Bra fitting help » I cannot find bras to fit. I am supposed to be a 36D. Front gores are problems.
Aootoo » Unknown Model » 38 C/D
Another AooToo in a different style. Love the mesh insert to bring the breasts under control. Still feels like the bottom gore is too wide and it pulls. Also some wrinkling in the cup area. Still concerned about band tightness even though this is a 38 band.

helpfulThis is a wireless bra, so therefore can not have the same fit requirements as one. With a wireless bra there is nothing that is forcing the gore to lay flat against your rib cage, therefore it never will lay flat against your rib cage. This bra fits you OK for a wireless bra. The wrinkling you have pointed out here is really very tiny and a non-issue (except the wrinkling in the band).
You WILL ALWAYS get lines on your rib cage from a properly fitting bra.
The firmer your band is the LESS it will bite into you because it is not pulling up your back, cutting into any "bacl fat" you may have. You will always get a tiny bit of biting.
This bra is no where near properly fitting you.
You keep saying you are worried about band tightness. All of your fit problems are stemming from the fact that band is TOO BIG for you. The band is RIDING UP your back and WRINKLING because the band is TOO BIG.
Because the band is BIG it forces the straps to support your breasts instead of the band. The band is wrinkling because it is TOO BIG.
Make sure when you put on a bra that you are pulling all your tissue from the sides of your body into the cup. The band needs to be firm enough to keep the tissue in the cup.
I highly recommend checking out Curvy Kate bras in a 32G, 34FF, Tutti Rouge in 34F/32FF (Nicole Bra) and 34FF/32G in the rest of their styles, Freya Half-cup bras in 32FF/34F. Look for bras with shorter cups and vertical seams.
I think once you try on bras that are actually closer your proper size you will start realize how much better it is and how much better it looks and feels. You will actually feel supported and your breasts will look great!
Keep in mind, if you ever think a band is too tight, try the bra on backwards and upside down so that you do not have the cups and straps on. A band should not pull away from the body more than inch or two.
Also keep in mind that a lot of the time a bra will wrinkle and appear to big, but in reality it is not too big, it is just the wrong bra shape for you.I really hope you follow what I have wrote out here, because you finally start finding a bra the fits well and supports you if you do.

Well first, make sure you totally re-measure your under bust (rib cage directly underneath your breats) because the band fit is soooo important or a bra to be comfortable and look good.
Amazon is the easiest place to find cheaper bras that you can easily return. Just type in the size you want and find the cheapest ones!
Also looking through the listings available here could help you figure out your "perfect" size range so that you know what to look for when ordering from bra shops online or in-store.
Brastop.com, figleaves.com, curvykate.com, bravissmo.com, (i think, you can just google bravissmo is that .com doesnt work), all of these places have Sales very commonly.
You can also google D+ Plus Size Bras (or any of the brands I suggested) and you will get bombarded with all sorts of places, just go through the clearance sections and you will find lots of good cheap deals.
I know it can be SO HARD to spend over 20$ for a bra, but if you save up and buy a more expensive bra you may find it is the best purchase you have ever made.
Elomi is also a very good brand for comfort!
I wanted to note that I read through your other posts and one of them said you under bust measured about 35" , if that is the case these are the sizes I recommend: 36E/34F. A bra should always fit on the loosest hooks. Always lean over when putting on a bra, and once it is closed, stand up and stick your hand into the bra and pull all the tissue into the cups.
I will look around for you and post some links as well. -
http://bra.pe/GEhx/ <---I think this user is fairly close to your measurements and understands comfort more than anything else! If you purchase 2 of her bras the shipping is free! Wacoal is RENOWN for it's comfortable bras.
Here is one I found on amazon that is not padded and that I think you would really like, it's like the only one I have found so far that is that costly, but it does have free shipping and I recommend only purchasing 36DD or 36DDD from Wacoal : https://www.amazon.com/Wacoal-Womens-Innocence-Underwire-Mercury/dp/B06XCW7N1Z/ref=sr_1_76?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1532937705&sr=1-76&nodeID=7141123011&psd=1&keywords=wacoal%2Bbras%2B36DDD&th=1&psc=1
From Wacoal (b'temptd, which i suggest going for the 36DDD because the b'temptd line tends to run smaller in the cup: https://www.amazon.com/b-temptd-Wacoal-Womens-B-Provocative-Contour/dp/B01E0D7DA2/ref=sr_1_70?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1532938316&sr=1-70&nodeID=7141123011&psd=1&keywords=wacoal%2Bbras%2B36DDD&th=1&psc=1

Thank you sooooo much!!!! I appreciate your knowledge and it so nice to have someone think I am not crazy for not being able to find a bra. I will start looking now.
Actually, the bra band measurements for the body (not the bra) which are in the 31, 32, 33 inches are correct. I must have slipped and put in old measurements. I actually have lost a bit of weight, lol!

