Is it alright to wear bras that don't exactly fit?

I've been wondering for some time if it's alright to wear a bra that doesn't exactly fit your boob shape when it fits your cup size/band size... I have some bras that are like that and they fit really comfortably but they may not 'take care of my boobies' as much as a proper bra would. I wear T-shirts really often and no one ever sees me with my bra and panties on, so is it alright? Will it hinder breast development?

  • I am not sure if it is ok, but wearing a "not exactly fitting bra" sometimes because it is so comfy. It is my 'big band and small cup' deco 36g. I spend most of time sitting on a chair, so it is fine at the moment. However if there is a chance to walk fast or even run, my boobies in deco starts slopping painfully. Then I recall that I really need a fitting bra which properly supports and holds them.

  • I'm not really clear on what you mean by "they may not 'take care of my boobies'"; I cannot emphasize enough that what's most important is your comfort. It doesn't matter if other people see them. What matters is that you feel happy with your body and your choice in bras/clothing/etc.

So it's fine, with a caveat: it may not hinder breast development, but depending on your size there may be other side effects. Example: possible tissue migration, back pain, excessive jiggling when going down stairs, etc. But if you're comfortable, and these are "good enough," humans have lived for millennia without bras.

(Speaking as a woman who use to go running in a triangle bikini top because it was cute, I can't judge, lol)
