Ever shrinking underbust
When I first started my bra journey I measured at about a 37 loosely and a 35 tightly, over time I've shrunk. I'm not quite sure how but today I measure 33 inches tightly and relaxed, and 35 inches if I inhale. I'm fine with my ribcage measurement shrinking but I really don't want to venture into the 30 band size range, because that sounds like a pain, I know that sounds extreme but I've shrank 2 inches in 5-6 months. Also I have 34 bands that are still really tight..soo.. This should be interesting..

The same thing, although not to such an extent, happened to me! I think one part of it was that I actually pulled the tape very snugly when asked to :)
And the other I assume to have been some kind of migration. Before bra fitting my bands were soo large that it was super easy for my breast tissue to sit under the wires (it sounds painful but since my band wasn't snug, I didn't even feel pain. -.-). So when my band was snug and I scooped and swooped my tissue into the cups, it stopped residing under the wires and thereby my underbreast measurement became smaller.
It actually doesn't have to have been breast tissue. Ordinary subcutaneous fat is enough: squeeze any kind of fat anywhere on the body tightly enough for a long enough period of time and it will be 'moulded' to sit above (or below, for that matter) the 'squeeze line'. Think 'muffin top' caused by low, tight waistbands on jeans, for example.
