1) It's always a good idea to use different passwords on all sites.
But 2) There hasn't been a data breach on the site (at least that I'm aware of)
The effect of getting logged out is a side effect of how sessions are coded on the site. They aren't too persistent and when I restart the server or make changes some sessions can be lost. I never thought of it as a huge deal having to re-log in. So I never really worried about that.
About then notification from Google I'm not sure how that came to happen.
I wish they came to ask here or to me before going to another site and claiming that such thing happened without more information :(
To add another clarification. The way passwords are stored here on the site is using a "One way hash", which means that even if someone went to the database it would be impossible to obtain your passwords. So your password could not be revealed, it is impossible to know.
