For years I've felt like my bras weren't really giving me the support that I needed, but every time I went to a store to get measured they would insist that I was a 36C. At the beginning of June I ran across this blog post (http://sameatschildren.tumblr.com/post/45962915522/do-it-now-guide-to-proper-bra-fit-and-measuring) and decided to whip out the measuring tape and see where I ended up. I measured into a UK 32 FF/G, that's a US 32H/I! No wonder I felt like I didn't have the support I needed. I shared my findings with my mother who while agreeing that I needed new bras, did not think that I needed bras "that huge".

I've ordered some bras on online, and checked out the local Nordstrom for some bras in my size range and was amazed at how much lighter my chest felt, and how much my posture improved with the right size. It was heartbreaking to have to put my old bra back on after trying on ones that actually fit.

I'm waiting for some of the ones that I ordered to come in and hoping that I can find some keepers!

  • You should show her the Bra Band Project so she knows that 32FF/G isn't "that huge" :)

  • You can also check the bra listings here for cheap bras in your new size. Good luck :)