Well then all those links are still very viable, just go with my previously suggested sizes (32FF or 34F) and you may want to get an extender to help yourself get used to the smaller bands.
I know some women whom have had a really hard time adjusting to their correct band size would buy new bras in one band size down until they got used to it then would go another band size down. Lets use example size 38D, the girl would buy a 36DD until she was very comfortable then she would buy a 34E until she was very comfortable, then she would move to the 32F and then onto the 30FF which was what her measurements said she should be wearing.
Keep in mind that when looking on Amazon that a lot of the places use US or EU bras sizes instead of the UK bra sizes that we/I use here. Instead of figuring out the equivalent bra size in each of those you can just count the cups till you get the right amount you need. For example: you want to aim to get is a 32FF/34F (UK sizes) a 32FF bra is 8 cup sizes up from A. So click the drop down menu and start counting A = 1 , B = 2, C = 3 until you hit the 8th cup on the list. So on alot of US brands you would be buying a 32H since it is the 8th cup size (A,B,C,D,DD,DDD,G,H) and on alot of EU brands you would be buying a 70H since it is the 8th cup size (A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H, 70 is the EU equivalent to a 32 band) .
Since you have lost some weight you may want to try the 32F or 34E first and see how those fit. ^.^
You will also want to re-take you bratabase measurements and put them in again to make sure they are updated! And also go to this bra size calculator to make sure you are searching for bras in your most recent measurements: https://www.abrathatfits.org/calculator.phpI really do wish you the best of luck and hope that when you try on a bra with a small enough band and large enough cup that you will finally understand and feel how much more comfortable and better it is for your breasts, back and shoulders!
I look forward to seeing some fitting requests from you soon! -

Mabqueen I found this and though you would like it, https://www.herroom.com/paramour-by-felina-175030-ariel-wire-free-bralette-with-lace-back.shtml
Make sure you get the 34DD/34DDD -
LeProfessor I just wanted to note that, although you stated this bra band is too big, if you check the measurements the band is about 2 inches too tight and is a bit smaller than the wearers btt measurement. That’s becayse this is from a brand that uses the +4 system, essentially making this bra a 32 E/F in British sizing.
I just wanted to note that, for certain body types, mine included, bands can also ride up if they are too small. On A shaped torso that is certainly the case. So band rise can be deceptive.
Not trying to call you out, just trying to be informative for you and the OP! The more you know! I made the same mistake a year ago and now I always check bra measuremts against body measurements in fit checks. :)

Thank you cupandahalf I always appreciate being fact checked. And I'm not being sarcastic, I really do mean it. ^.^
I do wish there was a way we could make measuring these measurements "Standardized" though so we all know we are following the same measurement standards.
I know some women measure the stretched band measurement until it can no longer stretch, some measure it until the wires start to distort, and others do some where inbetween. Perhaps Jj could make videos or get someone to make videos for him to show us BTB users how the measurements should be taken some they are all standard!

More control ? My guess is that, if you accept more control = more coverage, then Elila 1305 might be an interesting softcup opportunity available in your size.
Their 13xx series have in common a very well build chassis, superior straps that never fall and very authoritarian cups that litteraly aspire whatever scooped and swooped.
I'm currently in an Elila 1301, my actual fleet is mostly 1303's and witness first hand what they can do and how durably comfortble they are.
Hugs,
Mathy
I am in tears from these comments. I looked at these bras. While I am willing to try different styles, these are all ones with gores and I have such problems with gores. The gores are too tall and cut into my sternum. They are also too wide and the cup wires end up on the breast instead of under. Also I hate it when the straps are at the armholes - they always fall off because I have sloping shoulders. Would like to have four hooks in the back as well. If you can inform me of some places where I can get these brands for less money and they will accept returns, I will be glad to try. All I want is a bra that I can wear for 8 to 10 hours and not be in pain. Also I am overweight and of course the flesh rides up over the bra when I sit which causes pain. I appreciate you telling me about the correct fit and what is going on there.
