As soon as I saw this bra I knew I had to have it. Who doesn't love pansies? The print was so cute and young. The print and the bows were what drew me to buy it, and after some sleuthing I found it in my (supposed) size and price range. The positives? The print and colours are just as amazing in real life. I like the tightness of the band and how short it was. The straps appear to be nice and supportive and the gore tacks. The bad? I'm a 30f. I chose that on the Amazon drop down. There was no indication that this ...was in UK sizing. I was sent a 30G-I am so not a 30G. The cups are HUGE-they gape so bad it's ridiculous. Based on that, I sized down two sizes (mainly because the next one down was way more expensive). I really want this bra to work. It's gorgeously fun and is extremely comfy even in the wrong size. I played around with the cups and reconfigured they look like they can give me a great shape. I'll be devastated if the 30dd does not fit.
UPDATE: A user (wild_muses ) was extremely helpful. She said that she thought that two sizes down would be far too small. I decided to just humour this thought and tried the bra on again. I hemmed, I hawed, and then-epiphany! I had been pulling the bra up near the strap trying to simulate a smaller cup and then it occurred to me to tighten the straps even farther. So, after tightening the straps almost all the way (can still comfortably fit two fingers in them), the bra fit! It was like a miracle. So hopefully I can cancel the exchange and keep this bra. My only issue now is the bra is slightly pointy but it looks natural under clothes. I've updated the pictures to represent how the bra fits now. Read more 220 more words
This is my first longline ever. I really like the look of it but it's so dang hard to do up! I'm just going to keep messing around with it until I find the best way to do so. I got it in a swap and I think that if I had been actually buying it I would have gotten a 30 back. Luckily for me the 28 is Freya's typical stretchy band and it stretches to 29.5. There are 6(!) hooks and 3 rows of eyes which is very nice. The print extends all the way to the back of the bra which is very nice and ...all the trimmings are black. It's a nice, soft pattern that's not garish. The band is comfortably snug but flips up a little if I do something like bend over. The wires are a little wider than I need but not bad at all. I'm surprised the gore tacks because it is very wide at an inch. There's some overall wrinkling in the cups and on my right side I can't quite fill the bottom. I get a little quad on my right side too if I stand up straight but other than that it's a near perfect fit. Perfectly spherical and comfy. I think I was built for halfcups! The straps are wide and very long but comfortable with no digging. I get a nice subtle cleavage too. Another grip is the lace at the top won't lay down and I wish the back was a leotard back because I think it would look prettier. It looks a little awkward with the straps attached like they are. I was going to wear it as a crop top for drinks and such with friends but I'm not sure how actually comfortable I'd be with that. Overall, I'm very pleased with this bra. Just gotta figure out the best way to hook it up.
Edit: After wearing it for an hour or so, the band is either too tight or too constricting. I think it's the latter because it stretches to the perfect length. I must put this up for swap because it won't get too much wear from me. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Read more 266 more words
EDIT: I've come to realize this bra is too wide by maybe 3/4 of an inch and the bottom is definitely too shallow. I still love this bra despite it's less than perfect fit.
This bra is an odd fit, and I am slightly disappointed. I can fill the cups pretty well, but I get a weird wrinkle down at the bottom which I tried to capture a photo of. It was really bad at first but I was able to minimize it by tightening the straps a lot and it is not noticeable under clothes. The straps are VERY wide set and I have to angle them in ...slightly. If I order another Comexim the straps will have to be moved in. The band is rather firm at only 29 inches. I have issues doing it up and I definitely don't want it any tighter than this. There are 3 rows and 4 columns. I had originally requested a 2 by 4 set of hook and eyes because I think I didn't need the support of 3 however this is not an issue. The wings are low enough to stay out of my armpit so even though the straps are wide set there's not too much armpit harassment going on. The gore, surprisingly, is not a hard tack like all the other bras I have. It soft tacks but it does not feel like this is compromising support. The wires are perfect. They encase my breast tissue perfectly and don't poke under my arms. It doesn't give a round shape like I was expecting but instead a more of an upside down 7 shape. I wasn't the biggest fan of this at first, but it's starting to grow on me. It looks AMAZING under clothes although I'm realizing that I like that vintagey perky-almost-pointy look. The cups seem shallow at only 9.25 inches but I'm not sure if this is just a thing that half cups do. It doesn't contain all my breast, or doesn't appear to. As you can see in the photos, I get bulges on the side. I'm not entirely sure what they are. I can scoop them in, but they don't stay contained. Appearance wise, it's okay. I'm honestly not sure why I ordered this particular bra. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty, but not my cup of tea. I wish I had ordered something lacy instead. The quality is okay, there's a few loose threads. Will this be my first Comexim? Probably not, especially if I can figure out these minor nit-picky things. I think the size is spot on, especially if I find a deeper style. The bra is super comfortable, and I'm overall very pleased with it, minus the wrinkle at the bottom and the wide set straps. I will be keeping this bra. Read more 363 more words
