Breast shape in three dimensions, a new scheme trial

In this post by Butterfly Collection Claire says that boobs lives in three dimensions.

They can be wide, tall or deep.

Wide= wide root
Tall = high root
Deep = projected

Caution! Do not mix deep with cup depth. That would be very misleading. Wide boobs for example need very deep cups even if their boobs are not deep. (This is why cup depth rather should be called horizontal cup volume/perimeter or something)

Now:

Add to that full on top and full on bottom and I think we have a very good scheme to determine breast shape. We get these base variations:

1. Deep and full on bottom
2. Deep and full on top
3. Tall and full on bottom
4. Tall and full on top
6. Wide and full on bottom
7. Wide and full on top

I also think the word "shallow" should be added to the equation. Because you can have spread volume without fullness or you can have no volume there at all.

And when we add them all together there will be a myriad of variations. We can even split our boobs into top and bottom and say "wide full bottom, tall, wide, shallow top" (that would be me)

I will make another bra adventure with yet another scheme that says even more about cup shape than this.

Now will you just add your results and remix the theory, please <3

  • In my mind things look a bit different. Boobs can be
    - tall or sort
    - wide or narrow
    These too dimensions have to do with the root. One has to be careful here with high on chest boobs that can appear tall but are infact short - they can start high on chest and end high on chest.

    And regardless of this, they can also be
    - deep or shallow
    In terms of projection.

    So there are boobs that can be tall, wide AND deep at the same time as are all other options possible.
    Mine are quite clearly Tall, Narrow and Deep.

    Then we have categories of breast shape
    Full on top and full on bottom is about breast shape / tissue concentration. Again, everything is possible.
    Tall boobs generally are more likely to be full on top, while short ones will generally more likely be full on bottom.
    Wide boobs will generally more likely be shallow then narrow ones, especially in smaller cupsizes.

    Tissue concentration I think can all so be center full or side full. Centerfull breasts would be the ones pushing the wires from the sternum because there is not enough room (depth) right near the gore.
