Wrinkling doesn't always mean the fit is wrong

Ok, so this has come to be my most important bra fitting lesson so far. Wrinkling doesn't mean my fit is wrong. It means just that my boobs are not streamlined. Whatever I do I cannot wear a bra with less bottom volume than 32J/34HH/36H and have a flat gore, quadboob or sitting on my root. It's impossible. Well if I simply just stop leaning over or stop scoping and swooping.

I get support in those super big bras even when the top is gaping and even when I sometimes have bottom wrinkling. I cannot wear smaller bras if I want to actually have my boobs inside my bra.

My boobs doesn't have the volume of 32J. They don't weigh 2 kilo each. It doesn't matter. I still am not comfortable in cups smaller.

Some people size down to get stability. I cannot do that. I need to size up to get stability. And I need to tightening the straps like madness to get rid of the top jiggle and prevent the wire distortion.

For special occasions I can size down to get cleavage.

I remember someone here saying she would be ashamed if anyone would see her with cups wrinkling. I've read things like people using straps to hide that a bra is too big. Hide?!

If I have a small waist and huge hips I can make a dress that fits that figure.

But if I have boobs with one part projecting and the other parts being "just fat" I cannot do anything what so ever to make that thing end up in a streamlined shape fitting into a bra. I cannot even alter my bras to become that shape. It's simply impossible.

To have a well fitting bra I would first need implants. And when I had that I probably even had to do some rib surgery.

PS Thank you Jillsas for being in that Venusian Glow post. Thank you t_maia MilkAndHoney for explaining the bra cuts yesterday and thank you alisa and Vee for all discussions about bra fitting the last couple of months!

  • I completely agree. :D

I am accepting simple wrinkling, though I will draw the line at actual fabric flapping in the wind unless it looks like an easy sewed fix.

At this point, I'm just trying to find bras that fit in wire and band with straps that aren't trying to saw my arms off. LOL! Those three things are hard enough variables to fit for me!

  • Branarchist <3 for following your rainbow, not every rainbow :)
drownedsalad hey, don't mock the flappy bra, those make the best air conditioning in the summertime XD