I've had this bra for like a million years now (okay, like 2) and I just now (like a month ago) had to move to the tightest hook. I got it back in the day when I had no idea about bras but I think it fit me pretty well. Now, it's at least one size too small but I still wear it because I only have two that fit and I don't want to wear them every other day. It's comfortable and very durable. I've been machine washing it (gasp) mostly and I've had no problem. There's some wrinkling in the cups but that's noticeable even when ...it's off me. The band is relatively firm considering its age but I feel like it's riding up, especially now that I'm wearing much tighter "30" bands that measure at ~28. I really like the shape this gives me, even now being too small. The seams are noticeable under clothes but I don't really care. The wires don't poke and the gore tacks. The one thing I no longer like about this bra is the design-I'd buy it in the next size up but I'm loathe to wear it for even longer because I'm not a fan of the way it looks. Other than that, it's still a pretty solid bra that I will continue to wear until I can afford to get a new bra in my correct size. Read more 130 more words
This bra is almost perfect for me. It's gorgeous both on and off and the comfort is unbelievable. The wire perfectly encircles my breasts and doesn't poke me under the arms. The gore tacks (the underwires are placed pretty close together-they almost touch) which is something that doesn't happen often. The bra provides moderate support and the cup is fine on top. However, the band on this bra is tight, something that doesn't bother me too much because I know it should stretch eventually. The straps are only partially adjustable. All these I can live with and I would call it the perfect bra for me if not ...the shape it gives me. I feel like sadly, it's shape is not compatible with my shape. It doesn't really give me a round profile but it's so comfy that I don't really care about that. What I do care about is that somehow this bra gives me very slight quadboob *in* the cup itself-even though the top lies smoothly, there's not enough stretch or something in the middle seam that causes this slight quadboob. Because of this, if I could have returned the bra I would have but as it was unreturnable, and as, quite frankly, everything else is perfect I have chosen to keep this bra instead of reselling it. Another Freya betrayal. I had my doubts, but someone on Facebook pointed out that yep, this is a size too small. It's super cute, but on me it is too low coverage and not very secure. The straps are wide and ugly in the back and they aren't very secure-they slip around too much for what I need but I need my straps super short so if you adjust yours halfway or so this wouldn't be a problem. If I have the straps as short as I would like, I get quad that is visible under shirts. The band is stretchy, I could feel it was stretchy but because of the longline it still felt secure. All in all, it's a super cute bra but I'd need the next size up. I'm so bummed about this but I know I can't wear it because of how low cut/insecure/jiggly it is. Such a shame because not only is it cute but it is super comfy. Full review on my blog as usual.
This bra was an experiment, and I'm super bummed it didn't work out. My CHPS in 65FF quad the teeniest bit but based on an experience with an S style in 65G I was afraid the wires in a CHP 65G would be too long and stabby. I found this 70FF, one cup and band size up, cheap on reddit so I tried it out. However, the band, which I thought ran firmer, runs almost true to size. It is too big for me and the cups are too big too. It's gorgeous and still in great condition but sadly does not fit me. Full review on my blog (they looked fun so I finally started my own!). http://shortnstacked.blogspot.com/2016/06/ewa-michalak-chp-mak-70ff.html
I bought this bra at the beginning of the summer (or whenever VS had that major sale). I normally don't buy their bras, in fact this was my first (and probably last) one. The straps are, for some reason, not fully adjustable. There's really no reason for this and it definitely impacts the fit. When I tried it on in store, it fit well enough and was comfy and cheap enough for me to justify the purchase. However, I now have the band on the tightest or second tightest (of 4) hooks because I feel like the band is too loose. When I bought it, I was definitely ...not aware that my ribcage is 28.5 inches, not 30. Before I realized that the straps in the back converted (no one told me this very important fact when I bought it), I had to wear it on the shortest setting. Even then the straps were too long and this effected the fit. The cups gapped up top and I had a lot of empty space. I assumed it was the wrong shape for me or even a size too big. I still wore it, but it was not very supportive nor the best looking fit. Now that I've realized I can convert the straps however, it's a smidge too small! I have breast tissue all the way up to my collar bone it feels like (I am *very* short) and the strap kinda cuts in. The cups are at the same time too wide and not wide enough: the wires are at least .5 inches too wide but the cup cuts into my underarm area leaving lumps of what I assume is breast tissue just chilling out. I get a tiny bit of quad but it's not that noticeable. The best part? I now have cleavage! So, in summary: the straps convert! Just pop those suckers out and cross them over. Big help if they were too long before. The cups-weird. Too wide but also too narrow-could be because it's altogether too small. Band-very stretchy. Comfortably wide but on the second to last/last hooks over a couple of months. Comfort-hella comfy. It gets a 10/10 here. Durability/quality-yes, I machine wash this. My sinks in my dorm won't hold water so I can't handwash very well. I wash it on delicate, in a bag, never machine dry it. I haven't had issues before but on one strap there's a cut-I need to fix it or it'll probably snap. I've never had this issue before. The cups seem relatively shallow, the bottom collapses. Sorry for rambling, but overall if you know you fit into a 32DDD for sure, this is a good bra to buy. Gotta watch out for the quality but overall it's pretty comfy. I wouldn't buy it again but only because the cup's too small and the band's too long/stretchy. Read more 372 more words
