Sep 07, 2013 I'm an Esty Lingerie Design Competition Finalist!
On a whim, I decided to enter the Esty Lingerie Design Competion. After all, who wouldn't want free stuff and the chance to have their design manufactured? I was very surprised and pleased to be chosen as a finalist. There are 16 finalists in total featured on Esty Lingerie's Facebook Page. Below is my entry. The winner will be decided by number of Facebook likes by September 30th. Please vote for me! <3
Here's the text that goes with my entry:
I was inspired by dandelions. They are ubiquitous and sometimes considered a nuisance, but they have their own kind of beauty. As a child, I loved picking dandelions and blowing the seeds into the wind. I would occasionally kick the stems of dandelions and be mesmerized by the scattering seeds. In the language of flowers, the dandelion symbolizes happiness. My design is fun and youthful, just like the dandelion. Little bows and scalloped edges are subtle and feminine details. The sheer lilac mesh of the bra and panties is feminine and flirty. The rich, deep purple satin trim and bows add a touch of luxury. The whimsical, embroidered dandelions are highlight of the pieces. The seamed bra provides uplift and support, so this set is functional, pretty and great for everyday wear or special occasions.
