversely, having the bras being the right height and spilling out in the middle.

My perimeter is 1.61 and width 1.03 in the dimensions experiment. I JUST NEED DEEP CUPS OKAY? Not wide, not tall, just deep.

  • I'd like some bras to take pronounced tails of spence into consideration. My basic root shape is not round and it is not oval. The bottom part is like a half circle, and then it turns into an ink blotch or something. I doubt I'm the only woman with a narrow, projected breast, and really tall and wide tails (my current best estimate of my shape).
