Narrow shoulders equals straight back?
I think I've realized today that I need tighter bands on top of a bra, but looser on the bottom. Then I thought about how logic that is considered my narrow shoulders. Then I was like "whoa conical back equals broad shoulders so narrow shoulders must equal straight back?"

I think you're onto something :) I have narrow shoulders and from every single shot taken of me from behind, my back is straight :P I used to envy those with conical backs, it's like an optical illusion that the waist is even smaller then. Now I've actually come to like my straight ribcage/back :)
I definitely think that's a good hypothesis. Unless maybe you've also got an absurdly small waist? But I've got fairly narrow shoulders as well and I always find that the bottom of a bra band tends to cut in even if the top has slack because while the bra is tapered, I am not. Then again, I also have little to no waist definition (think roll of paper towels from the underbust down) so I'm not sure whether that factors in as well.
