Sticky Bras & Sizing

Most dresses that I like to wear to formal events and weddings are all backless or have some sort of strap situation that makes wearing a strapless bra impossible. I'm really glad sticky bras exist for this reason.

When I hear music and see a dance floor, there is NO stopping me! So going braless is not an option haha. (At weddings, people usually remember me for nailing all the moves to Spice Girls "Wannabe" and my fitness tracker thinks I'm doing cardio lol). I'm tuberous and saggy, so I need a little more than pasties.

I wear a 30DD most of the time and notice that most sticky bras only have a cup size and no band size associated with them. The store near me only sells up to a D, but the cup was too big for someone of my proportions. What is the "default" band size on a sticky bra? Am I supposed to go by my "social" cup size aka "she looks like a B cup?"

  • I own a few Ewa Michalak bras that came with cookies for my size. I put them over my boobs and determined that if a sticky bra was the same size it would be okay and I could go smaller but probably not any bigger. I use the measurements of the cookies to compare when buying other pads or bra materials online. I also pay attention to the non sticky part since those vary in size and you may need a larger area. Otherwise they stick right to the areola and it's painful to peel off at the end of the night.

  • I was always under the impression that most generic sticky bras are modeled after an average 34 band size. A lot of sticky bra manufacturers will have a chart that can help you decide what size is best. For mine, I went with the closest sister size of a 34DDD.
