Not big-busted and/or tall enough to be considered an adult

Okay... This just happened today haha. I'm not too upset about it but still a bit. I was rushing through the H&M racks (checking out bras to see what's new) and one of the cashiers went to get something for a customer, it just happened to be so that she needed to take the same "route" as me. It felt a bit awkward but I knew she didn't mean to be :P She followed my exact footsteps because that was where she was headed, and I was heading for the exit. She could sense that I was feeling a bit awkward because my steps kept getting faster, and I'm sure she's a sweet lady but she obviously had to call me "lillen" at the end of the sentence. Lillen is Swedish and means "little one". "Oh I'm sorry, I'm walking right behind you, I didn't mean to make you feel followed little one" ... O_o ? I always get these kinda comments xD What's up with that? Can't I just be taken seriously sometimes, without implying that I'm cute and small? Imo it's kinda rude. Imagine the exact same scenario, except that I'd be 6 feet tall instead of 5. (183 cm instead of 152 cm) I'm preeetty sure that a working woman, in any profession, wouldn't dare or even think of saying something corresponding to me then. "Oh I'm sorry, I'm walking right behind you, I didn't mean to make you feel followed big one" ... O_o Double wtf! It's so much clearer when it's about a really tall chick. I don't know if that's just my experience... ? Any tall women here that've heard some comments about your stature in a store? Right to your face.

Also... I'm wondering... Are there some really short ladies here (below 5"3) that HAVE NOT heard comments about your height by working people? Personnel and etc. If so, do you think it's because your boobs are really large? Mine are kinda big I guess, but not big enough to raise an eyebrow.

  • I used to live in Paris during one year, and some asiatic tourists looked at me too much, I feeled like I was a viking girl or something curious and "mythologic" (I am tall). Teenagers boys giggle behind me because I am taller than them, and some want to "fight" with me, provoc me in the street, just to show their friends how they are no afraid of me. I am 22years old now, so I just think they are kids, but when I was their age, I hated that.

  • Yeah, but that's not really from professional people. That's what I was wondering :) Anyway, since we're at it... I've been ridiculed for my height as well. When I was 15 years old this is what a guy classmate told me; "You're too fucking short, you look like a kid and one would have to be a pedophile to be attracted to you"... I suppose it was intended to be hurtful, but I just kinda brushed it off. Yes, it hurt, but I knew he was being a dickhead. I've been called a dwarf several times and recently I had a fellow turning me down to join a group of friends to play football. I asked him why he was uncomfortable with me joining, I thought it could be that his friends are not friends of mine. After a long discussion he spat it out; "You're just too tiny Jenny, I wouldn't want anyone to hurt you"... Dafuq? xD I'm small, not made out of glass and I'm used to being tackled hard and handling it! For Christ's sake, I'm a football player xD So I told him, but he insisted that it'd be best for me that I wouldn't join in... -_- I guess there's bullying on both sides. But what about working people? Professional people?
