ABTF puts me in a 28G (UK) and Bratabase (with basically the same loose, snug and tight measurements) recommends 30FF - 30G with full recommendations including 28 F, FF, G, GG ,H for Pananche, Cleo, Freya etc. and then 65G, GG and 70 FF for EW, 65J - 60K - 65HH for Comexim and 65H for Chantelle.

According to guidelines I come out even to FOT however all my boob is side and bottom which is why I'm guessing none of the bras I recently tried worked for me. Also I thought I had narrow roots but when I do the hand press of breast to chest my natural crease is just before the start of my underarm so I'm not sure.

Recent try ons...

Panache Envy 30 FF

The band fit snug but ok, center lies flat and had good boob separation. I filled the bottom of the cup however the top where the lace is was empty/gaping. It also made my shape a bit too pointy instead of round. If I pulled the fabric on the side of the bra that is between the strap and underwire (under my arm) a tiny amount it rounded my boobs and the bra fit perfectly.

The 30 F gave me slight quad boob in my larger breast but still a bit empty in the top where the lace is in my smaller breast. Again center was flat and boobs were separated.

30 E was too small in the cups however I still had the issues with a bit of extra fabric in the underarm area. Its like needing to take in the waist of pants a tiny bit.

Panache Jasmine was pretty much a repeat of Envy.

Cleo Marcie 30 FF

Again, filled out the bottom only to have it gap on top. This bra also came up to high in my underarm area. Not the wire but the fabric between the strap and underwire. Also, this bra did not give me the separation of my two boobs like the Envy or Jasmine did.

Cleo Marcie 30 F

I fill out the bottom and top still gaps and again if I pull the fabric a tiny bit under my arm like I'm taking it in 1/8 or 1/4 inch it fits much better. I did find the band more comfortable in the Marcie.

Based on this info can someone please help in where I go from here. I'm so frustrated and ready to give up. :-(

Loose 28.5

Snug 28

Tight 27.75

Standing 34.5

Leaning 37

Lying 34

Size recommendation 28G - UK

  • Welcome to bratabase. I hope that you become more acquainted with bras and how they fit your body. For folks here to make well-intentioned recommendations and observations, measurements of bras/yourself and pictures are very necessary! Have a look at the "fitting help" section and how the better posting are structured. Start with what you think is your best fitting bra. Unfortunately, the poster has to put some work into it to get meaningful feed-back! Good luck.

  • Envy is a tall bra, and Marcie is an open bra best for full on top shapes. Envy and Jasmine are both pretty deep at the apex. If you have soft and pendulous full on bottom tissue, you will sink into the bottom of the cups and by the time you’re at the top of the cups, you will have run out of tissue. This is a factor in both the pointy aspect and loose fabric on top aspect. Jasmine and Envy fit pretty similarly, so if one fits, the other one is likely to.

However, have you tried the 28FF/G in the bras mentioned? It might just give you the extra band tension you need.

I would definitely suggest adding the bras to the database and measure, then post pictures for a fit check. But my initial thoughts are shape mismatch. Also, recommendations on new users can be a bit vague until it learns more about what fits and does not fit.
