the straps of a lot of bras start under my arm pit, and so they really hurt.... any advice? like, balconettes are the worst for me

Is the cup too wide?
They do this to me, also. I have an inverted triangle back and I think that contributes to the discomfort I feel under my arm as the strap pulls up the cup. I found some relief from ordering bands several sizes larger. But, that creates several other problems.
