Do sister sizes really work? :3

I've been eyeing some bras but they don't come in my sizing - 30D for normal bras but 30DD for pushups. The websites always recommend me to go by sister sizing (get a 32C) but I don't know if the band size will be too loose and if the cups are too small! Do they work or not?

  • It really depends on how the bra runs. It the band runs loose, then it may not, if it runs tight it might work well. Also, the width of the wires will change a bit and the strap placement as well. I find that due to my small frame with a bit of chub it works better for me to sister size down and wear an extender. This gives me the correct band size I need but narrower wires and strap/cup placement. Really, you will need to try to find out. Hope that helps some.

  • I recently purchased an 80E Ewa Michalak whose sister size is a 65G. The 65G has slightly more narrow wires than the 80E, but the depth is identical. This worked very well. And, band alterations are easy. You may be thrilled or you may be disappointed. I was thrilled and I won't hesitate to purchase a sister size again.
